We are headed to WDW the last week of Oct. We have tickets to our first MNSSHP and are beyond excited! There are 4 parties during our trip and DD hasn't been since 2019. We are debating if we should attend 2 parties, which would be another splurge, or if we should just attend our first one and see if we enjoy it as much as we think we will. It has been a bucket list for both of us for years. We want to see the parade and fireworks for sure, meet the 7 dwarfs, and sprinkle in a little trick or treating. Any insight to help us decide would be great! Thanks in advance!

I've done two parties in one trip before and have liked having the extra time to do everything I wanted at the parties. I liked having one day for rides and trick or treating and the second for meeting characters (especially since the character lines can be a bit long). I'd recommend it if you have the time and there are enough things you'd like to do :)

I would definitely consider two parties if this is a bucket list item for you. I LOVE the Halloween party and I can never fit everything in on one night - the time goes fast! Especially if you want to meet the Dwarfs - character lines can get very long. I would probably dedicate one party to the dwarfs and either fireworks or parade (plus some trick or treating) and the second party for anything you missed or want to repeat (the stage show is great too!). You may want to make the decision sooner rather than later as the parties the last week of Oct. will most likely sell out.

We used to do two parties in a week trip for many years. It was so much fun with so much to do ~ and we are big Halloween people ~ we wanted to go twice.

Now that they are selling so many more tickets you almost have to go to two if you want to do everything. We have decided to just do one and narrow our focus but I would love to do two again, someday.

Thank you! I like your plan. We just aren't certain we can get everything done in one night.

CarolynFH, I never thought of it that way. Very helpful!
I’ve enjoyed the Halloween parties very much, but I’d rather my second splurge in a given trip be something else, like a backstage tour, instead of repeating the party a few days later.

We have had a few discussions, but can't come to a decision. So many things to do and so little time! MVMCP is also a bucket list item and that is next, but no idea if we can save enough to get back next or not, so we want to squeeze as much out of this trip as possible.

DD LOVES Halloween! It's one of the reasons that we are torn on what to do. There is no way we can do everything that she has on her list property wide as it is, so if we do 2 parties she has to give up something else. Decisions, decisions ....

There’s definitely enough to keep you occupied at MNSSHP two times in one season. Some of the character meet lines can take up a fair amount of the party time.

On the other hand, that money would pay for LL access a few days, couple of really meals, fireworks party, etc.

I wouldn’t do two parties, but I can see why folks might. If you really want to, you do need to buy the ticket now. They do sell out.

We’ve done two Christmas parties in the past - one for character meets/parade and then another that was more relaxed because we weren’t trying to fit everything in - just an atmosphere night and a few rides in between the parade/shows.

We did two Halloween parties on our last trip! We had never been during MNSSHP before and I'm not sure when we'll have the chance again, so we decided to do two so there wasn't as much pressure to fit everything in during the first party. It was definitely the right call! We were able to slow down and spend some time just enjoying the party atmosphere.

We don’t do character meets and find we can get all we want to do with one party. We also don’t focus on attractions other than the ones with overlays as we do those during the day.

All very good points that we hadn't considered. We will certainly give those some thought.

This sounds perfect! We are afraid of actually missing the party and the atmosphere because we are rushing, trying to get it all in. Two nights would give us the opportunity to slow down and soak it all in. If only the Party Pass was still in existence.

Exactly! We don't get to go very often and we don't know when we will get back. The next trip we want to do MVMCP and we certainly can't do two trips in a year to do both holiday parties, so do we splurge for 2 parties now while we have the opportunity to go?

I Interpret this to mean that the parties really are a lot of fun! We are very excited! My DD loves Halloween and I think Halloween at MK will be tons of fun!
We do it for the parade, fireworks and atmosphere and my husband does it for the candy. lol. We’re really a Halloween loving family, so we’re just happy walking around and soaking it all in. It’s especially fun to see all the costumes. Some people go all out. :thumbsup2

The only characters we are interested in meeting are the Dwarfs and were planning on lining up as soon as it opens. I think the only ride we want to do is HM. Not knowing what to expect makes it hard to know if one party is enough or if we should do two.
