Two little Princesses on their first trip to WDW *8/30 - update*

Those pictures are priceless. I am so glad that you had a great time and kids are never to young to enjoy Disney.

what a wonderful magical moment for the girls at CRTprincess:
great photopass pictures, as well!!

Yes, we lucked out in the magic department!

I love the sister pictures. They will be treasured memories of a magical day.

They will be treasured forever!

We really did have a great time. Both girls really enjoyed Disney!

I'm all caught up now! Your girls looked wonderful for their princess lunch - that was so sweet of Belle to help out during the wishing ceremony :)

Speaking of Belle...my DD7's best friend's dad has a crush on Belle - they were at WDW in April and he would have loved to have been on stage with her!

Yeah - I thought it was neat that Belle came over during the wishing ceremony to help Kate.

Funny! Your daughter's friend's dad would have loved the interaction with Belle! Maybe he'll luck out on a future trip!

Hi Carissa,

I saw a post from you on CP's TR and thought I would hop over and say Hi. I live in Iowa too! I'm subbing to come back and find out how your trip turned out!

I'm enjoying your TR and your girls are absolutely adorable! Reading and seeing your girls there is making me so excited for our upcoming trip! My girls will be 2 1/2 and almost 4 when we go!

I have a few question - can you tell me how you made yoru autograph books? I remember somewhere you said you made them and I notice they were bound - did you take them to Staples or something? And was there room in there for photographs as well?

I LOVE all your girls cute outfits. Did you make some of them (like the yellow dresses)? Soooo precious! Inspires me to make up a bunch of shirts and make sure my girls match each day!

Loving your TR! The girls are so cute---love how they match! I am a big fan of matching my kids (as you can see in my TR!) Subbing---cant wait to read more:goodvibes

Today was our “free day.” I had plans for us to go to DTD. We didn’t sleep in too late, but we didn’t rush, either. We headed down to the buses. We didn’t have to wait more than five minutes for our bus to come. I tell ya, we were so spoiled by the monorail. It was tough being on the bus for so long and stopping at Typhoon Lagoon on our way!

We finally made it to the Marketplace – or I think that’s what it’s called. I honestly can’t remember the order of our “touring” this morning. I do know we stopped by Earl of Sandwich to split a breakfast sandwich early on. It was mighty tasty! Then we hit the stores. On our way around we found some cute friends for the girls to attempt to take pictures with.

Lily had seen the stuffed Marie dolls from the Aristocats when we were in France getting her passport signed the night before and was just dying to get Marie. I promised that we would look for her in DTD and if we couldn’t find one that we’d stop back on Friday when we’d be back to Epcot for supper. The first store we really shopped in was Once Upon a Toy. I should have taken a picture…there was a huge rack of nothing but Marie. Both girls were in heaven. There was enough variety that each girl was able to pick out a Marie, but they look different, so it’s easy to tell which Marie belongs to which girl. We let each girl pick out one more stuffed animal. Kate chose Daisy Duck and Lily chose Lady. Lily got a crown and dog collar for her Lady and Kate got a princess Mickey ears cap and kitty collar for her Marie. I must admit they were pretty cute.

We went through World of Disney on a mission to get us all souvenir t-shirts. Andy is a tall guy (as you may have figured out in some of the pics) and he usually needs talls. I asked a sales clerk if they carried any talls. Of course, not. :confused3 We did end up finding him a cute orange surfing Mickey shirt in a size larger than he usually buys. It works. I looked all over that store and still am not real happy with what I selected. I wanted something that looked like you could only buy it at Disney World. I looked all over, and finally found something basic with a blue Mickey on it. We were looking for the girls, but they were both adamant that they did NOT want shirts from Disney. Oh well! I guess they can wear the ones I made for them…

All this shopping was making us hungry. Off to Wolfgang Puck Express. One look at the menu and the ambience of the eatery made us decide the girls would not enjoy the fare here. We high tailed it back to Earl…along with everyone else in DTD. The line was huge! Andy sat down with the girls while I ordered. We paid OOP for this meal. I loved the original sandwich – it was awesome!!! I think we ordered a club, too, since that is one of my favorite sandwiches – it was pretty good, but not quite as yummy as the original. The girls split a grilled cheese. They wanted to like it, but neither really did.

I somehow had it in my head that Ghiradelli was on the DDP, too, so we stopped in there for treats until I realized we couldn’t use any of our numerous snack credits here. Moving on…

At some point we hit Goofy’s. Now this is some bang for your buck with snack credits!!! The girls loved watching the lady dip and dunk our treats.

I really wanted to take the girls to the Lego store, but we weren’t sure where it was located and it was getting late. We loaded up our goodies and went to the boarding area to wait for our bus. We made it back to the Poly with nothing special to report on our trip back. We let the girls dig into their yummy treats from Goofy’s.

Next update - Ohanas!

Hi Carissa,

I saw a post from you on CP's TR and thought I would hop over and say Hi. I live in Iowa too! I'm subbing to come back and find out how your trip turned out!

Hello! Can you believe what a cool July we've had in Iowa this year? Brrr...

I'm enjoying your TR and your girls are absolutely adorable! Reading and seeing your girls there is making me so excited for our upcoming trip! My girls will be 2 1/2 and almost 4 when we go!

Yeah! You'll have so much fun. Your girls are at great ages for WDW!

I have a few question - can you tell me how you made yoru autograph books? I remember somewhere you said you made them and I notice they were bound - did you take them to Staples or something? And was there room in there for photographs as well?

I printed off the autograph page designs off the DISign thread. I can't remember whose disigns I used - probably Kellybell or Donatalie. They both had tons of great stuff in their photobucket accounts. I had a little problem getting them bound. I ran to Des Moines a few nights before we were to leave. I had called FedEx/Kinkos night before and the kid that answered said it would take just a couple minutes to put a spiral binding on them. I asked him if there would be much of a wait and he said no. When I got there the lady told me they'd be ready about 1/2 an hour after I had planned to be on my way back home. I gave her my instructions. When I got back, whoever bound them messed up and bound them on the top instead of the side. I had printed them so that I could cut off the spiral and stick the autograph pages into my scrapbooks. I was pretty bummed - and aparently feeling a little overwhelmed. I'm not proud, but I ended up crying. Got my stuff for free, but felt really stupid.

I LOVE all your girls cute outfits. Did you make some of them (like the yellow dresses)? Soooo precious! Inspires me to make up a bunch of shirts and make sure my girls match each day!

Thanks! Definitely make t-shirts - they were tons of fun to wear!

I ordered the blue cinderella tanks and the yellow dresses off Disney shopping online.

I like how the photos look with us at least in the same color scheme.

Loving your TR! The girls are so cute---love how they match! I am a big fan of matching my kids (as you can see in my TR!) Subbing---cant wait to read more:goodvibes

Thank you! I love matching kids, too! :)

Such great DTD pictures:goodvibes Sounds like you made some fun purchases too. Of course you have to get the kids some stuffed animals. What is it with kids and stuffed animals? And you know they multiply when they arrive at your home, right?:lmao: We were at DTD that day too. I looked for us in your Goofy's Candy pictures, but I didn't see us:confused: I think we had the same girl make our treats though and they were yummy:goodvibes

WOW what a story behind the autograph books! Yes, I've been lurking around on their photobucket accounts and think I'll use some of theirs to print off. I like the idea of having them bound - I'll have to try it out! THANKS!!!

I totally enjoyed the pix of the girls at DTD! Especially the 2 of them with their ears on watching the candy being made! I think it's the first time I actually got DH to show some enthusiasm for taking our girls there - he was envisioning them doing the same things your girls were - watching the candy!!! :lovestruc

Aren't those gals amazingly talented in the Disign section?

:lovestruc Awww...I'm glad I could help out! Soon enough, your DH will learn that you know what you're doing. Andy thought I wasted a lot of time on the DIS and at TGM, but he understood how beneficial it was once we got there. And - the girls LOVED watching her make their treats! I have some pictures on our last day of them trying to make a dent in them.

I really enjoy DTD. Love that Earl of Sandwich and Goofy's.:cloud9: Your daughters look so darling in their matching outfits. I can't dress my princesses alike any more, unless its in matching tshirts.:sad1:

You HAVE to buy plushies at Disney! It's a law!

I know - more stuffed animals - great. :sad2: Both girls still sleep with their WDW stuffed animals, so I suppose they're worth it.

Funny! I bet we saw each other while we were down there - just had no idea who each of us were. I'll have to check it out in your TR. I'm really behind on reading other's reports, so I'm not sure how far you are. I think the last one I read was SWW. I think I read it when I should have been heading back to lunch, so I don't think I've posted anything yet. Better get over there and post!!!

You really have some lovely photos of your girls...:cloud9: CRT is really priceless to do with little girls...

Downtown Disney looks like it was so much fun...I"m glad the girls were able to get their Maries...

Goofy's looks great-I have to try one of the pretzels-I've read you get 3 for one snack credit...did you get any of those...

(DS is really chomping to get to DTD-his birthday is a week before we go and he wants money from his grandparents so he can go to the lego store and make a light saber and maybe a potatoe head...

and he saw something is a photo about a Goofy slushie-where you can make your own cup...I hope they still have them...:confused3

Sounds like a fun day at DTD! We only spent a couple of hours there tops and I'm torn between thinking we missed out and knowing that any longer would have meant a very long chorus of "No you cannot get that, you're spending money is gone"!

Great report. The title caught my eye-similar to mine. We took our girls 5 and almost 3 on their first trip in May. We are also considering DVC-resale. We are in Az so not to close but do plan to try and go once a year. My plan-hubby may have a different one :) We did bkfst at CRT and also had a great time. Our best interactions were with the Fairies. My little DD also did not like the characters-especially Tigger! Can't wait to read more.

I hate it when work interferes with Dis time!!! lol. Seriously though, I am so glad I am all caught up!!! The girls looked so adorable in their dresses and in their floral outfits at DTD!! They are SO cute! What made you not feel the WGPE love?? Just curious, not judging. I loved it there and the food was really good! I love Earls also though!;):lmao:

Funny you ask. SunnieRN has me questioning myself already. I think if I could get 50 - 75 pts for BLT I may have a really hard time not buying in. I think 160 pts is too expensive for how often I think we'll actually travel. I guess I'm going to him-haw for a while yet! :rotfl:

:scared1::yay::cool2: I guess I am an enabler...lol. I hope it works out for you!!! We love our membership!!:goodvibes

My mommy ego is through the roof right now. Thank you for the compliments! I thought they looked pretty dang cute, but I'm their mom...I supposed to think that! ;)

You did such a fantastic job and the pictures from photopass, both of the girls and your family are precious!!

So looking forward to more!! I couldn't get O'Hanas for September, but I got LeCellier?:confused3 Wierd isn't it?
