I'm not only having one baby, but I'm having twins (will be approx. 4 or 5 months old in April 2006). Will DCL accomodate two babies instead of one (ie. two pack n plays)? And what will that do to our comfortability levels in our cabins? I'm just thinking about cancelling this trip all together. :(

As long as both cabins are quad occupancy and your total is 8 people, you'll be fine. They will give you 2 port a cribs. Congrats on the twins!

Yes, you should be ok. with twins you'll probably need this vacation!! I was surprised how many infants I saw on board. I waited til my son was 18 months old.... I do regret that. It'll just take some planning I'm sure. enjoy your cruise!!

Congrats Cadence and family!
Your older ones will be in the clubs and Flounders is absolutely wonderful. Definitely plan for dinner at Palo. The cruise will probably be the first time you and your DH can have dinner alone! Also, we used Flounders one evening, so we could have fun with our older kids sans baby.

Enjoy!

Also, make sure to call DCL and add the extra baby to be onto the reservation so they will reserve a space for the new arrival. Those are going to be some teeny tiny faces in the passport pictures!

WOW! Congratulations! Guess this changes the entire car shopping plan since you now need that "extra" seat for a friend. I hope that you go on the cruise. You will need the break by then. :)

I wouldn't worry too much about additional equipment as it usually is good for multiples to share a crib/playpen/etc. Alot of them really enjoy being so close to the other and it really seems to keep them more content!

Congrats on the twins :flower:

You won't have a problem but make sure you have two 4 people cabins booked. Also, have the babies added to your reservation ASAP. You can do this by adding a TBA to each of your reservations. Even small infants count towards the cabin and lifeboat capacity and if you wait too long there might be no room for them.

I am a mom of twins, now 11, so I have been thinking of a few tips:
Did you say whether you were thinking of a 3,4, or 7 day? - just a heads up, twins will require lots of formula (if you don't nurse), diapers and baby food (depending on their birthday - remember many twins are early)....that's a lot of luggage
another thought - many of the doorways are fairly narrow and you may want a front/back stroller rather than a sidebyside

My personal experience was that at 4-5 months I was just beginning to handle the workload (it's the "maintenance" that is rough) and be functional (enough sleep to think straight)... mealtimes were an adventure since they both weren't able to entertain themselves at the same time.
I know all kids are different - some babies are great at self soothing and some aren't....IMHO - I can't imagine going on the cruise with twins this young

hopefully others who have done so will be better able to advise (I just think one baby is a snap compared to two. DIS parents who describe their cruise experience who just brought one...well, as they say, your experience may vary)
I hope you stay pregnant a good long time (even though eventually you will wish otherwise) and have lots of help!

We're doing 4 days and that's enough with kids. I sort of figured it would be too much for us especially on a cruise. If their temperments are too much then I'll just cancel it. Thank you for all of the advice.

Our twins first cruised at age 6 months and we all had a great time. The twins are babies #6 & 7 for us.

We find DCL to be very accomodating and two pack n plays was no problem. We kept one in each stateroom as our twinkies always cobedded at that age. They will also bring a diaper genie if you request it. We did utilize flounders and actually got a few hours to relax a little and enjoy our older children.

If you have any twin/disney questions, just pm me and I will happily answer any I can.

Congratulations on the double blessings :goodvibes
