I recently booked the "Golden Eagle Catamaran" in St. Martin and then tried to add the "See and Sea" afterwards. The "Golden Eagle" would go from 7:45 am until 12:15pm, and the "See and Sea" starts at 1:15 pm. The CM told me I wouldn't have time. Anyone know why?

did you ask if you get off the tour in the same place you would get on the tour?

I know they require about 30 - 60 minutes prior to tour
arrival, looks like you may miss that if the first tour runs late at
all.

you may try booking through someone other than DCL.
there are many places (usually) to book tours.:sunny:

If you end up having to make a choice, go for the Golden Eagle over the See and Sea.

DH and I did the island tour and the golden Eagle 2 years ago...Island tour was cool, Eagle was great....don't know why you can't do both...call back again, maybe you'll get a different CM??

I finally got a CM who could explain this to me. . . . I am still not happy with the answer, though.

She says that "sometimes" the excursions run over and you may miss the second one. She suggested that I try once I am on the boat at the Shore Excursion Desk. Since the Golden Eagle sells out quicker, I have booked that one and will attempt the See and Sea when I get on board.

My 6 year old really wants to do the semi-sub, and I will keep trying!

Thanks everyone for listening to me!

Just wanted to add this :)

I worked at DCL reservations (in the shore excursions department) and just wanted to let you know that it is the way the computer is set up and not the CM just telling you you can't. There are certain shore excursions (based on start time) that are not compatable. Once you book one the other options that are not compatable with it will be dropped from the computer system. It will not allow them to even add them in an override fashion. The explination that you received was correct it is because of the end time of one and start time of the other. Checking on board is a good idea, they "may" be able to assist you.

If you wait till on board you risk it being sold out.

I hope it all works out!!

find out who locally runs the second tour and book through them. or consider doing the Atlantis submarine tour. They have an afternoon tour and it is an actual submarine ride that goes 60- 100 feet below the ocean.

I've been on 3 Disney sponsored excursions (2 West/1 East). All were at least 45-75 minutes late getting back. May not be the norm though.
