Two Disney items checked off my Bucket List!

Long story short, DH had to cancel a long anticipated European cruise (first class all the way) due to a work committment. Huge dissappointment for us both. We rebooked a Christmas cruise out of Miami and we added 4 days at WDW over New Years at the Grand Floridian!!!!!
I have wanted to see the NYE fireworks since forever, and to stay at the GF since it opened in 1988. Yippeee!

I am sorry to miss Corsica, Malta, and Sicily but what a nice replacement! And DH isn't much of a mouse fan so he must really be feeling guilty!

Just had to share this news with people who "get it"!

We've been lucky enough to do both, but not in one stay. You're going to love it and forget all about that other trip!

Having cruised to Malta and Sicily in May and most recently visited WDW in April (I stayed at the Swan) - both are wonderful...just different. Enjoy your Christmas cruise and time at WDW, and hopefully another cruise to the Mediterranean is in the works.

Yes the two vacations were apples to oranges. I am very sorry to have to miss our wonderful cruise. The itinerary was perfect for me--I have been to almost every country in Europe (except Ireland, and the more unusual Romania, Albania, etc) so it have an itinerary that got me to some new ports was a big deal.

But this is a wonderful alternative. Now if we can just survive our Dec 23rd flight to Miami!
