Ugh just our luck...we leave Thursday and my daughter just spiked a 102 fever I hope she feels better soon!

:worried: sorry to hear that, hope she feels better soon! Make sure to pack the children's Tylenol just in case. :goodvibes have a wonderful trip.

Oh no! sorry to hear this. Maybe take her to the doctor tomorrow and rule out the things you could do something about...ear infection, strep. Otherwise, its probably just a virus that will run its course. Hope she is better soon!

Yes we are determined to lol! Older kids (7 & 11) have no idea

Better now than in 3 days from now!!!

If its just a cold her fever will be gone before you leave, so good timing on her part.:)

I would take her to the doctor just in case she has something that requires an antibiotic. Tell the doctor that you are going to Disney in a couple days. I've had a doctor upgrade our antibiotic before one of our trips. My son had been on one antibiotic for 5 days without much improvement. When the doctor heard we were going to Disney in 3 days, he went ahead and went to a stronger antibiotic for us.

My DGD pediatrician did something similar. As soon as my DD told him about our trip, he gave DGD an antibiotic.

Oh NO!!! ok... straight to the doctor.. get a shot and meds.. rest her up!!!! Good luck and God bless!!!

Yes thank you! I'm going to bring her in just to make sure it's not an ear infection or something else. Requiring antibiotics, colds I can handle no problem just don't want to be stuck in fl with a sick baby!

If the doctor seems hesitant to give her an antibiotic, I'd ask if they would write one you would only fill if she gets worse while you're gone.

I hope it passes quickly!

Have her tested for strep. We seem to always get that before our trips. In fact 3 years ago all 4 of us tested positive the day before we left... got antibiotics and had the best trip ever. We have strep now two weeks out.

This happened to us before our last trip in December. The entire family (all 5 of us) came down with fevers a few days before. We were all tested for strep and all positive. Fortunately, we had enough time for anti-biotics to kick in. We were also driving and not flying so the kids had 9 hours in the car to just rest.

Regardless, not fun!

This seems to happen to us every trip. Take her to the doctors. Hope she is better soon.

We are 12 days out and all 4 of us have the flu. We all tested positive. The little ones are doing much better over the past 2 days. DH & I are doing far worse at this point :( Just to get as much rest as possible! Good luck to you guys! Hope she feels better.

Agree about the doctors! Most pediatricians (at least I would hope) would give you an antibiotic when you've got a big trip like this planned. Until then rest and hydrate as much as you can!
