I think I may take advantage of the Black Friday discount. I'm considering buying two contracts at BLT. If I buy two contracts, do I pay two separate closing costs?

If you buy directly from Disney, you do not have closing costs.

Actually, I think New Owners have closing costs, existing owners do not pay closing costs on add oncontracts direct from Disney.

As to the OPs question, if you are a new member and are splitting the purchase into two contracts, I honestly don't know if it is one or two closing costs, sorry. :confused3

I believe the second contract is considered an add on and would not have closing costs. I'm pretty sure that when my DSIL joined the DVC last March, she purchased two contracts and paid closing costs only on the first contract.

However, if you are just splitting your BLT points into two different contracts that could be different. Best to call your guide and ask.

From my own personal experience, you will only be charged closing costs on one contract. I was a new member when I bought BLT and I split the purchase into several contracts, but only paid closing costs on the first contract.

We did exactly this at the New York Doorway to Dreams store over the Black Friday weekend, got 2 contracts, 125 points ea at BLT, $97 per point, and only pay closing on one. Banked the 250 points for 2010 into 2011, and getting a 2 bedrm lake view in August. Looking forward to our first ever DVC stay!

I thought there is no closing cost if you buy direct from disney new owner or not.

First time direct purchases pay a reduced closing cost. Disney splits that with you. In the past, it is true that Disney charged no closing costs in addition to the purchase price, but that was changed years ago.
