Two Castles and a Polynesian Dream (A Wedding & a Disneymoon) Update*Mr & Mrs*

That looks like an awesome store. I am so jealous as our Disney Store here is a total bust. I love, love, love the picture frame and the vinylmation. Very cool. :cool1:

The store is pretty cool and hopefully your one will get a revamp too as it looks like they are revamping all the stores in the US :)

Yippie! All caught up again AND .......

your cruise plans are wonderful! :goodvibes :woohoo: :goodvibes

Love your first day after the cruise - Sophia and Joe are such nice people. We were really lucky meeting them worked out last year!

Cali Grill to start off your vacation - are you copying MY plans? :rotfl2: ;)

As for shopping on your embarkation day - if you mean the shops on the ship - they only open once you are out at sea, sorry.

And if you go to the beach in Cocoa Beach (or whatever it is called) you will NOT be able to see the ship from there. The port is too far back to see it. But you can drive past the ship when they pick you up!

Thanks :) We can't wait for the Cruise, is going to be so much fun :)

CG is the best way to start off the land trip and perfect for our first dinner together. Plus your reviews are so good, we were tempted to eat here twice on this trip :teeth:

Ah so once the ship has left the dock will the shops open then?

I am looking into where they can pick us up from, beach wise I am assuming there must be somewhere one can stop off to take pics, even if it isn't a beach.

we just got one of those cool new stores near us too and I just love going there, I love when the villains try to take the store!!!

You could spend all day in that store, there is so much to see and do and thats before you even look at the stuff for sale :teeth:

Hi all :)

How are we all doing today?

I figure its time for another Disney update, we are up to Day 5 at the mo.

Day 5 - Monday September 19th
Today is our first full day at WDW and where better to kick start our Land Adventure then by making rope drop at...

IMG_2286.jpg

Magic Kingdom! I don't really have a proper outside shot, must try and get one this year :teeth:

We love the opening ceremony for MK and can't wait to catch it again this year. Last year we watched it for the very first time and the grins on our faces were huge! The song is so catchy and is my favourite on the Four Parks CD.

WDWTrip201031.jpg

WDWTrip201035.jpg

We are also spending the day with the lovely Joe and Sophia, hopefully they will make rope drop too, otherwise once the park opens we'll meet them at Main St Bakery for one of these babies...

WDWTrip20101909.jpg

I am so in love with these and may try to make some myself one day (but doubt they will ever be as good as these). We don't really have set plans as of yet for the park, I guess over breakfast we'll discuss a plan of attack.

I know Sophia normally goes through Adventure Land first, whereas me and Dave grab a FP for one of the Mountains and then ride them both before heading off to Fantasy Land to knock those rides out. Then by mid morning we are done and usually head over to Tomorrow Land to grab another FP and do some bits there.

We'll also be lunching together as well which should be fun. Liberty Tree Tavern is the TS of choice, gonna be so yummy, can't wait to get my Pilgrims Feast :teeth:

WDWTrip2010191.jpg

After lunch we'll most prob use the FP's we've accumulated, am hoping to catch the Parade as well (which I know Soph wants to do too), so we'll find a spot to settle down in before it starts. Most probably will send the boys off to get us snacks and drinks.

I am hoping we will be able to catch the MEP too as we never really got to watch this properly, we usually caught it mid flow but were always on our way somewhere. If we have time then we'll watch this, will have to be close to Fantasy Land or the Hub as we have an 8:30pm reservation at...

WDWTrip2010387.jpg

I am hoping that the windows won't be boarded up when we dine here as that would be really annoying. Apparently they are now boarding the windows up there so people can't see into the new Fantasy Land construction. I know its wishful thinking, but I was hoping we would be able to get the same table we had last year, which is right by the balcony and has a perfect view of the carousel and fireworks.

Part of me is thinking that if the boards are still up I don't want to eat here as there isn't much of a draw for me to go back as the food is pretty average and I am not fussed about the characters. What do you guys think? Should we just stick it out, or find somewhere else to eat?

So depending on where we eat we'll most prob make our way back to the resort as it will have been a really long day. If we're not too tired we might go to the Tambu Lounge and grab a cocktail.

So that's it for Day 5, stay tuned for Day 6 :)

Great day 5 plans!

We love the opening ceremony at MK too! We saw it for the first time this past November, and at first, Brandon had no idea why I was making him wait outside with a crowd of people, and didn't understand what was going on, but he ended up loving it! I think I might have cried a little, finally hearing the song from 4 Parks 1 World...:rolleyes1

I can't believe they are boarding up windows at CRT! That just seems pretty un-Disneylike to me. :sad2: Why don't they just make higher walls blocking the construction? *Sigh* I wouldn't want to eat there either, if the windows were boarded up!

Wow at Oxford St being so empty. I made the mistake of going there on a weekend of the sales once and I could barely move! :scared1:

Love the new Disney store and the castle - I would love to see Rapunzel wrap her hair round that.

Great video of Tink and I hope you guys get to open the store one day - it looks cool!

Mmm at the Selfridge goodies! popcorn::

Great MK plans! I love the look of the opening ceremony :)

Wonderful updates Stefy!!! :goodvibes

I haven't been on DIS for awhile & I am very, very behind -- your report is the first I've caught up on!!!

I read your Day 4 and Day 5 updates as well as the one about the brand new Disney Store!

First of all, about the 2 new dresses -- I love the first one! I actually saw one similar to that a few weeks ago -- the one that I saw was medium-blue and had a lake-city at the bottom similar to that one! I like yours a lot better than the one I saw though! :thumbsup2

I think the second white dress would look great with a pair of Sanuks with pink straps!!! I'm obsessed with Sanuks now that Katie (DisKate) recommended them to me as well as many other DISers! I bought 2 pair -- one in leopard print & one with light blue straps. They are the Yoga Mat Sanuks & were super comfy from day 1 when I first wore them!!! I'm not sure about International Shipping but you can find them at Journeys, IslandSurf.com, and Zappos.com. I instantly thought of the pink strapped Sanuks when I saw that white dress! It would also look cute with tan colored sandals with a flower on the top or maybe colored straps! I'm obsessed with shoes, can ya tell?! :lmao:

That Disney Store is AMAZING!!!!!! It was sooo beautiful inside, I couldn't believe all the details! Our Disney Store is so boring & looks just like a regular store. They have a neat design on the carpet, but other than that, its just regular aisles & shelves set up in rows. Nothing spectacular at all -- I'd really like to visit the one in NYC one day because I'm sure it looks amazing inside too! I doubt if I'll ever make it overseas, but if I do, I know where I'll stop! ;)

Your Day 4 plans with OhioDisneyLover sound amazing! Shopping, shopping, shopping!!!! It sounds like a fantastic way to start off a trip to WDW! :goodvibes

I always like going to MK my first day/evening at Disney -- however it didn't work out that way the past 2 years, so I'm hoping that we make it there this trip!!! There's just something special about seeing the castle on the first day! :cloud9:

I love your plans for Day 5 as well -- those are great pictures of the opening ceremony! You are really making me anxious for our trip since you posted the pics of the Halloween decor! LTT looks fantastic! I'm not sure what to tell you about CRT but I do agree -- I wouldn't want to go if the windows are boarded up. I can't wait to see the progress of Fantasyland.

Going to catch up on the other updates that I haven't read yet!

Ah so once the ship has left the dock will the shops open then?

They need to be out at sea for the ships to open - I think they opened around 6pm (sailaway was 4.30).
I think they need to be in international waters, as, as far as I can remember, this is tax free shopping.
Shops won't be open while you are in any port either!

Love the first full WDW day, especially since you get to spend it with Sophia and Joe!

Stefy,
First off I love the Starbucks run before the Disney Store, even with the bus running late. You and I are cut from the same stone, I need my Starbucks or I am cranky.

I know how hard it is to wake up that early on your day off but getting to tour the Disney store before it opened WOW!! It is just beautiful and you have some wonderful items to add to your collections. I would not want to be the person whose job it is to take that key home each night:lmao:

Dave looks like he was having a blast too.

Those chocolate treats you bought look to die for, I have noticed there is a sub theme in yout reports chocolate!!

Your plans look great for MK, especially the Cinnamon Buns,:). I ate 3 total this last trip. They are seriously my favorite treat in all of WDW, second is the bread pudding at O'hana.

Your wedding is getting so close, can't wait for more updates!! Have a great week.

Great report on the Disney store opening Stefy, will definitely make a stop there next time I'm over in London!

and enjoyed your POTC4 review also, my favourite aspects of this film was a tie between the legendary Captain Jack but also the love story between the preacher and the mermaid, I just thought the chemistry between thos e two actros was great! I would so like to see a spin off movie all about the mermaids, they definitely were super cool and scary!

Enjoying reading your crusie and day by day plans, lots of MK So far! and that cinammon roll...mmm so have to get one on my next trip down main st in about the year 2050 lol! thats how far away any future trip for me seems!

Great new dresses! the white one might also be nice with silver strappy shoes and silver accessories for a polished evening look?

Stefy, your Day 5 plans sound great. I know how much you enjoyed eating in the Castle on your last trip.

And great job on the writing up of the Disney Store opening (and a girl after my own heart -- STARBUCKS!).

Wow! Love all of the pics! Wish I had a Disney Store closer to me :( The closest one is almost two hours away.....I am really hoping that they bring one to my city soon! Love all of the purchases! I might just have to get my hands on that single :)

Wow, Stefy! How awesome to be able to get a private tour of the store!:thumbsup2 I'm also glad you were able to make some new friends.:goodvibes

Like a lot of us in the U.S., I don't have a Disney Store close to me.:sad2: We just shop online, which isn't as much fun because I like to see things in person. That store looks massive! I love the castle and all of the interactive things it does!

Day 5 plans!:cool1: I don't blame you for being hesitant to dine at CRT if there will be no view. That's why most people go, that and the character interaction, but it's mostly for the ambiance. No view, no ambiance in my opinion.

Hi everyone, sorry I've been AWOL all week, was hectic as usual and work and have also been planning the final stages of my ever changing Hen Night, but I think we got everything down now :)

Wow at Oxford St being so empty. I made the mistake of going there on a weekend of the sales once and I could barely move! :scared1:

Love the new Disney store and the castle - I would love to see Rapunzel wrap her hair round that.

Great MK plans! I love the look of the opening ceremony :)

If we go Oxford St we tend to get there for 10am when everything opens as shoppers don't usually tend to arrive til after 11am. We're usually done and back home by 1pm

Thanx :) Can't wait to see the opening ceremony and sing along

Great day 5 plans!

Thanks

Aww bless him, it is a great show. Did you follow them down Main St after they were finished?

It sucks that they are doing that as its not that bright in there in the first place (least from what I remember).

Wonderful updates Stefy!!! :goodvibes

I found a pair to go with my dress, got some lovely green colour ones.

Will have to check out these shoes and see if we have stores in the UK that stock then.

I am sure your Disney Store will get a makeover before long, they seem to be doing it to all of them from the looks of it

Thanks, we love to start the trip off with a day at MK, get our Disney Magic fix from the main park to get us going.

They need to be out at sea for the ships to open - I think they opened around 6pm (sailaway was 4.30).
I think they need to be in international waters, as, as far as I can remember, this is tax free shopping.

Thanks for that. We are very much looking forward to meeting Sophia and Joe and what better way to bond then over shopping :teeth:

Thanks, can't go out and not start the day with a Starbucks. Did the same thing yesterday morning too.

Yes I am a chocoholic, chocolate is my weakness but I love it.

The wedding is creeping ever closer and we still got bits and pieces to do.

Great report on the Disney store opening Stefy, will definitely make a stop there next time I'm over in London!

Thank. Glad you enjoyed POTC4 was a great movie and I hear they are going to be making a fifth one too!

The Disney Store opening looked like so much fun!

Love your Day 5 plans- sounds like the absolutely perfect MK day!

Thanks. Can't wait to see the opening ceremony, might even film it.

Wow! Love all of the pics! Wish I had a Disney Store closer to me :( The closest one is almost two hours away.....I am really hoping that they bring one to my city soon! Love all of the purchases! I might just have to get my hands on that single :)

Hey everyone, hope you are all still there? :rotfl:

Hey Dave!
We're all hanging in there. We know how tough life in general can get, let alone trying to plan a wedding and a honeymoon!:goodvibes

Thanks for the check in.

Hey Guys

Sorry I've been MIA for the past few weeks, things have been super hectic and we have been doing more wedding stuffs too. But I promise an update very very soon.

These past two weekends we have been to the cinema to see the Hangover II and X-men First Class yesterday. Both films are brilliant! X-men was awesome, I loved the first three but this was one was way better than those, love James McAvoy as the young Charles Xavier, so cocky and cute and James Fassbender as Magneto so hot!

Anywho enough about films, update wise we bought Dave's ring a couple of weeks ago and he is very happy. Should be getting that delivered in a couple of weeks. My ring should hopefully be turning up in the next day or two.

We finally managed to get the seating plan down and have sent it off to our planner to see if it will work in the restaurant. Changing up the seating has meant that we have to change up the centrepieces and am researching at the mo, but have come across a design which we both like and could help keep down the costs as the restaurant has tools we could use to make them up :teeth: All will be revealed in good time :)

Other than that things are pretty ship shape, just need to go and find some cravats and shoes for Dave, oh and order the suits :teeth: But those will be done next month :)

Ooh one other thing that happened that has made my morning, Virgin changed our plane and messed up the whole seating arrangements and for the past few weeks I have been constantly checking to see if the seating plan had been released, as we had requested and got the Bubble when we originally booked our flights. This morning I am pleased to say that the seating plan is up and I got to choose the seats that we originally wanted for both flights (we couldn't get those before), so that's made me a happy bunny this morning :yay:

So how has everyone been? Feel's like forever that I haven't been on the boards.

I've been missing you, girl! Glad to have you back! :goodvibes

How wonderful that you got the seats you wanted on the plane. It's such a relief to know that the arrangements one would like to see are actually working out!

And I am happy to hear that wedding prep is coming along nicely as well. It will be here before you know it!

Let us know how things go .......... greetings and pixie dust from Austria! :wizard:

Hi! Am glad to read that Dave's ring is now bought! :cool1:

Also phew on being able to get your plane seating sorted and not have to worry about it anymore! That must be a relief.

I opted out of the more expensive bling type ring in the end lol, I hate wearing jewellery and spent quite a while trying different ones on until I picked one that I could barely notice being on my finger :lmao:

Very glad the whole seat thing has been resolved as well, I did not want to end up in the downstairs area of the plane only because it is very very crowded. Upstairs there are only 50 people and it's nice and quiet as well :)

Can't believe it;s almost the middle of June either, this year is flying by so quickly :scared1:

I love bling but am sure the ring you picked is perfect for you - after all your the one that will have to wear it every day!! Can't wait to see the pics of both rings.

Am glad you secured upstairs - don't want to be crowded for a long haul flight.

I know I can't believe it either - at this rate Sept will be here before we know it!
