My husband and I finally gave MNSSHP a try this year and we loved it!! As adults without kids and Annual Passholders, we've been unsure if this event would really be worthwhile for us. We got off to a rocky start with it this year too - we originally went this past Sunday and were joined by Hurricane Wilma, which made for a very disappointing experience! Disney took care of us though, and we were able to exchange our tickets and go Friday night for a second try. It's that kind of service that separates Disney from the other parks!

Anyway, onto the important stuff! This party was fantastic!! So many little details and spooky touches made the park transform into a whole new experience for us. Characters were everywhere, the parade was super fun, the fireworks were spectacular, and my husband trick-or-treated like a 10-year old and no one gave him a second look!

It was sold out Friday night, so it was crowded but we still walked on Space Mountain and some other big rides. Fantasyland was definitely the most crowded and we avoided most of the rides there! I would recommend trick-or-treating first and taking in all of the Halloween fun and then going on rides later in the evening.

We would highly recommend this event to kids of all ages! We can't wait to do it again next year!

Disney was also wonderful for me, as I also had tickets to Sunday Oct 23 but did not go because of the heavy rain and wind. I was able to get the tickets refunded and go another night. I did not expect to be able to refund them, but Disney came through! :) :)

I loved MNSSHP - got seven new characters, loved the villain's dance by the castle, the parade and that SONG!!! :) :)

Thanks for the great reviews. I can't wait to go for our first one next year. SInce we will be on a cruise beforehand and have our pirate stuff with us for pirate night I have convinced dh to dress up. It is going to be so much fun. :cheer2:

We went on Sunday, too, but because we flew out Tuesday we couldn't exchange it for another night. However, we had a BLAST and the park was merely empty! =)

I'm so glad you had a good time, too ;)

I'm glad to read that some other DISers from the hurricane halloween party feel that things worked out for them as well!

HugsForEeyore - I LOVE the parade song too!! Boo to you! :wave2:

This is an odd question, but I was at Six Flags Great America where we have season passes and they have something called "Fright Fest". My DS11 won't go but my DD7 likes it, I'm not crazy about it, there are gross scenes, mosters and creepy creatures in costumes scaring people and that doesn't even take into account the haunted houses, scary shows, and modified scary rides. I took my daughter during day hours because it's supposed to be "less scary" then, and even though she likes that stuff, I'm easily scared lol. They have a new pass which includes Great America, Brookfield Zoo, and Shedd Aquarium, but you had to have your picture taken during Fright Fest. I went to guest services to see if my son could have his picture taken with them instead of going into the park. Some woman was in there complaining that the parents bringing kids to Fright Fest were ruining it and some woman had no right to tell the werewolf not to scare her daughter. She said they should do it more like Disney where they make all parents sign releases before the Halloween stuff so that the characters can scare their children and they can't complain.
Um what you guys are explaining doesn't sound "scary", after all isn't it "Mickey's NOT So Scary Halloween"?????

Was there on 10/23 as well in Wilma. Flew out that Monday so we couldn't exchange tickets - but it was fun anyway for a short bit. We took the photo and did some trick or treating. Went on a few rides before we decided that the rain was just a bit too much to keep us there too long...

Will try again next year :)
