two bedroom at OKW

Can someone explain what the two bedroom at OKW consists of. We have been going back and forth in a debate. One side of this discussion says it is the one bedroom plus the stuidio and another says it does not include the stuidio? Also does anyone know of the website for the layout for this?

All the two bedsrooms I have reserved at OKW have been just that..a one bdroom with king and studio with 2 queens. We have had lock-offs and regular ones. Very spacious either way.

The second bedroom setup at OKW is different between the lockoff and dedicated. A lockoff has the kitchenette and separate entrance door in the second bedroom (studio part). A dedicated 2 bedroom has an extra bathroom sink where the kitchenette would be and another closet where the studio entrance would be in the 2nd bedroom. The rest is the same.

Does a person need to request a lockoff or a dedicated when making reservations?

Actually the room is reserved as either lockoff or dedicated. You can ask which is available when you reserve. People with small kids usually like the dedicated so there is not an outside exit in their room.

The dedicated 2 bedroom also does not have a balcony off of the bedroom.

You can see floor plans on the DVC site. They do not show a floor plan for the lock-off -- but it's just combining the studio and 1 bedroom floor plans.

From what I have been told by Member Services, if you call to reserve a two bedroom unit you will be reserving a dedicated 2 bedroom unless you specifically request a lock-off or there are no dedicated units left. They told me the reason for this is it is easier for them to leave the lockoff for people who want studios or 1 bedrooms since they can mix and match those.

The other thing I was told, at least at OKW, is that there are NO handicap accessible decidated 2 bedroom units. Something to consider if that is an issue one way or the other.

We had a dedicated 2-bedroom at OKW last July.

At first my spouse did not want to stay at OKW. She ended up loving it. The size of these villas is awesome.

We'll definately stay there again.

Yes, the dedicated will be given to you unless you request lock off. The 2nd bedroom is the same layout in both with a couple of minor exceptions. The lock off will have the kitchenette in the closet area just outside the bathroom. The dedicated will just have an extra bathroom sink in this spot. The obvious difference is the lack of an outside door in the dedicated. Instead, there will be a large walk in closet in that area! There will be no small deck off the dedicated second bedroom, but the master always has access to the big deck as does the living room.
