I'm beginning to realize I suck at trip reports. Oh well, I already started so I might as well finish...
Day Three - Of course we slept in again. Hey, I was on vacation right? Then we made our way to MGM. Now, I knew that there wasn't going to be a lot at MGM that we liked. We are not into shows and if I wanted to take a back-lot tour, I would go to Universal Studios Hollywood. Besides, sitting in a tram, in the heat didn't really tickle our fancy. I get motion sickness so Star Tours was out (besides it was a Star Wars weekend and it was PACKED over there). So we did what most people do when they go to MGM, we went straight for RnR and got a FP. Since the TOT line wasn't too long, we decided to ride so we could compare it to the one in CA. We both thought it was neat the way your car(?) moves up and then forward, at CA it just moves back and then up. After TOT, we noticed the line for RnR was pretty short so we hopped in that line. Then right before went into the room to watch the movie, the ride broke down. (I think it was down for about 10-15 minutes.) Now, I have to say, we are not huge Aerosmith fans but we can appreciate their older stuff. We had to watch that lame movie (My highlight of it was seeing Ileana Douglas as their manager, I just love her!) and then it was finally time for the ride. It was the first time my DH had been on a ride that upside more than once, so I was pretty nervous for him. (His first was California Screamin') Talk about kicking ****! We both loved the ride! DH loved it so much that he still wanted to use our FP to go later. Fine with me! While we waited for out Fast Pass time, we went on The Great Movie Ride. Luckily neither of us expected much because it was boring! Although I was in heaven being in Munchkin Land, Wizard of Oz is my all time favorite movie. I could have stayed in there forever. After the boring (aside from Wizard of Oz) movie ride, we finally went to RNR to use our FP.
Since there was nothing else we wanted to see at MGM, we went back to CBR and took a nap. After the nap, we went to Epcot and hopped on the monorail to go have dinner at Ohana's. Since I wanted to check out the grounds, we decided to walk from the ticket center thingy to the Poly.
We were over an hour early for our PS so we decided to have some fun at the bar.
We got tired of making fools of ourselves at the bar and we finally went to the hostess stand and told them we were there. Of course when we didn't want to wait to watch Wishes, we got a much coveted window seat.
And you can't tell DH didn't like the food when you see this pic:
It started raining while we were eating but we decided to brave the MK anyways. We went on Space Mountain and (unfortunately) Stitch. I miss AE so much! Stitch was a lousy replacement and thank goodness the wait time was zero. Not too long after we exited Stitch, it started to pour! I'm not talking a light drizzle, it was full on rain. We figured that was our clue to leave so we got the fudge out.
Day Four - It was Animal Kingdom Day. DH and I both thought there would be less to do at this park than at MGM but we had to check it out. I can't believe how much we both liked it there. As soon we got in, we headed to Dinosaur. Lame! It was a sorry excuse for Indiana Jones if you ask us. After that we walked through Dinoland
over to Kali River Rapids. Again, it was another ride that let us down. It was so short! But even with the sucky rides, we both liked it! I think I took more pictures there than anywhere else.
At first neither of wanted to ride the Safari but we changed our minds and got a FP. While we waited for our ride time, we got in line for "It's Tough to be a Bug." We didn't want to see that show either (we have it at CA) but I wanted to get up-close to the tree and in line was the perfect place for that.
Ohmigosh, they really pack you in like sardines while you are waiting to enter the theater. I never realized how claustrophobic I was until I was waiting to see the show. I could feel other people breathing on me. It was pretty nasty!
We were so tired after seeing the show; we decided to leave for our afternoon nap time. We found another couple and gave them our fastpasses for the safari, looked around the shops and went back to CBR.
We ended up waking up late from our nap and we arrived 10 minutes before our PS at Alfredo's. We had dinner, window shopped a little, drank and then it was mini golf time!
I had been bugging DH that I wanted to go mini golfing for the longest time and he finally gave in! We took a taxi from Epcot over to Fantasia Gardens and DH proceeded to kick my butt. I did get one hole-in-one though! Then we walked over to the Dolphin and took a shuttle from there to CBR.
Stay tuned for the riveting conclusion to....Two Adults Do Disney!
