Well we are two 70 year old kids.. We are leaving on Weds. Jan 21st. for Disney and staying at Pop Century Hotel...We took the dining plan, and booked two dinner shows. Have no idea what to expect and hope that we are going to enjoy our selves...We have 7day park tickets and we also hope that we can take every thing in in this short time...We will only be there from Weds. to Weds... Does anyone think that we should try and do one of the parks on the first day..They say that our Hotel Rooms won't be ready for us until after 3PM.... Our flight lands around 10 am and we figure that we should be at Pop Century around noon...So which park would be the best park for us to do?? We also have made reservations for a Fri night dinner show and a Sun night at another dinner show...So that takes care of our two evenings...Plan on going to Animal Kingdom on Thurs. only to hook up with a family member that lives in Florida and his family. So that takes care of another day.. We just want to enjoy the parks and have a good time and to get out of this darn cold weather...We are from New England. And anyone that lives here know what we are talking about....So please forgive me for talking so darn much and if you all can help us out with any information, such as shopping, eating and just relaxing let us know... :hourglass

Only a few more Days before we leave..........Yahoo!!!!:cheer2:

Absolutely, go enjoy a park on the first day. Since you're landing around noon, I would go to Epcot so you can go have lunch. Epcot has the best food by far. I always like to walk around the World Showcase on my first day at a nice leisurely pace. :thumbsup2

I think that it would be the best thing to do.. It's been so many years since we have been to Disney... We may just do that...Thanks. Also seeing that we won't be able to get to our room until late afternoon.. They did say that we could leave our luggage in a storage area until we return to the hotel. I know that we sure will be hungry as the airlines don't give you anything to eat anymore. We will eat at Epcot. Thanks you so much......MrsMugs

Yes, I am strongly biased in favor of visiting the Animal Kingdom. It's always the first and last park I visit at the World. The Animal Kingdom is my favorite Disney park on Earth. It is never the same place twice.

I'm arriving about 24 hours after you, so I understand the excitement. Absolutely head to a park the first day. I'm not sure why but the last several trips I've ended up planning HS my first "half" day. This trip the decision was at least partially based on Fantasmic being dropped to twice a week. I love Fantasmic, so I've arranged my park days to hopefully see it twice.

FYI. Pop Century has some great comfort food too. Mac & Cheese, chicken noodle soup and chines food...yummy. Be sure to grab some comfort food too.
