Twin size air mattress in an SSR studio?

Has anybody ever used a twin size air mattress in an SSR studio (I'm thinking it may fit in the entrance hallway)?! Just trying to confirm if it would even fit or not?!

We already have a std. view studio booked at SSR for 6 nights January 3rd-9th next year. It's normally only the 3 of us so studios work fine but there's an outside chance that our DS may bring a friend and by 7 months for that week I'm not hopeful that we could book another room that would have a 3rd sleep option (I don't anticipate two 20 yr olds wanting to share a sleep sofa.) Also, not sure when we might know if this friend would be able to join us or not - it may be last minute. Anyway, we can't book anything else until June and the availability for that week is already slipping. (For example our SSR std. view studio already has one night missing that week bcuz of the marathon!!) At 7 months I might be interested in booking 5 nights in an OKW or AKV (std) 1-bedroom that have the sleep chair. (The Poly and BLT already only have partial availability too so are not options.) We don't have enough points left to book book a 1-bedroom at SSR in addition to the studio just to hold it for now for the additional space....we're 4 points shy of having enough for SSR for our next UY - but I DO have enough for OKW....IF the availability holds until June - which I'm not holding my breath for.

So I'm just wondering if anyone has squeezed an air mattress into a studio?? I'm fully aware it's not the IDEAL situation but we may not have much choice in it... I don't need any lectures on how you would never book a studio for 4 people - we simply don't have another option points wise at this time for a "maybe" 4th person without borrowing into our NEXT UY. I don't want to give up the studio in case this kid doesn't come bcuz we won't get it back.

Not an air mattress, but my son did put the couch cushions on the floor in the entrance way when my aunt came to join us for one night and used the sleeper. Not an ideal location, but there was plenty of room.

Thanks - I'm thinking in my mind that the studio entry area should have enough space for twin mattress. Obviously it's not an ideal spot but I've read of people putting pack & plays in bathrooms (ewww, also not ideal).

Cute. Is it heavy? Have you flown with it in a checked bag? Would it fit a 6' tall person? We already have an air mattress & pump. Kinda hate to buy something else....

Not heavy at all. We take it as carry on in our small bag. It's meant for camping. Will fit a six ft person, up to 375 lb. it weighs about two pounds.

I am not sure of the size of the sleeper sofa at SSR, but what we have done in the past if our DS and DD are with us and need to share one: is to not open the sleeper and have one of them sleep on the sofa, and the other on a mattress that's on the floor. If you don't open the bed, you have more room for a inflatable.

This would be my suggestion. The sofas are pretty long, so put the shorter person it and the longer person on an inflatable.

I'm talking about two 6' tall 20-year old boys. My son laid down for all of a minute on one of those pull down beds at the Poly and he was literally end to end on that thing (with no room for a pillow) so I doubt those couch cushions are long enough.... It could be a long 6 nights if neither of them fit the sofa or the cushions in the floor...

I hear ya... I have a 20 year old over 6 ft as well. What about bringing 2 twin inflatables, and leave the sofa for sitting?

We'll see when the time comes. I'm not even sure if said friend will be able to afford to come with us or not. I can only foot the bill for so much extra costs for him...he would have to be able to pay SOMETHING......like his park tix which we all know are not cheap (we have APs).

Your choices seem to be 1. Don't invite the friend. 2. Both guys figure out how to sleep on the fold out couch. 3. Buy XL air mattress(es), which run about $100 each or buy XL camping cot(s), which start at about $50 on Walmart's website. If the couch is unfolded to a bed, there would be enough room at night in the hallway for an additional cot or mattress. If the couch is not unfolded, you should have enough room for each at night in the studio.

How big is your daughter. I was looking at that for my son for our stay in a one bedroom at BCV. The measurements say it's more than a foot narrower than a twin air mattress so I don't know if it would work.

She's a young woman. Five foot three. About one hundred pounds. It cradles though whereas I hate the bouncing around an air mattress does to its occupant.

Sleeper sofa in studios is double sized. In one bedrooms, queen sized.

Are you sure the Son's friend is on board with sleeping with three other adults in the same small studio space? Best to make sure he is alright with sub-optimal privacy conditions or you may be in for a long trip.

It's just too far away to know if this friend can join us or not & I'm not sure about plopping a non-family member in the same studio with us so just to hedge bets on the 1 bedroom availability at 7 months for OKW and AKV Kidani std. I just went ahead and booked a 2nd std. studio at SSR. I had enough points in our 2018 UY to do that without borrowing - I just didn't have enough to book a 1-bedroom. HOWEVER 1 night (1/5) was already not available so I had to set up a waitlist for it. Since this is marathon time I don't know what the odds are the waitlist will come thru but will cross fingers since it's only 1 night. I figured the boys will be 20 so no reason they couldn't have their own studio if we can't get a 1-bedroom that sleeps 5 but I didn't want to split us up in different resort sections with 1 studio in the std. category & 1 in preferred. (Plus I didn't want to spend the points for preferred.) Hopefully we would have better odds being able to get 2 studios both in Paddock or both in Grandstand if we put in a location request for same section. I'm hoping to get an answer about the friend by the time 7 months rolls around but there are so few people out there who want to commit to plans that far out...esp college kids.
