~TWILIGHTAHOLICS PART 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~*~Volturi...you can GOOGLE it!!!~

So I finally took some time to listen to the NM soundtrack and I like it. Its not the type of music I normally listen to, but I think its a good mix and some of the songs evoke moments in the story. Has anyone read The Road by Cormac McCarthy? The song No Sound but the Wind, really reminds me of the book, its a pretty song and I like the guy's voice. Other favorites are: White Demon Love Song, Meet Me on the Equinox, Monsters, and the instrumental number.

i'm really liking 'possibility' it's got a haunted quality to it. when i listen to the soundtrack i try to figure out where each song belongs in the story.

any guesses?:confused3

i do not like the thom yorke song. i just skip right over it. i also like the Muse song, but the original version with the french parts i like better.

"Possiblility" just sounded so ethereal to me. I kept picturing it during the scene when Bella's in the water and hallucinating Edward.

that's exactly what i thought too! "tell me when you hear my heart stop". i see her in the water with the Edward 'ghost'

My favorite song is Violet Hour. I love the rythm and I just LOVE it!!!! I also really really like No Sound But the Wind, it kinda reminds me of The Smiths.

EB,

Like I said, I know we don't all agree, no problem but to say he (Taylor) deserves it because he worked hard is fairly naive. Lots and lots of people work very hard and it's not always fair what happens in the end. It's Hollywood after all.

To imply they didn't have "forsight" when they cast the part is strange to me too because I would have totally thought that it was a given that the part of Jacob would have to be played by two different characters. I don't think they ever intended on using the same guy no matter WHO they would have cast in Twilight. You can't really get a guy to grow and change to the level that he was described in the book unless you use CGI (silly in this case) or a different person. Just like when they have to film a 10 yr old, a 15 yr old and a 25 yr old character in one movie. You have to use different people. Ya don't just keep the 15 yr old around as the 25 yr old because they work hard. If it's cental to the plot to change actors then that's what you do. It's normal.

True she didn't fall for him because of his looks but being 6'5 is not about looks. Finding somebody at least TALL would not have been as hard as you make it sound, IMHO, and would have fit better with the overall nature of the character. There was a reason he started out small and grew huge. It's central to the character's development.

I hope he works for me as Jacob in this movie... just because I want it to work so I enjoy this movie! Purley a selfish cause! He's a huge part of it and that is why I'm troubled about it. Just thinking out loud. He was cute as Shark Boy.. I know he has it in him to be good so I'll just have to wait and see!

I know the world isn't fair, and I don't think it's naive at all. I mean, the poor guy busted his butt and did everything possible to make himself right for the role. In most jobs, that kind of performance is rewarded through a variety of means including retention and promotion. I never thought about them using two different actors from the get go. I guess from the way I viewed things, the fans and producers would understand that not everything will translate exactly to the screen, but they are making a pretty good approximation.

For continuity's sake, it behooves them to use the same people as much as possible. Regardless of the franchise, fans do not accept change easily. That is why the Harry Potter actors are the same, even though they are getting a bit old for the parts. The studio had to take a gamble that they would be available for such a long period of time and would continue to grow into their characters.

The New Moon companion is interesting because continuity is one thing they talked about. They had to stay true to what had been done before, while still making it true to the director's vision and the book.

Did anybody see the new clip of the way Bella finds out about the wolf pack on IMDB? It doesn't happen the same way in the book, so I've got mixed feelings, but it still looks really good!

I just went over and watched it and don't like the way that scene plays out at all. Still goes along with why I don't understand why screenwriters sometimes feel the need to change scenes like that. Stephenie wrote the books sort of like a movie to begin with, everything layed out perfectly, so I guess I just don't understand why things "need" to be changed for the movie?? :confused3 It just seems to muddle the characters more and make things worse.

Well...when Bella confronts Paul and Sam in the movie she has already found out about the wolves on her own. Jacob is in her room trying to get her to remember just like the book, there are lots of stills of that scene.

Wait a minute, hold the phone....Jacob is shark boy?!?! Are you kidding me? I saw that with my daughters like 2 years ago on DVD. Oh man, I really wish I didn't know that because all I'm going to think is that he's sharkboy looking for lava girl!

I'm going out on a limb here and going to say that I think Taylor will do a good job. I see definite chemistry between him and Kristen. That's a huge part of New Moon IMO. It has to be believable on-screen or else Eclipse won't make any sense. I've seen many of the New Moon trailers already and he looks as if he's believable. So, I'm holding out hope for Jacob! :thumbsup2

Hi to all:

So....I'm learning to Twitter. If you would like me to follow you OR if you have any cool and fun famous people I should follow....could you please PM me your/their username? I probably won't tweet much personally unless I ever get a mobile phone that does that... I'm more of a facebook'er. I like to book my face time.

So far I think I am following Peter Facinelli but that's just a guess. I chose the one with 1 million followers :confused3

I'm espciallly trying to keep up with the Twilight stuff~
Thanks!

I can't find the New Moon clip on IMDB does anyone have a link?
I also think Taylor did a great job. I would not have been impressed if they had switched the actors because I hate when that is done in movies. Taylor really beefed up for the movie which I think is more then enough because it shows a huge difference.
I am excited I just bought the Twilight Scene It board game today!!

I agree that it is annoying to change actors especially with a series like Twilight, and that the switching of the person who played Victoria is obnoxious. But I do think that in Jacob's case a switch could have been made, because a transformation from little Jacob, to BIG WOLF MAN Jacob, is made. But no use crying over spilt milk, obviously Shark Boy won over the casting director, not once but twice. To be honest I despise Jacob Black's character so he really couldn't ruin his image for me than already has been done.

NEW TRAILER!!!

Edward and Jake tussle. :cloud9:

I must say that I love Edward and Jacob by the end, but I wish Edward would have put Jacob in is place, just once. Of course, it could be that the thought of Edward being all physical would make me all giddy and giggly.

As for the cups, I got them from ebay. You can get all four for about $15 with shipping and that is just $3.75 a cup, way less than theater prices.
