My Target and Walmart have the sorriest matchbox section. The ToyRUs was even worse. I'm jealous of your well stocked Targets!

I have a small frog that came with my first car, I bought it from an old cuban man who was very superstitious, and the old man I bought it from told me it was a good luck frog. It's followed me into my new car and I have it in the same spot you have tiny Volvo Edward. I think the frog and the volvo will have to learn to be friends.

when i was a kid my best friend's parents had a picture of st. christopher in their car. i was told he was the patron saint of travel and kept them safe.

i think of my tiny volvo edward as a sort of st. christopher...my volvo lives in the same spot as well

Ok, so update on my search for the matchbox C30 (aka Edward's movie car)... NOTHING! I found a gold colored one at Target but that was it! I'm going to have to resort to ebay pretty soon.

I can't find it either! Everytime I go to Toys R Us I look for it and they only have it in gold and red.

Ours is the same way! I went to get a friend's little boy a birthday gift and couldn't find anything he would have been interested in. It was sad. I haven't checked ours for any Volvos...but I have a 3 hour gap between shifts at work tomorrow..hmm.. I'll let ya know how stocked ours is!

You can paint Matchbox Cars ya know... I only know this because my brother used to when we were younger to make them "look cooler" I wonder if we could do that to the newer ones. Are they still metal or are they plastic now? Hmm..I might have to look into that too if I can't find a silver one!

I think the cars are still die cast so they should be metal. My DFi was telling me to buy the gold one I found and he would paint it but I literally became a 5 year old and pouted that I wanted a "real" one, lol. He opened his mouth to argue and then stopped. Yeah, 5 year old for real.
