Hello all! This is my first post to this thread and it looks like I've come to the right place!

I feel so silly (but not silly enough to admit) but I am SOOOO hooked on everything Twilight right now!!

I started reading the first book December 9th on the plane ride home from Disney and proceeded to read them all in about 2 weeks. I've seen the movie 6 times, ordered a t-shirt, bought the soundtrack, bought a poster, just ordered the Twilight Score CD and the yet to be released Twilight Saga guide. Edward (Rob Pattinson) is my cell phone wallpaper (with several photos to choose from so I can change it daily), I watch the trailer at least once a day, I read the partial version of Midnight Sun online (loved it!!).

I loved the books and the movie equally! I think it helped that I basically did both at the same time. I had already seen previews of the movie when I started the book so I went into the books with the movie actors already in my head as the characters and I think that helped by not already having a different Edward in my head! I just LOVE him so!!! I really like all the actors in the parts they have...again, I think because I went into the book with those actors already in my head! I like them more each time I see the movie too! Jasper was probably my least favorite the first time but I just love him now!

I'm lucky that the movie is still playing near me and I just checked tomorrow's showtimes because I thought for sure it would be gone but (thank goodness) it will still be there all next week again! My tshirt should be here tomorrow and I want to wear it to the show! Oh yeah, 2 of the times I've seen it have been by myself. That was the first time I ever went to the movies by myself! Loved it!!

So, I'll be staying tuned here for a long while and counting down to the DVD release and to the theater release of New Moon!

And as one of the t-shirts says: Yes, I'm a Twilight Mom! (What? Edward is older than I am!) BTW, I'm 43!!:rotfl2:

party: :welcome: :jumping1: :welcome:

To you and all our recent thread newbies to the Blue Banana Gang!!!! We are a happy bunch of Edward (and co..) smitten fools!! You have come to the right place!!

I so need to find a Twilight mom shirt! My DD16 laughed at me for reading a vampire book... 'til she picked it up!!! :lmao:

Oh my.. I was just looking back for the first post that brought the birth of the blue banana and I can't find it. I think the earliest reference is page #80. Hmmm...

We need to preserve our history!!!!!!

Can we agree that whoever starts the NEXT thread...which we aren't all that far away from anymore (250)... that we have an index on the first page where we bookmark some of the most fun moments? I am totally willing to do this if someone will let me be the thread starter.

I just hate having to go back page vs page for those "key moments". I also would love post #2 to be.. "top quotes!!" Oh yeah, we are so going to get in trouble!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I can't keep up with this thread! Wow.

Mel, I can't believe the stuff you find. :lmao:

I saw the movie 4 times. The second two were by myself, and I didn't tell anybody, because my DH was looking nervous enough that I saw it twice ("but we've never seen a movie in the theatre twice! Except maybe Lord of the Rings!").

The blue banana? Well... we were joking about Breaking Dawn... making comments about our banana icon... somebody (probably travelmel) said, well, since it's Edward and his skin is so cold, shouldn't it be blue? and came up with the icon... somebody else commented that they'd been to the parks and had a frozen banana and couldn't help thinking of Edward... :rolleyes1 And thus the jokes began, and the Blue Banana Gang was born. Buncha dirty girls, we are.

My favorite is a quote from Cleolinda, who has a love/hate thing with Twilight and does commentary and recaps on it (terrible language, but I was laughing so hard I was crying). She was recapping "Isle Esme" in Breaking Dawn. "So many things have—probably for the best—been left unaddressed here. I mean, was it like f****** a popsicle? These are the questions I find myself asking." (http://cleolinda.livejournal.com/630150.html)

My name if Jenfur and I am a Twilightaholic....

My daughter read the first book a while back but I didn't pick it up until last week. I took her and friend to see the movie, and then I HAD to read them. Of course, being a mature woman of 32, I couldn't just come out and tell my husband I wanted them. I decided to tell him that my DD wanted the set for Christmas. So he got them...and I waited. Of course what happens, but she decides she wants to reread the first one before moving on....so I waited some more. Now, she has 200 more pages of Breaking Dawn and I actually stole it from her bedroom while she was still sleeping this morning and got to pg 187. And I am yet again...waiting. I am hooked, I has to rush down to Walmart and get the little silver volvo and everything. I have been lurking on this thread since the movie, but the spoilers, even in white were too tempting so I stayed away. I figure its safe now since I'll probably be done by tommorrow.

I am so glad I am not the only non-teen who suffers from this particular obsession. So where is this facebook page that sends around Cullens, I want one....I also take one of those blue bananas!!!

I called Carlisle, he says the burning and itching will go away eventually. Just gotta keep applying that sparkle cream 4 times daily.
:scared1: :rotfl2:
It is free here!! But only if you go to your Mom's and drink it.....:rolleyes1
:rotfl: Agreed! Except I don't drink milk. :rolleyes1
<-------still dreading JANE!
She freaks me out! My little sister is a mix between a Victoria and a Jane. She has bright red hair, and has this American Girl white-oldfashioned-as-seen-in-horror-movies-nightgown, and she'll *glower* at me and hiss! Creepiest thing ever! Good thing I'm a Bella and can block it all out! :)
OME lookie that... my blue bananas have been found... :thumbsup2
:scared1: :rotfl:
Well THERE'S a relief!

No it can't be...another Twilight thread?? I thought we were the only nuts out there

Hurry travelmel we have cookies on the FB!! You are just too funny. I can't wait to see what you come up with on the FB.
::yes:: The TB one is pretty pitiful though

In the theatre, 4 times. :rolleyes1
At least. :) I have it on my computer, and iPod, so I watch bits and pieces all day long though, so total probably about 50.
I know the entire script by heart :rolleyes1

You're probably safer if you stay over there. This thread is going down like the Titanic! :rotfl:
16.gif
::yes:: !
..but..but...we're all women and women got to get in the life boats first right? So we'll be ok right? Oh Edward hold me!!
OR, we could be like Carlisle and swim the English Channel! :thumbsup2

Nice Pouf! But do I really need to spend $14.99 for white body skimmer when I can just get Edward to bite me?
That's my thought!

Well then you and I are both a couple of pitiful bananas. I've only been able to see it once. I am the only girl in my family and it can be hard for me to get away from the boys to see a movie that they consider "girly". This weekend however is my birthday and I have already told my DH that if he wants any shread of hope to get to play World of Warcraft at all that I will get to take my sister in law to see Twilight on Sunday. You should have seen the shocked look on his face. We have this rule in our house that the birthday person dictates the entire weekend close to their birthday, so he knew there was no getting out of it.
My birthday is this Wednsday. Happy early birthday! Twilight sounds good except it's not in theatres anymore, here! :guilty:

Welcome to the blue banana coven. :lmao: Do you have a facebook account already? If so, pm me your name or email address and i will add you as a friend and send you an invite to the Blue Banana Gang (BBG).

(This goes for anyone else interested.) A word of warning, it might get a little "colorful" over there. We've been overstepping out here and have decided to move our crude sense of humor to FB. :rolleyes1

I just went back and re-read her thread and found my self busting up laughing all over again... good thing I am alone in my office today...

:lmao: :lmao:

Hi I'm Shellie, I also a Twilightaholic:woohoo: My husband believes I'm crazy, little does he know I am so much more addicted than he thinks. I truly only went to the movie because I promised my DS12 I would go for his birthday. I immediately came home to read the book. I read all four books in four days and also Midnight Sun (after I discovered it). Now I own the soundtrack and t-shirt (I Run With Vampires). I also stole Breaking Dawn from DS to re-read it for a second time as I had already re-read the others. I have been lurking on this thread since it started everyday at work. :) I'm so glad I not the only "mature" crazy person out there. :rotfl:

:surfweb:

Hey,

I just made my Facebook profile. What else do I need to do to join up with you guys? Sorry to ask, but I don't have the energy to scroll back about 30 pages!

I still need to get the blue banana on my signature, but I do want to find one that sparkles. 'cause I think that would be pretty!

OK, I think I figured the Facebook thing out and I requested to join.

So if you get a request from Lisa F---. That's me!
