Hey, I tried to make it as less spoilery as I could, lol. But most of it is book stuff.

I'm really excited to see the movie. In about four hours I will be with a bunch of high schoolers watching it. I am hopefull it won't be the screaming nonesense that usually happens at HP premieres. I agree with the consensus that Kristin doesn't seem to be embracing the publicity. My hope is she is just nervous and will grow out of it. Of course if she really does hate it she can get out of her contract for the next few films...

Anyway, I'm glad I found this thread (and I read all 200+ pages of it!) so I can talk about my new obsession!

Things around here are getting sorta heated with the movie coming out! Hope you have a good time looking around though. There's also another fun site called "twilightmoms.com" but they don't answer posts quite as quickly as we do here (in my experience so far).

I just have to say I am not impressed with the few interviews I have seen with Kristen. I was one of the first ones that voiced my opinion here that I wasnt too thrilled with her being cast at all and her behavior just reinforces my original feelings. Oh well, they didnt ask my opinion, now did they?

I read most of this. I stopped at the last paragraph where you start to describe memorable scenes. Its a great review and makes me want to see the movie even more. I stopped reading because I'm sooo spoiled for this movie I almost don't need to go see it. Thanks for sharing your review with us.

I didn't think Kristen was too bad. And I think she definitely said "to your face." I'm sure she gets a TON of crazies who hate her b/c she gets to kiss Rob or they she makes an awful Bella. Blah. I like her and I thought she looked super cute in her outfit--although the jacket probably was a little small (looked like it was for a 4th grader, lol).

I think she knows that and she feels overwhelmed, I don't really think anyone wants to be envied by millions of girls that say means things about you all the time. Plus, people keep making comments about her and Robert that make her really uncomfortable. Robert doesn't mind, he's single, he has a crush on her and he has said that he likes to embarass her, which he does at every ocassion. But Kristen has a boyfriend of four years and I can only tell how embarassing it must be when people keep asking you if there's something going on with your co-star. Not to mention that her bf was probably at many of these interviews. I don't know about everyone else, but I would be mortified.
As much as I liker her and Rob as a couple, I can't help but feel horribly bad for her BF.

I can't belive people are being so mean to Kristen, I understand if you don't like her and her portrayal but that's not need to go bashing on her. I don't think anyone here knows her personally or has been in someway hurt by her. And the skinny comments are really not necessary, as a skinny person myself not all of us are our starving ourselves as everyone seems to think.

Yes, but I'm not bashing on her. There's a fine line between saying something about a person and being downright mean, I think people can express their opinions about someone without being so mean.

Okay, please don't kill me! I just wanted to preface with that.

Don't get me wrong, there were some endearing parts to the movie, but for the most part I couldn't stop laughing (and not because the jokes were good). I should also say the last book made me put all the other books in perspective, as I did not like it-- and it pulled me out of my Twilight obsession.

Rob cannot pull off brooding at all. I think he's an okay actor, but he looked like he was going to cry too much for my liking. The scene where he is sucking out the venom might possibly be the funniest part of the entire movie. The scenes with Bella and Edward, especially the bedroom one, creeped me out so much.

I thought Kristen did well as Bella, and I guess by better I mean she acted better than Rob. But I've always liked her so I'm a little biased. I finally understood what people were talking about when they said she came off as crazy (in the books). I found myself saying, "WHAT?!" when they were talking about him being a vampire, and she was like, "I don't care. I just want to be with you." I was all, "Run, Bella! Run!" (in my head).

I don't know. I expected cheese on top of cheese, and that's what I got. I'll probably buy it when it comes out and secretly watch it in my room. I do think the movie was much better from the baseball scene on, and I did enjoy it. It was entertaining.

Just got back from the midnight showing of Twilight. I have to totally agree with Caribbeanprincess' review. I am totally dazzled by Edward Cullen! What I found so funny is DH went with me to the midnight showing with absolute no interest in the movie what so ever, he actually admitted to me that he thought that it was going to suck. He said that he really enjoyed it, and DH is a major critic so coming from him that is a major compliment. While I think that there were parts that could have been done better, the were parts that were more perfect than I imagined. Just my humble opinion.
