Hey, I thought it would be fun to try to guess or make a wish list for the songs that will be on the Twilight soundtrack.

My wish list would be:
1) Possession(the piano version) by Sarah Mclachlan
2) Any song by Linkin Park from the CD Edward and Bella both had in common.(I read that from twilightmoms interview with the author)
3) Here with me by Dido

That's all I can think of now.

"Bring Me To Life" by Evanesence

Hi guys. This is Issabbella, I'm responding under my mother's name. I LOVE this series, <3

1) Posess (sp?) Your Heart -- Deahtcab For Cutie
2) Earthquake -- The Used
3) Find A Way -- The Used
4) With me Today -- The Used
(The Used have some GREAT lovesongs. ^_^)
5) Heaven Help Us -- My Chemical Romance
6) I'm Not Okay I Promise -- My Chemical Romance
7) To The End -- My Chemical Romance

(As you can tell, I'm HUGE into alternative music.)

This is awesome by the way. What a great idea!!

I tried so hard to get tickets with no luck! You are so lucky!!

I was on ticketmaster at 11:58pm and kept trying until I got 'em!

The band playing at the concert is called Blue October and apparently they inspired music to go along with the books or something along those lines. I DL-ed their stuff but have yet to really listen. Anyone know and like them?

YES! I am a HUGE Blue October fan..they are a texas alternative/rock band...really really amazing...been a fan for years...If I'm not mistaken, it's just Justin the lead singer and songwriter who will be there...I'm so jealous!!!

I first saw this thread way, way back when it was brand new. Didn't think too much about it because I teach first grade and I don't have a lot of extra time for leisurely reading during the school year. Well, summer vacation is here and I saw the thread again and thought, "Why not?" I bought Twilight and started reading on Friday. I finished sometime very early on Saturday. Bought New Moon on Saturday and started it right away. Finished it very early Sunday morning. Tried to be very patient about reading Eclipse as I have been neglecting my motherly and wifely duties BIG TIME! Well, I held off until 8:00pm on Sunday. I made some excuse about going to the store to pick up a few groceries so I could get Eclipse.:rotfl2: Started reading at 9:30 last night and finished around 6:15 this morning. OMG...Can you say obsessed? So here is my plan...I'm going to talk one of my teacher friends into reading the books so that I have someone to go to the Midnight Release for Breaking Dawn with me. I don't want to be the oldest one there all by myself!:thumbsup2 By the way, I'm totally lovin' Edward. I hope my hubby doesn't mind!:rolleyes1

I was on at the same time and tried for 30 mins. I was so mad!!
My DH knew the band Blue October and even had some of their songs on his Itunes. I heard a few of them and liked them. I read on another forum that a lot of Blue October fans bought the tickets in NY just to see them and are planning to leave after he performs.(only the lead singer will be there) They had no idea who Stephenie Meyer is! That ticked me off a little cause I would do anything to go and see Stephenie.

I'm so glad others have posted their song wish list for the movie! You guys have picked some great songs! I love alternative music too and so does Stephenie(from what I've read about her) Keep posting!!

That is how I was, I couldn't stop reading them, fell hard for Edward and hope my DH doesn't mind!;)

Well the tickets have made it to Ebay. 2 for NYC are up to $265 with 6 days left! I tried other places for tickets and found one and they want $218 per ticket!!:scared1:

Anyone have trouble logging onto twilightmoms when first joining up? I know I have to register and send an email, which I did, 2 days ago. It still won't let me log in.:confused3 I am dying to start posting there(been lurking) and I want to post to try and find some tickets for the NYC event.

YAYYY!
I know what you mean...while reading these 3 books, my house was SHOT and my kids ate cold cereal and pop tarts and Hot pockets! LOL!

I'm dying for Breaking Dawn!!!!

To go along with the music suggestions...Stephenie has a playlist for each one of her books on her website. Lots of really great music.

I'm hoping that Muse will jump on and contribute some music for the movie. Stephenie seems to like them quite a bit as well.

Oops, sorry Kimmie...we must have been typing at the same time! You know what they say about 2 witnesses! Go check out Stephenie's playlists!!

WOW! Thats nutso! the tickets only cost $20 !!! jeez!

One of my students lent me "The Host" last night. I started reading it, but I just can't seem to get "into" it. Part of the problem is that the first few chapters start off with her writing as if we already know all of the backstory. I may give it another shot. Twilight reeled me in from the start.

Well, nothing like being last to a party... LOL  But I have an excuse -- I'm usually stuck reading nothing but textbooks! I took the summer off, and thanks to this thread finally decided to read "Twilight." Can I just say, as a *cough*slightly-older-than-a-teenager*cough*, OMG?!?

I picked "Twilight" up at the library Saturday afternoon. DS was going to spend a few nights with my folks, and I wanted a book to distract me from missing him. I finished that by Sunday, and spent the rest of that evening just sitting around kind of stunned, so affected by the book. Got an email from the library yesterday that "New Moon" was available for me to pick up :hyper: and I practically raced there after work. Started reading it at stop lights on the way home -- I just couldn't wait. Finished it last night, and couldn't fall asleep for hours after that. Now I keep checking my email every 2 minutes, hoping that "Eclipse" has been turned back in!

Now, thanks to you guys, I found the TwilightMoms site, and I don't feel like such a weirdo for loving these books and characters so much! And there's a MOVIE coming out?? Holy cannoli.... :cloud9:

The tickets to the breaking dawn event are out of control! They are seling for $400+ each and on Ebay, the auctions are over $300 with 6 days left! Who would spend that much on these. I mean I really want to go too, and would pay over the $20 ticket price, but no way would I pay $400 each! There is a BIN on Ebay for $2,000+!!!! I'm still holding out hope that I may be able to snag 2 tickets by some miracle!;)

I did find some really cute T shirts on Ebay for $20.

DH is reading the Host and he likes it. When he is done I will give it a try. I doubt it will get to me like the Twilight series has. I am going to reread all the books before Breaking Dawn comes out so it's all fresh in my head! Also, because I just can't get enough of Edward!!:lovestruc

So what would be the absolute worst outcome for this series for you? For me it would be that Bella ends up alone, without Edward or Jacob. I also really want her to become a vampire! I need my happy ending!!

I felt the same way about the books. I wanted to ask you if you have had any trouble joining Twilightmoms? I am dying to post there but haven't been able to get my account activated and it's been 3 days since I signed up!

Well, rats... I just signed up like an hour ago, so I guess I have a wait ahead of me. :(
