Twilight Check-in

Hi,
sorry i know this has probably been asked before but im new to the forums.

if you use twilight check-in, When do you need to get to the airport on departure day. I think I read in the virgin brouchure its 2 hours before instead of 3 but that still seems like a long time.

Welcome to the DIS!

If you use TC, it's the same as 'normal' in that you just have to go straight to the gate when you're ready - so really it's up to you and if you want to look in Duty Free or not. Just be sure to allow enough time to go thru Security.

I suppose if I didn't want to go shopping, literally turn up and go to gate I'd say it could be done in an hour, but it doesn't leave any leeway if something goes wrong (Delayed getting to the airport, pulled over by Security, etc) which would personally make me twitchy, hehehe.

I've just got my tickets from Virgin and the booklet that came with them says you have to make you way through passport control as normal and then present yourself at the gate 1 hour before departure. But! - in another leaflet that came with the tickets it says be at the gate 50 minutes before departure!

From my experience last trip, it can take a while to get through the security checks at passport control, and then the actual gate is quite a distance from the departure lounge via a little train thingy.

Also, if you have kids, then you will need to get to the gate to get your kids' back packs.
