... I stepped foot into the Magic Kingdom for the first time on the never to be repeated trip of a lifetime!

We didn't get there till nearly lunchtime (Dad got diverted by the Beltz shopping outlet and couldn't understand why we'd want to spend 4 days at a fun fair anyway!) so we hopped straight on the train to Frontierland and went to Pecos Bill's for lunch.

never to be repeated ... hmm that didn't quite work out did it? wish I was there right now!

This reminded me of our first trip to Disneyland California in 1997 - around this time of year. We got our 5 day passes when we got to the hotel :eek:I had no idea what to expect. I didn't read any guide books and hate to think how much we must have missed!

You made me go dig out my old passport - I flew out to Orlando for the first time on 29 July 1989 :goodvibes We spent a week in Orlando and did Disney and Seaworld. We then spent a week at Clearwater Beach.

24 years later I still love the place

thats a cool ticket :goodvibes

thanks all

do you know what I really love about that ticket? That in the days before trip journals and trip reports and photos being time stamped I can look at it and see where we went each day! (back in the days of MGM (the not very clear initals on day 2)).

I remember crying on the ferry back to the parking lot on the last day at Magic Kingdom as it was pouring and mum and dad decided they'd had enough so we left about 3pm, I really really thought I'd never get to go back!
