T'was the Night Before Christmas, Not an OUTLAW in Sight!..Updated 2/13

I had to laugh first at your description of your outlaws... erm... inlaws!

Telling them you would be away longer than you actually will be is something I would do... Thank heavens for caller ID, it has been a lifesaver! :lmao: :lmao:

You planned lunner at Flame tree BBQ? We had dunch at Brown Derby! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hi Lynn. I found ya. Great start, you are very entertaining.

:3dglasses I'm glad you found me too!
Can't wait to hear more

:hyper2: We'll be typing just as fast as we can!
In for the TR.

:dance3: So glad! I looked for you at POFQ and around the parks to no avail!
EE is one of my favorite rides too!! Glad I found your TR, can't wait for more!!:cool1:

popcorn:: I can't wait either to see what we come up with!

I love lunner and dunch!
BTW- I love your screen name because my DDs name is Deavon Leigh!

Okay I left you on the edge of your seat
th_02.gif
wondering about our first real Disney food. Our original plan was Lunner ( cross between lunch and dinner) at Flame tree. PLAN CHANGE AHEAD!

We actually ate at Tusker House. We had an ADR for 2:45. We arrived a little early and were seated right away. Our server was Meriah.
Here is a picture of her with the kids:

She was great! Very attentive and super friendly. :goodvibes The food was pretty good. In general we do no do buffets but there were many different things to sample. I tried a spoonful of several different things but the kids mostly stuck to what they were familiar with. Sorry no pictures. We were not in the “pictures before you eat it “ frame of mind yet so our plates were empty before we remembered!
th_Hungry.gif

This meal was covered on the DDP but it would have cost around 120.00 after gratuities. We probably would not have done this if we were not on the DDP and we would have just gone to Flame Tree.

After lunch we did the Safari.
th_animals_cover1.jpg
It had a 40 minute wait time posted but we actually waited about 30. I noticed the story had changed a little. Big Red and Little Red were removed form the story line. I wonder why?:confused3

We then went back to EE before doing ITTBAB.
th_Flik.gif
At this point the kids were tired
th_ao.jpg

and ready to leave. Me being the commando that I am insisted that we stay long enough to ride EE at night, which we did.

We left the park about 6:30 and got a bus right away to POFQ.

Up next …an unexpected guest in our room

then off to the pool.

How was EE at night?

I'm so impressed that your teenage children are willing to take their photos with CM's.

And no more Little Red? Someone has to tell us why.

I love AK after dark. My favorite place in WDW to be after dark is AK.

Keep the story coming.

I left you wondering who our unexpected guest was .

Our room was great!
th_excited.gif
We were in building 1 room 1234. That should be an easy number to remember after a few drinks even!
th_Drunk.gif
The room looked very clean and had a fresh smell. I am a clean freak so you know I was looking.

We called for our luggage and it arrived within minutes.

The kids couldn’t wait to get in the pool.
th_pp_dancing_429.gif

But

They would have to wait a few minutes because of an unexpected “ accident” in the pool. Something like this:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=3XZOUTXKDgk

You couldn’t have paid me a million trillion dollars to get in that water after I saw what they drug out!

By the time the super chlorine treatment wore off, it was after 8:00 and the lifeguards were off doody ( I mean duty) and the slide was closed ! The kids had fun anyway while Tony and I enjoyed the hot tub

with some of the wine we had brought.

Up next…Day 2 brought a disappointment and dreams too!

How was EE at night?

EE at night wasn't that different that Ee during the day because only a little of the ride is outside. AK in general was beautiful at night!

I'm so impressed that your teenage children are willing to take their photos with CM's.

And no more Little Red? Someone has to tell us why.

I love AK after dark. My favorite place in WDW to be after dark is AK.

Keep the story coming.

The kids loved taking pictures with characters and CMs. It was us that they got tired of having their picture with!

Yeah...I don't get the whole Little Red thing? It didn't take away that much from the attraction but I don't get it. The baby elephant animatronic is still in the back of the truck but is never refered to as anything other than a baby elephant.:confused3
ewwww, floaties in the pool!

Seriously!!!!:furious: This was the only night that we were going to be at the pool early enough for the kids to use the slide and things just didn't come out the way we planned.:rolleyes1

Now that I think about it ...the hot tub wasn't clear enough to see the bottom. I wonder what was lurking below that I couldn't see with my super duper clean freak eyes:eek:

The mystery of Little Red story solved. Photos don't lie. I thought you left the outlaws at home.

Great update Lynn. Love all the pics. We've never been to AK after dark -looks nice! Yuck about the pool though I'm sure that happens more often than we know.

Lynn---that room is really close to where we stayed. I'll have to look for the rm. number!

Here’s what was planned:

7 am alarm-Tony to food court to fill mugs with coffee
Epcot day scheduled with a dis meet with Monica at rope drop
Test Track, Soarin and The Land
Lunch at Sunshine Seasons
Tony and kids Mission Space ( not me because of prior three bag incident).
Play in innoventions and get Disney Visa picture
11:15 Canada storyteller,11:55 France storyteller
12:50 Japan storyteller, 1:25 Germany storyteller
1:45 Mexico storyteller
Mono to MK
4:00 Liberty Tree
Castle lighting
POTC, Jungle Cruise BTMRR, Splash
7:00 Twas the night
Wishes then 2nd parade

Here’s what went down:

The phone rang at 7am as planned
th_thme-1.gif
and the kids said it was a song from Enchanted- Carrie Underwood
th_newpress.jpg
“Ever Ever After“. They seemed disappointed.
th_sad.gif

NO mugs to fill
th_drinking.gif
th_crying.gif
because they were the Year of a Million Dream mugs not POFQ mugs. That saved us $25 and we just made the coffee in our room, grabbed a breakfast bar and headed to Epcot.
th_12_7_81.gif

I called Monica while on the ride over to Epcot
th_cellphonesmiley.gif
and she said they probably wouldn’t make rope drop. She sounded a teensy weensy frazzled so we agreed to call once in the park.
Once admitted into the park we noticed people milling around Spaceship Earth
th_DSCF3117.jpg
so we inquired and were told they did not know if it would open today. We waited a few and then took off for Soarin.
th_running.gif
There was a 20 minute wait posted but it went much quicker. You know how the line is moving along and you’re sure that you’ll get on this ride?
th_110104_emM5.gif
Well that was happening until we got to the front of the line.
th_stop.gif
This really isn’t our favorite ride and we didn’t want to wait forever (haha it had been about 5 minutes) then the lined stopped and we were left standing at the front of the line . Feeling dejected , we waited with longing looks on our faces
th_remoteImage-88.gif
and then ….out of nowhere we spotted them. They looked glorious and brought smiles to the faces of those who recognized what they represented. Could it really be
th_Shocked.gif
…THE DREAM TEAM!!!!!!!

They started talking to our family and then they handed out these babies:

42494161.jpg

After we were all qued up for our ride we got a picture with them:

42494157.jpg

How awesome is that?!?!
th_happy111.gif
Of course I had to call Monica and see if they were in the park yet ( and let her know about the DFPs). They were getting ready for Test Track. We agreed to try again later hoping to be closer.
Our plans had to change so that we could take advantage of the DFPs so Innoventions went out the window and we had to reevaluate our storyteller schedule.
We then did Nemo
th_fa0f.jpg
with no wait, used our DFPs for Soarin and The Land and tried Monica again. We were closer this time-she was at Nemo but now my kids were hungry. We fed them something quickly from Sunshine Seasons and I tried Monica again. No answer! I was probably annoying her! We went to Club Cool and sipped all the beverages. I tried not to think about all the germs from people drinking from a cup and then using the same cup , touching it to the dispenser and sharing their mouth and all it’s germs with everyone.
th_gross.gif

The kids did Mission Space
th_Epcot1-10-05032Small.jpg
with the DFPs , we all did Test Track
th_HPIM0705.jpg
with DFPs.
The Dream Fast Passes really weren’t necessary because it wasn’t crowded but we did feel it necessary to flash them about to everyone who did not have one!

Is that mean?

I’ll save the Storytellers for another post.

PO French Quarter looks beautiful....

I love all of your animated graphics...cracking me up:rotfl2:

The youtube video cracked me up:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Everest at night does look really pretty:goodvibes

I love your redneck photo:lmao:
