TV Series on DVDs

Lets see.. We own these sets on DVD:
Red Dwarf
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Futurama
The Simpsons (Seasons 2 & 3)
Coupling (British Version)
Family Guy
Chappelle's Show
Mr. Bean

The ones we're planning to buy real soon are:
Angel
Blackadder
X Files (when the prices come down)
Chris wants Star Trek: TNG
The rest of the Simpson's that we don't own yet!

I'd love to see the TV show from the 80s called "Voyagers!" out on DVD. I used to love that show. I miss Jon Erik Hexum. :(

Oh I can't believe I forgot to mention that I want to own Highlander! UGH! How could I possibly have forgotten Adrian Paul!?!?!?!

Got Seasons 1 and 2 of West Wing and took advantage of the $10 rebate. Check just came this week!

I was surprised that it actually is a very enjoyable show if you can blow off all the liberal psyco-babble. Lots of laughs and great lines. Josh is SO clueless and Toby is very much an "always p***ed off" lib. Looking forward to Season 3 but I haven't heard when yet. If they stay consistent, it'll be November.

Also have Season 1 of Star Trek: TNG. Would like to get the rest but at $100 a season, well, that's a bit much.

Seriously considering "Home Improvment" when it comes out in November. Also curious about the content of "North and South". The price seems quite cheap for what sounds like all three parts in one volume.

Seriously???????? I have been wanting this for years now!!!!!!!!!! I'll be looking for that info right now! Thanks!!!

I can't believe I'm the only one on 5 pages of posts who owns Season 1 of "Malcolm in the Middle." We're dying to get season 2, but I can't find out when it'll be released!!

We also own all of MASH and a few of Bonanza. Will get Northern Exposure for DH for Christmas; probably get him Home Improvement, too.

My family doesn't have any TV series DVDs, but I'd like to get Spongebob Squarepants (yeah, I know, I'm a little weird) and Boy Meets World. :D

Is it just me or does anyone else have the urge to go DVD shopping now?

Stupid doctor and stupid bedrest. :crazy2:

hmmm.. There is always Overstock.com.

See you guys in a bit! I'm going SHOPPING!!

We have:

Futurama, entire series
Lost In Space, Season 1 (Season 2 on order)
CSI Season 1 (not getting others, I just esp. like 1st year)
Firefly (one of the best shows ever made)
Simpsons, every season released so far
Battlestar Galactica Cylon Box
Captain Scarlet & the Mysterons

Star Trek Original Series 1 is on order.

Little House on the Prairie seasons 1-5
Chattyholic, FYI: season 6 will be out in October

Wish list:
Who's the Boss
Different Strokes
Silver Spoons

DH has In Living Colour

I have Seasons 1 - 7 of Friends plus the series finale.
I have Six Feet Under Season 2

I also have Law & Order: SVU season 1, but that was a gift from work.

My boyfriend and his dad buy DVD's of series all the time. I borrow theirs. I spent labor day weekend watching the first season of CSI. And then started the second season last weekend. Once I catch up on the series, I will start recording them on my TiVo.

Desiree: I already have season 1 of Angel(and season 2 as a rental) and both are worth the price.Especially seaoosn 2 since Lorne joins the team(he's one of my favorite characters)

Buffy DVD question: Which season do I need to get Fool for Love?

so far, we have most of Sex and the City...I bought both seasons of "24" for my husband and now that I know that there is one for Trading Spaces, I will have to be on the lookout...I also want to pick up the first season of Gilmore Girls and Seventh Heaven...I don't think that they are a waste of $ because I am one of those people that can watch something over and over again...I really wish we could get the Cosby show on DVD...we have been watching recently on Nick@Nite and it is absolutely hilarious!
also, I would like the Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica!

I was in Best Buy today and they had Freaks and Geeks.

I bought Flintstones Season 1 - can you believe my kids have never seen a Flintstones cartoon. I might have to go back and buy the Jetsons for the same reason.

I'm planning on buying 21 Jump Street when that comes out this Oct. - my daughter is a huge Johnny Depp fan and wants to see this show so bad.

My husband wants Cheers, but the later seasons with Kelly and Henri and John Hill.:teeth:

I'm hoping Welcome Back Kotter comes out soon. I want shows I don't see anywhere on tv.

Happy Days is another I might get.

I agree with Desiree, Adrian Paul is great! We own every season currently available of Highlander. As soon as one is released I buy it for my DH. He likes the show and I like Duncan. We even named one of our DD's Tessa:D

Lauri pretty much named all the ones we have. Glad to see I'm not the only fan of "Firefly" around here! That was such a cool show and it's too bad it ended much too soon. I've heard that Joss Whedon is working on a movie picking up where the show left off.

I have to admit, the Highlander series is high on my list as well. That was such a great show, extremely well-acted and well-written. Unfortunately the DVD sets are a bit pricey. Hopefully they'll come down a bit soon.

the price is what is scaring me from buyng the CSI sets(CSI goes for about 60 and Buffy goes for about 45 )

I got:

Wiseguy (the 3 arcs)
24: Seasons 1 and 2
Sledge Hammer! Season 1
The A-Team Season 1
Knight Rider Season 1
G.I. Joe Season 1, Part 1
Batman: The Animated Series Part 1

I would like to get Star Trek, but at $100 a pop, I'm heading to eBay instead.

Buffy DVD question: Which season do I need to get Fool for Love?

Fool for Love is on Season 5 and a great ep. if I do say so myself! I loved it when they delve into Spike's past!

We're definately going to be picking up Angel. It's next on my list! Can't wait to start watching them! We're about to start watching Firefly also. It's coming up next on our Netflix account. We've heard so much good things about it. I'm really looking forward to it!
