TV dinners from the 70s

The Swanson Turkey Dinner was my favorite. My memories go back well before the 70's when they were all warmed up in the oven. Microwaves came along eventually.

I have two words and a letter for you

Boil n Bags

Loved the turkey and gravy or the beef and gravy over wonder bread with a big old glass of koolaid. MMMM MMMM good stuff.:rotfl2:

Oooh! The fried chicken was yummy!! But I think my favorite was the Salisbury Steak with gravy and mashed potatoes. MMMmmmmm!!

Makes me long for the old days! :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Oh yes! Salisbury steak. But I remember picking the tv tray based on what dessert was offered - much like I'd pick my cereal based on the prize. :teeth:

Go back to the 60s.
We had a Swanson dinner that had soup also! You pried off a lid that was over the soup on your TV dinner. Usually tomato soup.:p
It was so good and a real treat for us.:goodvibes

We loved the meatloaf with tomato sauce, green beans, tater tots and a brownie. Too Funny!

That was my favorite although I didn't like the brownie. I loved the green beans since they had the best flavor. I'd hate to think what the meatloaf was made of but back then, who thought of that :)
