Is there regular tv in the cabins?? I just realized that I will be missing The Apprentice. Oh well...

well....yes and no. You get ESPN, ESPN2 & ABC for most of the cruise.

does anyone know if any of the financial channels come in, ie.. bloomberg or CNBC. I know I'll feel lost not knowing what the markets are doing and I promised my family I wouldn't trade while on this vacation! (which means no internet!)

CNN I think was the only real news type channel other than ABC. I don't recall any others. They are mostly ABC (Disney) affiliates.

This was one service I found disappointing. We have DD3 and DD4 who needed room breaks and early bedtimes and so the television took on a bigger role. A lot of Disney channels,ESPN,ESPN 2,no Fox,two networks, couple of independents,CNN or CNBC,not much else.

BUt I loved the Movie Channels..........

I didn't find out we had them until our last night.....

(Watched Shrek 2 as we fell asleep)

ABC - limited broadcasting; subject to blackouts.
CNN - always on
Headline News - always on
ESPNs - always on
CBS - added to Wonder, subject to blackouts. Not on Magic.
SITCOM Channel - Munsters, Gilligan's Island, Spin City, Scrubs, Friends, Drew Carey repeats ... at least on the Magic. Same one or two episodes of each show repeated throughout cruise
6 MOVIE CHANNELS - a new movie starts every 3 hours, every half hour a new movie starts on one of the channels
2 DISNEY Animated Movie Channel - movies every 2 hours, a new movie starts on the hour on one of the two channels

Very limited TV offerings; I guess due to statelite issues. They don't have other ABC channels such as Disney Channel, Soap Net, Lifetime, A & E, etc. They may have Toon Disney - not sure.

We were on the 10/16 Magic and were happy with the new movie channels, but wished that the two Disney channels were split...one for animated, and the other for some of the older non-animated movies..."Parent Trap", "The Computer that Wore Tennis Shoes", "Swiss Family Robinson", that type of thing. I would also love a classic's channel, have that repo cruise coming up...I know the aim is not for people to sit around their cabins, but I seldom get the chance to watch a movie at home...or even go to the movies. I enjoyed "Ladder 49", "Princess Diaries 2", and "Home on the Range" on the 10/16 cruise.

This was current as of last Fall...

I'm with BELLE16127. I'm always stunned at how many people have to watch there favorite show or sports team, while on a cruise. Or any vacation. With small children I can understand it for a little wind down time every now and than. But how can someone say my D(fill in the letter) will not go on this trip unless they can watch his/her favorite show or sports team; which I have seen posted here.

To each their own:wave2:
