Tuxedo rental?

Me and DF just realized renting tux's will pose a problem. Since we live up north, we will either have to rent them for a long time, which I'm sure would be costly, (and annoying to bring on the plane) or find somewhere that rents both up here and down there so the guys could get fitted here, and then pick up the tux's near Disney. What did everyone else do?

I went thru Carolyn Allen's. It was very easy and they were very nice. They are affliated with Jim's formal wear. I had my DH measured actually at Macy's. I filled out the rental form online and chose the tuxedo he wanted. They came to the hotel room the day before the wedding with the Tux, had him try it on, it fit perfectly. If it did not fit, they would re-measure and take it back and bring it back the next day. We dropped the Tux off at the bell desk the next day. Very easy!!! Highly reccommended.

Can't say enough good things about Keith and the gang at Carolyn Allen! They took care of everything, even when I screwed up the measurements and we only found out 2 days before the wedding. A top-notch crew - everything was super easy and fuss-free! Go with them, you won't regret it!

We are using Mens Wearhouse. My DF and his BM got measured at MWs by their houses and then contacted the MW in Orlando. They are very accomidating and deliver the tuxes to the hotel a few days early so the men can try on and if any changes can be made they have time to do it. Julie is in charge at the Orlando MW and specializes in Disney Weddings. I highly recommend them!

my fiance is also using Men's Wearhouse...he gets measured at home and picks up/drops off the tux at the Orlando location. Pretty easy!

w/Men's Wearhouse the guys can get fitted near where they live and pick 'em up in Orlando...just make sure they're all arriving in Orlando not too close to the wedding date (like my guys), because then they HAVE TO pick them up where they live (the earliest our guys are arriving is a Friday night and the wedding's a Monday)

Our guys are arriving either two days before or the day before, will Men's Warehouse tell us when we order if that is to close to the wedding date, or do we have to plan to have the guys pick them up before traveling down?

We're using MW also, but they gave us a list of stores in the Orlando area. Which one is the one you're using, so we can make sure to get Julie?

It is the Winter Garden location. The number is 407-656-7700 ex. 4 or 800-965-0872 ext 1. Hope this helps!

We used Carolyn Allen's, which does go through Jim's Formalwear for their tuxes. Absolutely wonderful! My DH and FIL got measured up here at a local seamstress, BM and my father got measured at Jim's Formalwear retailers in Portland ME, and Worcester, MA. All I had to do was send them a link to this form http://www.jimsformalwear.com/out_of_town.htm and then they sent it back to me. We faxed everything down to CA's and they took care of everything. I had picked out what I wanted them to wear online and was able to send that down to them.

We were married 10/12 which was a Monday (Columbus Day) and had all the guys try on their tuxes 10/9 at my hotel room. My Dad's jacket needed to be switched out, which they took care of and dropped it off at POFQ bell services for us to pick up. Everything fit perfectly morning of!!

Here's a picture of the best man (DH's brother), my DH and FIL

Yep, they'll tell you whether or not you can pick them up in Orlando. We had wanted to do that (although my dad didn't want to drive there to make sure it fit cuz he's never had a problem, haha), but they said it was too close to the wedding and we'd have to pick them up there (near our house) and take them on the plane. They give the guys nice suit bags tho' that fold up nicely but still keep them nice! I was actually surprised/impressed by that because the second they said they'd have to take them on the plane I was worried the rest of the guys would have to buy a suit bag!

Another recommendation for MW. DH was in Iraq, groomsmen were all over. They could go to their local MW and get measured. Then, they were all delivered to the GF. We had a problem with the fit of the jacket to DH's tux, and they brought another one over STAT!

Here's a pic of the guys acting goofy with Mickey.

Carolyn Allen's was such a great help! They carry Jim's formalwear, which you can find at many local tux/dress shops. My husband went to a carrier of the brand, picked out the tux he preferred, and was measured. We emailed everything to CA's and all of the sizes and styles were great when they delivered for the wedding. The only thing I would keep in mind is that CAs, as well as many other local places, are not able to retrieve additional sizes over the weekend as they store their stock in a warehouse. If you are stressing, make sure you either schedule your initial fitting in FL to accommodate this, or request having multiple sizes on hand in the event that something doesn't fit. My FIL is 6'5 and his pants were extremely short despite being measured by a Jim's FW dealer. I had mentioned to CA's that his length may be an issue and they had various sizes on hand to fix the problem immediately. They were wonderful to work with!

Anybody travelling from the UK used Carolyn Allen's?
We will be arriving in Orlando a few days before the ceremony and had thought we might be able to get the men measured and fitted two or three days before the ceremony.
Any brides from the UK got any advice please
Thank you so much
