Tuxedo Rental

Where did you guys get your tuxedos from (especially those brides outside of FL). My dilemma is that I am having my wedding on a Monday at 5. I was planning to fly in on Saturday. I have only called After Hours (men's warehouse) and they said that their delivery closes at 12 and if there were any problems with the tux's, I would be SOL because they wouldn't be able to get anything delivered in time. The boys would have to get their tux's where ever they live and bring them down (the company in Florida would pick them up). I ideally wanted the boys to get the tux's down there. How did you all rent the tuxedos?

I used Carolyn Allens and they are still used by more recent Disney Brides. I live in the UK and the boys arrived on the Monday got measured up on the Tuesday (I had pre-chosen the tuxes that we wanted) and then the tuxes were delivered by CA's on the Thursday our wedding day and then we left them the next day with the bell stand and CA's picked them up for us. They're really close as well so that when one of the trousers were the wrong size we just called and she came back with the correct size.... job done!

We used Carolyn Allen's in August 2007 and all went great. The fact that they have been around and servicing Disney brides for over 10 years, should speak volumes about their services.

We arrived on a Monday, tux fittings were on Tues. Had to exchange a couple items so they just left the new items at bell services while we were at the parks.

I highly recommend CA. We sent the measurements down in advance. If you are afraid someone might be between sizes, you might see if they could bring out two sizes due to lack of time to exchange....just talk to them and see what options they offer.

I let DH decide, and he went with Afterhours. In my opinion, it was the worst decision of the wedding. It was nothing really bad about Afterhours, but we had to pick it up at the Florida Mall. I will admit that we should have planned this better, but I left it up to DH. He didn't plan jack for everyone to go pick them up at the same time. To add to it, his dad wouldn't drive himself to get it or drop it off! I ended up driving back and forth to that stupid store 3 times (almost 4 but my saint of a brother saved me from that trip).

I highly recommend a place that will deliver to the resort.

We used Absolutely Fitting. They were great. The guys called in thier measurments to them, they came 2 days before our wedding to fit the guys and deliver the tux. There was no problem with fittings but they brought extra shirts ..etc just in case. They came early in the morning as we requested. They came back 2 days after to pick up the tuxes at the bell services.

How did you select the tuxedo's from CA? Did you go to a place near you to select the tuxedo's? Select them down in FL? Or through the internet? Personally I would like to see them in person to see what color or style I am selecting. It sounds like a lot of people used CA and were happy with them.

I did it all over the internet - but I was just having black ad silver so no big deal on checking the colour.

One of my friends visited CA's on her Planning Session Trip to pick out colours to get them correct, they're about a 15 min drive from WDW.

If you aren't making a trip to WDW before the wedding you can always send swatches of your BM dresses and get them to advise on the best colour choices that they have?
