has anyone used www.cruiselineformal.com for tuxes on DCL? i was wondering what you thought and when is the best time to put in the order. i would also like to know if DCL has any way to do quick fixes like it says on the website for free? thanks

We used them a couple of years ago and it was great. Made the reservation I think about 3-4 weeks before we sailed. The tux was delivered to our room and in perfect condition. Didn't need any fixes so can't help you there. After the last formal night our cabin steward picked it up. Very convenient.

thanks for the information WDWLVR. have a great and happy thanksgiving:tongue:

I bought DH a tux on Ebay from cheaptux.com. They were great! Got a tropical light weight wool for almost the same as renting! Plus when the jacket was a bit tight, they agreed to exchange it even though it was a bid on item from Ebay! Great Service!

We used cruiselineformal.com and were very pleased with their service. They even noticed that the measurements the local tux place had given DH were WAYYYY off of what they should have been. We ordered 3-4 weeks prior to cruising.

all this information is really helpful and thanks yet again everyone

I used cruiselineformal for myself and my DS. We went to a local tux place and requested measurements for an out of town fitting. The tux place did it for no charge. Mine was a perfect fit. My DS had a little bigger shirt size then he needed, but we knew that ahead of time. When we booked, the neck and arm length were not compatable. DS still looked great. We just tucked the extra shirt length up the jacket.

DH used them twice and the tux fit fine. Since then, he purchased a tux through cheaptux.com.

I would recommend both companies. They're great to work with and they truly care about the fit. :D

to rent the suit is $85 for the 1 suit package and $120 for the 2 jacket package(which is 2 jackets one black and one white)

Just another thumbs up for cruiselineformal.com...

We've used them 3 different times. The tuxes have always been in beautiful condition, and our cabin steward has delivered them on day one. We like not having to pack the tux and shirt and dress shoes, and not having to deal with pressing and cleaning.

ChattyKathy- I believe that cruiselineformal.com is the only way to rent a tux on board. You just go to their website, choose the style and accessories you want, give them your measurements and put it on your credit card.

They do say that they keep a few spares on board to take care of any problems with the rented tuxes, but I don't think they keep a full inventory of extras so you can initiate your rental onboard.

(If this is not correct, I'm sure another DISer will know! Umm, and now I'm not sure that's even what you wanted to know. If I rambled, please just blame it on a turkey and dressing overdose... ):smooth:
