How is it? I'm from NYC and am used to good Italian and pizza. We didn't like via napoli. How does tutto italia compare? I have a Coral Reef booked but thinking of switching to tutto instead. Any thoughts? Thanks!

It's decent but I have found that one of the best Italian restaurants anywhere in the area that I've been to and thats including NYC and michelin star restaurants is Il Mulino at the Dolphin Swan Hotel. It is amazing and the selections they have are great. You can even ask for half of two different entrees to combine together.

I just looked at the menu and it looks amazing! Even has pizza for my kids. I may have to go there!

Il Mulino was delicious. I thought Tutto Italia was yummy, but I'm from Texas and we don't get super amazing Italian here. And I'm also not hard to please with pasta, so you may not want to take anything I say into consideration lol.

Coral Reef was cool if you've never been to that kind of restaurant (it smells super fishy in there though, like any aquarium does). The food was pretty good, I really liked the shrimp and grits. If you have an aquarium type restaurant nearby I would change it to something else. Also, you can see everything you see while eating in the aquarium building at Epcot. If it were me, I would book Tutto Italia and go in with mediocre expectations (only because I've never been to NYC or had authentic Italian) and if you really want some seafood go to a better seafood restaurant. Names I've heard a lot are Yachtsman, Flying Fish, The Boat house, Narcoossee's.

Yachtsman is already booked. It's my 13yo favorite restaurant ever lol. I'm picky with Italian as I grew up eating Italian. We did the big family Sunday gravy dinner weekly. My parents jar there own tomatoes every Sept for the year. The menu doesn't excite me at coral reef but my kids like the tanks.

Ive had plenty of good italian food and Tutto Italia is garbage in my opinion. The food came out literally within 5 or so minutes. I kid you not. And it was not very good. Especially since theyre charging premium prices. Havent been there since. It amazes me that they get so many glowing reviews. Id recommend a number of other places at Epcot over Tutto. Just my opinion though. Good luck and book early!

You guys didn't like Via Napoli. What did you order (specifically)? I have found that I wasn't that impressed with their pizzas that have red sauce, or the one with the truffle oil either, but their Quattro formaggi pizza is awesome, we love it, everyone we take to Via Napoli also loves it.

My kids had basic pizza. I had some tube macaroni dish with ricotta. I dont remember what dh had. It was edible but nothing I would go back for. I know I'm the minority with vianapoli.

If you didn't like Via Napoli even their pizza I'd suggest Il Mulino in the Swan instead (but still dont get their pizza either as the pizza is worse than via napoli, stick with the pasta and meat dishes instead), I personally don't think Tutto Italia will live up to your expectations, I think Il Mulino will have a better shot.

All my Dis peeps RAVED about Tutto Italia so we were so excited when we got a resi for our last trip back in Oct. My mom is from Europe - a country very close to Italy in the Mediterranean. I did not think this place was that great. I'd give it 2 our of 5 stars. I did not get pizza but tried a fish item off the menu and it was bland. I would not eat there again. We have eaten at Coral Reef before and loved the atmosphere. I think I had Lobster something and it was really good. My kids loved their food and their cupcake desserts. A friend of mine raves about the steak at Coral Reef - says it is the best she's had on Dis property (I think the best is at Mama Melrose - to each their own, I guess ). I'd keep the coral reef resi, JMO.

Tutto is good, but nothing to write home about to be honest. If your from NYC, i'd honestly pass. Esp if you didnt like Via Napoli (Via is better than Tutto, but thats just my opinion).

Thanks all. Tutto is out. Il mulino appeals more to me but then I think a park would be out. I'll keep coral reef and find another spot for il mulino.

I would have never tried any WDW restaurant if I went by what others say about them, I have been able to try them myself and find what I like.
What is so strange is that I have found some of my Favorite places to eat.

If you have a small party (4 or fewer), you wouldn't necessarily need to make a reservation at Il Mulino - you can order the full dinner menu in the bar/lounge area. That might give you some flexibility to just wing it without feeling like you have to lock yourself into a reservation. Have fun!

I think you made a good choice skipping it. While we like it, and it's certainly better than chain restaurant quality - NYC quality it's not. It tasted very much like Via Napoli to me, so I think it's pretty much the same.

If you're particular about your Italian food, then I'd suggest passing on Italian at WDW. There are many Italian restaurants at WDW and I suspect it's because pasta dishes are cheap and easy to mass produce in busy restaurants. Il Mulino is the best bet since it's third party operated and not on DDP, but I'd still skip it.

That's perfect! We are a party of 4. We are staying BC, maybe dh and I can just head over alone

I live between NYC and Philly, equal distance to get to either, and I did not like Tutto. Trust me, you won't either so good decision to skip it. If you're looking for a good restaurant in World Showcase, Spice Road Table is very good!

I totally get where you are coming from. I'm not very keen on ordering their entrees, we've tried their Chicken Parm, it was ok, good, but not really worth $26 and it came with a small side of potatoes?! Like I had said, we just love their one pizza, and that is what we order every time, and their calamari.

Most Italian food at Disney is okay. But, I really do like the lasagna at Tutto Italia and their calamari as well.

That Quattro formaggi pizza is in my dreams! My daughter and I get that everytime. I'm drooling right now!
