any comments on Tutto Italia , I am thinking of eating there? TIA :cool1:

We had a very nice lunch there in January. We were a party of nine and everyone liked their food. If you're on the DDP it's a good value. It's quite expensive OOP, which we were, and they wouldn't allow my 12 YO to order off the kids menu, so we paid $19 for a bowl of plain spaghetti! Probably wouldn't go with the kids again unless we were on the DP!

We had dinner there in Oct. 2009, we loved it.

Tutto is one of my favorite places to eat. I always get the Penne Caprese! It's a simple yet very good dish.

Eat there every year, at least once. One of our favorites. Everyone in my family enjoys it.

It is on our "must do" list for every trip since we ate there last year. My DH said we could every lunch and dinner there if it were up to him. :thumbsup2

We had dinner there the night we arrived for our trip in February and we all loved it. It was a bit pricey (our meal cost over $200) but we were on the DxDP so it really didn't matter to us but you might want to take price into account if you're paying OOP.

We had dinner there in Jan 09 and didn't see what all the hype was about. I was really looking forward to it too. We both ordered pasta, maybe that was our mistake. IMO, there's something wrong with an Italian restaurant if they can't make a decent spaghetti and meatballs. I tried DH's, it wasn't very good. I ordered panzotti. There were teeny tiny pieces of zuchinni in it it with the pasta and a very very rich sauce. No balance to the dish. I love rich sauces, but this was waaaaay over the top.

Service was rushed and cold, I think because we were a party of 2. Our food was not made to order. Literally less than 5 min after we ordered, our food was on our table.

If we weren't on the DDP, I would have been livid about the cost compared to the quality of our meal.

Back in January I ate at both Tutto Italia as well as Mama Melrose. I have to say I enjoyed the food so much better at Mama Melrose. Tutto felt quieter and a little more intimate but I didn't find the quality of the food was worth the price...felt like I got more for my money at Mama Melrose and the chicken parmesan was amazing there!

We ate there a little over a week ago and thought it was terrible. The kids ordered cheese sticks and had them sent back because they were still stone cold inside; tried again and same thing. I sent back my veal because it was tough as shoe leather. My husband's pasta dish was pretty good and one DD liked her alfredo. We didn't even bother with dessert. Service was as cold as the appetizers, too. Bottle of wine saved the day:)

I went to Tutto in June '09 and LOVED IT! I was skeptical at first but it was fantastic. I had the pressed chicken I believe and it was delicious. I was stuffed and couldn't stop myself from eating it was that good!

My advice would depend on whether you have kids, and if so, how old they are.

I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at Tutto, but when we've been there with our younger (well behaved) children, the CMs have not been as friendly and I didn't enjoy it as much. When I went in college with my parents and then-teenage brother, it was great. When I went after college and before children, it was also great.

Really looking forward to the new restaurant in Italy!!!

I can't get over all the cold service comments. Our server, Jessica was wonderful and the best we had all week. She taught DD a couple of phrases in Italian, chatted with DH in length about skiing in our area and then gave me all sort of helpful park tips. DS fell asleep shortly after getting his salad and she helped us pull his chair over and get him settled so DH could eat and hold him. She packaged up DS's meal (even giving him a little to go cup of soda) so we could take it with us which was great because Illuminations woke him up and he ate his pizza while watching the show.

I will say that our ADR was at 8 pm and the dining room was starting to clear out so maybe that has something to do with our service being so good. I don't know but Jessica really set the standard and most of our other servers throughout the week fell short in comparison.

Our experience there in February was dismal. The food was not cooked to order; our main courses were served less than 5 minutes after ordering. Both meals (veal and lasagna) were bad. The veal was overcooked and resembled the heal of a shoe. The lasagna was obviously kept reheated too long, as the noodles were cooked to mush and the filling had little flavor. Our waitress was much more interested in dealing with the large table nearby, as drink refills were not to be had. Never again!

Thank you everyone for your reviews. Like every other eating establishment whether in Disney or in NY City they are mixed. I am going to try it, I am sure it will not be the same as eating in the north end in Boston but I will be on the dining plan and this will be a good decicion maker to go there again to eat.

We also a big fans! Went last year and are for sure going back this year as well. My sister had the lamb last year and it was GREAT!

If you are on the DP then it is good. OOP it's not so good. I didn't like spending so much on spaghetti and a salad. I was really hoping for the kind of Italian food we get in New Jersey when I visit my sister and BIL. I was disappointed.

We've eaten here twice and both times the food was wonderful. The only negative thing was the first time we ate there we felt extremely rushed. We were still eating our appetizer when I saw our food come out. She saw we were still eating and brought it back to the kitchen. As soon as we were done with the app the entree came out. Crazy quick. The second time it was at a much better pace.
