How similar are these two restaurants? I know that one is Italian and the other Mediterranean, but are they too similar to enjoy both on one visit? We will also be doing the Mama Melrose Fantasmic Dinner package, so didn't want to go overboard with too much of one thing.

If you had to choose one of the two (Tutto Italia or Spoodles) which would it be?

Personally, I'd ditch Mama Melrose, as the Fantasmic packages are expensive and don't really give you great seats, and then do Tutto and Spoodles.

I should mention that we are on the dining plan, so price isn't as much of a concern as the restaurant itself and the food.

i would go for Spoodles. both the food and the service were great! we were on the DDP too and everything we had you couldn't go wrong with. i agree with the other poster though that said they'd ditch mama for tutto and spoodles. the fantasmic dinner package wasn't really THAT great.... i did it one year with H&V.

Tuttos. We've never been there, but we have been to Spoodles. Spoodles was the absolute WORST meal of our entire trip! In fact, we left there and immediately got corn dogs on the Boardwalk since we really didn't eat much. The kids are pickier eaters, so I can understand if they complained about something they construed as "different". However, my husband and I can (and usually do :goodvibes ) eat just about anything. However, we didn't like any of the dishes we ordered for dinner -- and we had 4 different dishes to choose from. Even the steak - which we consider a reasonable "safe" bet for our pickiest eater - was tough and grizzly. Taste and textures of all foods were terrible and the waiter was SOOOO slow.

We will be going the week of June 8th, which is a busier time. Would y'all still recommend against the Fantasmic Dinner Package?

You can't even compare them, really. Now you can compare Mama Melrose (blech) and Tutto Italia, since they are both Italian.

I have always had good exps at Spoodles and enjoy it but I have never tried to compare it to an Italian restaurant.

I might be biased, but I have both Spoodles and Tutto booked. They are not the same in any shape or form. I've been to Mama Melrose. Its eh. So so. I enjoyed my meal, it wasn't bad. My DH didn't find a lot that appealed to his taste is all.
