Just back from 7 nights at Disney on the DDP. I should have known better, but we were kinda stuck on our last night and wanted to stay at Epcot for the fireworks so we "lucked out" and got a walk in reservation at Tutto Italia.

I ordered the Pasta with crabmeat, tomatoes and garlic sauce. It was priced at $27. First of all the crabmeat was from a can. Tasteless. The dish consisted of spaghetti pasta, about 6 cherry tomatoes and no garlic, as far as I could tell. I should have sent it back and ordered something else, but time was a factor, as we were trying to make the fireworks and we were with another family.

Just posting to warn DIS readers to stay away from this dish. My daughter's lasagna was good and my husband seemed to enjoy his red snapper. The last time we visited I had the steak with fennel and arugula. It too was pretty bad.

On a positive note, EVERY other meal we had was outstanding. Hollywood and Vine was a pleasant surprise. Narcosees, Kona Cafe, Boma, LeChefs du France were all great.

This is a huge bummer to me. We couldn't get LeCellier, so we booked Tutto Italia instead. I hope we don't regret it.

You might try another restaurant. Even one at the Boarwalk or Yacht Club, which would only be a short walk out of the International Gate at the rear of Epcot. The gate is manned until midnight for those guests that need to walk back thru Epcot to get to their car or just want to get back into Epcot.

I know that Tutto Italia is one of those restaurants that is managed by a non Disney entity. But it just does not make the Disney cut for me and this is after trying it twice.

Shoot. That was the one dish that I was planning to order. Has anyone else had the same experience?

I had the crab and pasta dish last week at lunch. I thought it was very good, quite flavorful. I didn't think the crab meat was canned, and the sauce was light, garlicky and buttery. I'm not a fan of tomatoes anyway, so I just pushed them aside.

BF had the lasagne and I had a taste too, and it was very, very good. You could taste the contrasts of the different cheeses.

The different breads brought out for dipping in the olive oil were a nice selection.

I had the tiramisu for dessert and he had the profiteroles. They are quite generous with the chocolate sauce for the profiteroles and they leave the sauce on the table if you'd prefer more.

The waitstaff were quite attentive and charming. We didn't feel rushed. I actually asked the server which dish she recommended and she claimed the crab dish was her favorite. I found it a good choice for a light meal to start the day.

DH had the crab and spaghetti dish when we were there in August. We both loved it, and the crab didn't taste canned. Perhaps the OP just got a bad night. Tutto Italia was one of our favorites - so much that we have an ADR for both our October and February trips!

I am sorry you didn't enjoy it. We ate there last week and it was my hands down favourite meal.
However.. I don't eat any seafood so I can't attest to the quality.

Please tell me about the food at Hollywood and Vine. I am seriously considering canceling my Fantasmic package cause I heard it was so bad. What kind of food did they serve? Was the chicken in a berry sauce? My Mom hates fruity sauces / glazes.

Thanks-

Wow, you are the first negative tutto I have read. We have been, party of six..everything, every single dish was outstanding and we can't wait to go back again.

Tutto is fantastic...please, don't let one bad review discourage anyone.

We were there on September 13th and had a great meal. I had the steak, which was outstanding, DH had the chicken cutlet Milanese which was also excellent.

Now France that night, THAT was a horrific meal...but that's another story.

Hi folks,

Sorry but perhaps they ran out of fresh crab, on Tuesday night. But being from Virginia we are used to fresh crab, the moist flavorful kind. There was plentiful crab on the dish, but it was the dry, canned, tasteless variety. So that being said, if you really want to order this dish, I would ask if the crab is fresh or canned. And really, maybe we had a new cook, there was no garlic flavor at all in the sauce. It was like a big bowl of spaghetti noodles with little or no flavor.

I do agree with a previous post concerning the bread. It was quite good and there was a good variety for dipping in olive oil. Also the desserts looked quite good. I had the fruit tart, which was light and refreshing.

I was somewhat concerned about the food at H and V as, I too, had read the post before going on our trip last week. I was pleasantly surprised. The salads were very fresh and flavorful. Try them all. There was a great cucumber and fresh ginger salad, a beautiful arugula, grapefruit and walnut salad. Breads were flavorful. I had the prime rib, which was being sliced. It was great. There was also turkey being sliced. I didn't try the chicken, sorry. Oh, I did try the creamed cornbread and it was moist, hot and delicious . The desserts were good as well- key lime tartlet, a nut bar, snickers cheesecakes, cobblers, etc.
Now the wait service was slow, but the lady was trying. She kept bringing a variety of drinks to the table, even if we hadn't ordered them. And that worked fine. But then we were a party of 8. Yes, Hollywood and Vine had some good quality dishes and I definitely go there again. Maybe Disney is keeping an eye on the disboards!!

Thanks Kimberly :thumbsup2
I think I'm just gonna let Mom decide. I want this trip to be perfect for her but I know in my heart that good meal or bad...we'll have a great time. So I should stop worrying right?

I had this dish too and I was underwhelmed. It was just "okay". Yes, the crab was suspect. NO chunks just very shredded washed out meat. (I thought it was canned too.) The sauce in mine was very salty. Like when you cook with too much supermarket cooking wine. The other dishes at the table were good except pasta caprese which was bland. The desserts were excellent! Maybe it all depends on who is in the kitchen the day you go? Our waiter recommended this dish so it must be good sometimes?:confused3

The service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. We had a nice enough experience but if we had paid OOP, I would have been unhappy. Tutto wasn't bad. Just not as good as it should be for the entree prices (IMHO).

BTW Our food at H&V was very good for a buffet. Fresh and tasty. It is set up like a cafeteria so it's not very quiet or relaxing but the buffet choices were fresh and tasty.

Aww that stinks!!! Sorry you had a bad meal!

I love the Penne Caprese there...OMg it is like the best ever lol.

Sorry you had such a bad experience. We ate there in late August and had the pasta with crabmeat which was very flavourful and nice and the Caprese Pasta which was heavenly!
It was a MUCH better experience than what we had at Alfredo's a year ago! One of the best meals we had during a three week "food" vacation! :goodvibes
