How long does breakfast at Tusker House take to actually enjoy it. The earliest I was able to get an ADR was 8:20am and I still would like to make rope drop at 9:00 am.

If you have little ones who want to see the characters, get pictures I would say you will most likely miss rope drop, why I didnt time our meal it took a while and well worth the wait, characters were great and the food was fabulous, my favorite breakfast place.

I have a 7 year old DS, and Donald is his favorite. Just may have to wait for a little while in line for EE, while DM adn DD get fast passes for KS.

We were in and out of Tusker House in 45 minutes last July. We had an ADR at 8:00 and were able to see Rope Drop at 9:00. We were lucky though because the characters came to our little room first and then my kids were done with the excitement and just ate after that. They changed it (last year I think) so that Donald stands outside the restaurant and you take your picture with Donald before you go into the restaurant to eat and then Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, and Daisy come to the table. It didn't take them that long. We even had time for a parade around the restaurant! I think it might be cutting it close, but if Donald is his favorite just realize that you can see him before you eat and that may shave a few minutes off of your time.

We had a 830 ressie and checked in early and were seated right away. We just missed rope drop and had a 5-10 minute wait on the Safari ride (basically the time it took you to walk back to where you get on the jeep).

If you want any chance, be sure to take care of your check early on in your meal. That way, when you are done eating and the characters have come and gone, you will be ready to leave.

Have fun - Tusker House was our favorite character breakfast of 6 on our last trip. We have an 815 ressie for our late May/early June trip. I can't wait!!!

It's not on Tuesday May 31st, by any chance is it?

We had a 8:20 the other day & it wouldn't of mattered if we'd had a 8:00. Because the room we were seated in had the characters come to it last.

We finished eating before any of the characters arrived & they even had 2 parades around the room before they got to us. Was about an hour before the last character got to our table. We didn't really care about drop drop but I was surprised at how slow it was.

Last time we ate about 10:30 & I think it was lots faster.

It is really good & I love eating there but next time I'll go w/ a late breakfast after we catch a few rides & grab a fastpass.

we finsihed our breakfast too before all of the characters came to our table. I think 1 came to the table while we were finishing up and the musical parade. Of course it took us 20 mins to get the check and the server to get it back to us.

I would change to a 10:20 ARD. Send DH to get your safari FP right before eating and ride right after. That way you won't be rushed and can enjoy rope drop and rides before. Save the shows for after the brunch. You will be full until dinner. This is what we do and it is so much more relaxing and more time with the characters. Actually we usually see all of them before we eat as they do the last rounds and the last parade and then we eat.
