Is it possible to eat at Tuskers and skip the characters?

They come right to your table so a quick wave would indicate you are not interested in photos. Just do a quick Hi and they will move along.

I was thinking more of a 'eat at the bar' or 'sit in this other room' - not saying we don't want the interaction (or that we do).
During our last trip, there were so few people in the restaurant that they all came around two times. If we had hung out much longer, I think we would have gotten a third trip.

It just got me wondering if it was possible to eat at these character restaurants without interacting with the characters.

Not really. It would be a wave off, probably not a skip.

They'll still come to your table, so just saying hi and waving (not getting up from your seat) would indicate you're not interested in a picture or autograph.
