I have any early reservation for Tusker house for 5 people but looking for something a little later. When playing around in the system, there is an opening for four people at the time we want. We have two adults, a 5 year old, 4 year old, and a two year old. The two year old can easily go in a high chair. Do you think I can take the reservation for four people and add the high chair on the spot?

Why don't you just book it and then call and see if you can modify the reservation for an extra person? I have done that twice now and each time they just modified our reservation to add an extra person. It can't always be done but it hasn't been a problem for us.

If you call they can usually add or subtract guests. I wouldn't recommend showing up with more people than you have listed on your ADR. You run the risk of a really long wait for a table, or of being turned away. Or having to have one family member wait outside. Only kind of kidding on that one.

Besides the whole thing about how many people can be in a restaurant at one time, you have to keep in mind that at many (if not most) Disney restaurants, there simply isn't room to just add another chair or highchair. They haven't left that much space between the tables.

Call. Good luck!

And esp. with the room we were in at Tusker House last year....it was pretty tight!

I had this happen at Chef Mickey's...We had 2 adults and a 2 year old...We were trying to get a ressie forever, finally found one for 2 at the time we wanted. We figured if we were turned away, one adult would eat somewhere else and the other would stay with the baby to eat. They gave us no problem, and actually told us that its common for people who have "infants" to not include them in the person count.

So, it's not a guarantee that they will accomodate but it may be possible.
