Tusker House - Reservation Before Park Opening

We have an 8:25 AM Tusker House reservation on a morning that AK doesn't open until 9:00 AM. We've never had a morning character meal before the park opens. How does this work? I searched the thread but was unable to find guidance. Thank you in advance.

There will be a sign at the front gate and a cm who will check your name to make sure you have a reservation for your Tusker House breakfast.

PPO anywhere is great, but this is the least photogenic park to have a PPO ressie! Not much to see prior to reaching the restaurant

We loved our PPO reservation at Tusker House in 2015. We arrived 25 minutes early and they went ahead and sat us. We finished five minutes before the park opened and were able to walk on the safari and ride EE and KRR with no wait.

Are there photopass photographers at Tusker House?

Great to know. I normally try to arrive for Rope Drop so it will be neat to go through the park before it's open.

Would we pass the Tree of Life to get to the restaurant? Would there be Photopass photographers out before the park opens?

You pass the pathway to the tree, but dont get near the tree. For PPO they only open a "Bee Line" from the entrance to the restaurant. There are paths along the way, but you cant really see down them because they are lines with trees and foliage. I cant answer your question re: the photographers. Ive never had the package, so never really looked. They are definitely inside the restaurant! Once you get out of breakfast, everything will be open



Here is a typical path. You cant even see around the corner because of all the foliage. These paths to different sections of the park are closed until park opening.

We had an early PPO breakfast there during a slow time of year (September). We rode KRR 4 times in a row without getting off! It was one of the lights of my daughters trip. She said she wants to do it again this trip! In March?!!! I dont think so!!
