Tusker House lunch for a picky eater?

And the picky eater is not any of my kids, but my husband! Just saw on another thread that Tusker House is now characters at lunch. We went there last year for breakfast and loved it. Were going to do it again this year, but now that it's lunch, I was considering that instead. We love Crystal Palace breakfast also, and like getting in the parks earlier than opening for nice pics. My DH only wants to do one character breakfast, so now thinking of keeping CP and switching here. Looked at the menu, and seems OK, but my DH thinks it's too "funky." Any thoughts?

I thought it was great, some plain stuff and some with a twist. Could eat the bread pudding all day!!!!

There is a good bit of variety. Some of the dishes may be funky, but there is straightforward meat (carving station) and potatoes (wedges and mashed) along with the sandwich fixings. And, because it's a buffet, he can try the funkier stuff without committing to an entrée.
