I haven't been to Boma, but I have done Tusker House dinner. It was nothing to write home about in my book. Don't get me wrong, it was OK, but I found it expensive (no DDP) for what it was. It was a regular buffet with hummus and seafood stew. And no characters, which it seemed like there should have been for that price!
BOMA has a much better selection than Tusker House. The thing abotu Tusker House - is that it's one of the only TS restaurants in AK and very rarely is full unless it's peak/summer season.
I have done the Tusker House lunch. It is like the minor league version of Boma. Not bad, there were actually a few things there I wish that they had at Boma, but not great. That being said your options at AK are limited so Tusker House is the best choice in you want to eat in the park.
My question is: Are the foods at Boma primarily cooked with cinnamon and cilantro (as some have reported)? I love spicy foods, but a little cinnamon/cilantro goes a long way. Looking at the menus on Deb's site, it looks like both Boma and Tusker House have wide varieties on offer (though Tusker House does get a thumbs up for the magic word: samosas!)...is the reality different?
