Any info on the new character meal at AK? Is it still slated for a Nov. opening and when will we be able to call and make ADRs? I'm wanting to eat here in Jan. and am wondering when I can make an ADR?
Thanks!!!

This might not help you for January, but I just booked it for February 6th. She said the breakfast would have Donald, Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. I'm not a breakfast person so I chose lunch instead, got a 12:00 reservation. :)

ok thanks! I didn't know you could book already. I'll call and give it a try!!!

SO there going to have characters at Lunch too? Or only breakfast? Thanks in advance.

No characters for lunch or dinner. ("dinner" starts around 3:30 pm - at least in January - due to AK closing at 5 pm!)

I just booked for early December, so there are some openings then too.

I booked an ADR for January23rd one of the last seatings for breakfast at 10:20. Thought we would have brunch (one less meal to buy)!!!!

Has anyone ever done a late breakfast seating?? and how was it.

I can't wait to try out the new breakfast.

Is this going to be a character meal? I just made some reservations for Tuskar House for our Jan trip... If it is a character meal then I will probably cancel.

What about the new TS restaurant near Asia? Is that open yet?

/Jim

Yes, breakfast is going to be a character meal.

And no, the new resturant in Asia is not open yet.

we will be in WDW in 20 days:woohoo: and the Tuskar house reopens while we are vacationing so we made ADRs, sounded like fun to us:thumbsup2

i will be there for breakfast on Jan 20th @ 8am.

I just booked for Jan 28 at 10:30- the last seating. They seemed to be wide open because I have a party of 7 and she told me to name the time. I told her I wanted the last seating available. I guess that ends my ADR making- got everything I wanted!!! Woohoo!!!:cool1:

We just did our last ADR for our trip...Tusker House. :yay:  :cheer2: :yay: I didn't even know it existed! I hope my DD and DS have a blast! We fly in on the 1st and have ADR dinner at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends and then breakfast the next day with Mickey and his Pals!!! I just hope DS 22 mo. handles the character well. :goodvibes

My DD was 22 months on our last trip and she cried at any characters in full costume but was okay w/ people characters like princesses. All kids are different though!! We'll have our 10 month old w/ us this Nov and Im sure she will not even know what is going on! Good luck!!

DD at that age was terrified of the characters the first day. That being said, character meals were the best thing to get her out of her fear! We had a character meal a day planned, and by the third day, Chip and Dale were bouncing her on their knees and she was loving it!!! Just try and be patient and coax her into interacting with the characters if she is scared. The first meal at Crystal Palace, all the pictures have her hiding her face with her little bitty hands. However, we have a few from that one too where she is peeping through the holes of her fingers to look. It will all be magical- enjoy them while they are little...
