Tusker House Character Dining?

Hi. My son wants to eat with Mickey Mouse for his birthday. Back when I made the reservations via wdw-dine, she said the only opening for Mickey Mouse was at Tusker House. She told me MM would be there. Upon reading the WDW book I just received, it is Donald, Goofy and Pluto. I have been telling my 2 year old child for months that he is going to eat with Mickey Mouse on his actual birthday. We have even been seeing others and saying, "Garrett, tell her/him who you are going to eat breakfast with on your birthday...and he smiles so huge and says Mickey Mouse, YEA!" Now after reading that, I have had to prepare him for "Mickey will try to be there...., but he doesn't know for sure." How heartbreaking! Has anyone done the character dining for a breakfast there? PLEASE tell me good news...I sure hope you can tell me MM was there. I don't know what to do....that is all he wanted for his birthday.
We leave in 6 days!

Mickey Mouse is at Tusker House breakfast (no character is ever 100% guaranteed, but he is supposed to be there).

he was there when we went my daughter is also obsessed with mickey mouse and thats all she wanted to see

The current characters (as of 3/21/09) are Donald, Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy.

There is never any guarantee that characters will not change.

We definitely had him there when we went but I think that you did the right thing about preparing him just in case.

when we went last June, we had Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Mickey Mouse. This was one of the best character meals we had. The characters interact a lot with the kids. My DDs got to play some musical instruments and dance with Daisy. They still talk about it all the time!
