My sister and I have a reservation for Tusker House breakfast in June. Do you think we'll feel silly there/out of place as a party of only adults? Anyone have experience at Tusker House with an adults only party?

I’ve done it several times with adults only. It was great fun! The characters were great with us, joking around. Food was good too. We’ve usually done late breakfast to be able to also sample the lunch items.

Me and my husband went alone and it was amazing and great food. Go have a great time!

You'll have a great time. I'm an adult solo traveler and I usually eat there at least once a trip.

My husband and I have been there twice for breakfast and we are going to try dinner in August. The characters are great and I noticed many adult only parties while we were there. Never felt out of place once. Go and enjoy, the food is really good!!

I went with my mom (55+ and 75+) and we had a great time. The characters were so sweet with both of us!

We just made a reservation for Tusker House breakfast and it’ll be just DH and myself. We made a 10:35 reservation to be able to try food from both breakfast and lunch.

We go for breakfast every trip.

That said, if you are averse to loud noise, lots of children, and a little chaos, then ask to sit in the side room that is smaller, and closer to the restroom. The characters make their way over to that side, you won't miss them, and the din is not quite as deafening as in the main room.

Thanks for the tip! I'm a first grade teacher so "loud noise, lots of children, and a little chaos" are a part of my everyday life. :D

To the OP:

One of, if not the, most beautiful thing about WDW, is that regardless of the makeup of the group, you "fit in". The cast members and characters will make it so! It's also nice to watch other families and their little ones enjoy...without the burden of your own lol. While my wife and I have a DD1 now, we were in your shoes 5x over the last decade.

Although not uncommon, you shouldn't ever feel embarrassed or out of place. You and your sister go enjoy the heck out of yourselves!

As others have said adults will fit right in, but if you aren't interested in the characters you may want to consider trying Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge instead if that is convenient for your plans. The food is fairly similar, though Boma has more extensive offerings, and even better a cheaper price tag!

DW and I have done this a number of times. In fact, we have done character breakfasts as an older-adult couple at TH, Cape May, 1900 Park Fare, Trattoria al Forno, ‘Ohana, and Crystal Palace. We enjoy the food and the character experience.

NO WAY. DO IT. One of the best character meals on property IMO. DH & I go to all the character meals and we are two 50-ish adults with no children. We have a blast and the characters are normally very good even to us old farts. LOL Enjoy.

My mom and I did both Tusker House and Akserhus. Both were tons of fun, and in now way did we feel out of place as adults at a character meal. We also got our picture with the Beast at BoG for dinner, and Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy at Epcot, and I did solo pics with Chewie and Kylo Ren at DHS. One of the reasons Walt created Disneyland was so adults could enjoy it too, not just kids, and that has carried over to WDW.
The character interaction at Tusker is pretty good too, but allow at least an hour to see all of them.

My husband and I are in our 40s and we have done TH and 1900 PF just the two of us, not silly at all!

my adult son (24) and I have eaten there many times and have never felt out of place. We usually go in Sept and you would be surprised by how many tables are adults only...go and have a great time. The food is really good!

I'm a 5th grade teacher & have never found Tusker House to be loud or chaotic. I guess my frame of reference as a teacher gives me a different point of view than some others?
