My family (three adults) had lunch at Yak & Yeti on our trip to WDW in October 2011. We'd never been there before and were looking forward to trying a new place. We were on the DxDP, so we had the chance to try several items that we might not have normally ordered.
For out appetizers we selected the Dim Sum basket for two (top) and the pork egg rolls (bottom). The Dim Sum basket was okay, but we probably will not order it again. If you've had Dim Sum before, then many of the items are quite familiar (pork pot stickers, shrimp siu mai, cha su bao, and pork sie mai). Most were smallish and rather bland in flavor. The egg rolls were nice and crispy.
For our entrees we selected the Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp (top), Duck with Anandapur Glaze (middle), and Baby Back Ribs (bottom). All of the entree had good flavor and were cooked well. The duck was the standout. The ribs were fall of the bone tender and had a yummy flavored sauce on them.
For dessert we ordered the Fried Wontons (top), Mango Pie (middle), and sorbet assortment (bottom). The sorbets were light and refreshing. The mango pie was okay, but didn't really wow us (I'm struggling to remember it). We ordered the fried wontons because they are a signature dish for Yak & Yeti, but normally we would not have ordered them because we're not big fans of cream cheese. The pineapple and vanilla ice cream were great, but the wontons tasted like straight cream cheese, so that rules out a repeat order in the future
Overall, we liked Yak & Yeti. The entrees were the best part of the meal. It's nice to have another table service venue inside Animal Kingdom.
