Turtle Talk

FatCow, Hmmm, I'm going to have to study your answer. lol I'm a bit slow in this department. I have 6 days to figure it out before my trip--as much fun as the show was NOT knowing how they did it I'm hoping it will be even more interesting with some understanding of it. I may be asking you more questions--I really need a "Turtle Talk for Dummies" course!

Zippa D Doodah-I'm all teary-eyed now! That is such a sweet story. What a magical moment for your son!!! We will definitely go see Crush! ::yes::

Glad y'all liked the story about out time with Crush. I knew the technology behind the attraction is unlike anything else Disney is doing. LIke a previous poster said, I am sure it would not be as impressive if you sat thru it 5 times. But as you know from my story, what made the attraction had nothing to do with technical stuff and evrything to do with the people using it.

Actually, because I'm a techno geek, I still find it very interesting (that explains the reason I watched it 5 times in a row... even my daughter begged me not to watch it again LOL )

To me, figuring out the techno part is like analysing movie-making dailies. It gives me a much higher level of appreciation. Even moreso to the voice actor.

Why?

Because regardless how much a voice formant plugin can alter your voice, intonation and rhythm (which inject life into the character) can not be computer generated, it can only come from the hgighly disciplined and trained voice actor.

LOL Sorry... :guilty: :)

I also liked your story and things like this is really what sets Disney apart from other vacation destinations! Memories like this will be with you forever.

We just returned and I was not aware of Turle Talk with Crush until I got into the Living Sea. It was just DH and myself, 46 and 43 respectively, and we were both delighted by this show. I know a previous poster said that the cameras can only see the first few rows, but a gentleman behind us, in the second to last row, was picked by Crush to ask a question. Any how, we had a great 6 days at the World, and I would have to say this was in my top 2 of shows that we saw, and we saw alot. If you haven't tried it, it is a do not miss. We also saw Stitch, and this blows it away big time. :cheer2:

Cool, I guess now they've changed the cameras' angles. The CM told me that they only aimed the cameras to the first 2 rows.

This way, more people can interact with Crush. Can't wait to see the other improvements they've done to this attraction.

two years ago Living Seas was a BUST for us.. we live near Mytle Beach SC and have seen a lot of aquariums.. AND the automatic flush toilets in the restrooms created a very startled and WET 3 yr old... who to this day is teased about peeing herself when the toilet flushed on its own... so. WE are looking forward to seeing crush and making some GOOD memories at LS
