So I have just spent three hours reading through your entire report... i should be working (hee) I feel like I have known you forever!! My trip is in 88 days and I have a 4 year old and an 18 month old. I am a crazy planner and cannot tell you how many times I have woken up in the middle of the night and I lay in bed and just imagine waking up for the plane ride- the airport- my kids faces when we first see MK and every other detail you can imagine.... Thank you so much for sharing your story.

Awww, I always hate getting the Magical Express envelope. It's so depressing. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Wow is right! I can't believe you have read the entire thing! Thanks so much. I have kind of poured my heart and soul into this thing, just like I did our trip. Sounds like you and I are in similar boats! Our kids are close in age. Oh how I remember not sleeping. I can totally sympathize with you! Y'all are going to have such a blast! Where are you staying? 88 days will pass before you know it!!! Our mother daughter trip is in 103 days, I think. You should do a Pre Trip Report. I would love to read it. Anywho, thanks again for reading. More to come soon:)

We are staying at POFQ. I am new to this whole thing but have been lurking for about a year. I think I will do a pre trip report- make sure to look for it! We last went when DS was 8 weeks old. Can you believe he is 18 months old and already going again! Lucky boy:-) Thanks again for sharing your story- it really made me feel like I was there enjoying it with you!!

Wow, he is lucky going back so soon. And so are you:thumbsup2 I meant to say earlier that it's amazing how close you can become with people here on the DIS. My friend where's piglet is all the way in New York but is coming in town next week for Mardi Gras. We hope to meet up so we can see each other in person! It's also really neat to have DISmeets at WDW. I was lucky to have 2 while I was there. I hope you decide to do a PTR. I will certainly read along.

Can you believe we have never seen FOTLK. I think you have me convinced to see it on our trip next week. I have been so busy getting ready for the trip. It is nice to take a break and look at your wonderful pictures.

Check out my PTR- i have no clue how to do this. Maybe you can give me some pointers. Its in PTR- "Rumblee in my Tumblee"

FOTLK is our favorite show from all the parks. I hope it holds more magic the next time. I would love to take a mother-daughter trip! Aubrey is so lucky she gets to do this.

So do ya'll have big Mardi Gras plans. Not much for us yet. Two years ago we returned to my heritage and hit the Mamou Mardi Gras. My dad was from there and I still have a lot of family there. Not sure if I want to tackle that again. We may hit some parade in Metarie on the Sunday before.

Have fun!

:wave2: I'm hoping I can meet up too! And we are trying to get coteau_chick to meet up with us too! :cool1:

Well, let's see....I'm only going to things with locals because I really don't have a clue what this whole Mardi Gras thing is about. :lmao: (I mean, I've had "Mardi Gras 101" but never been before!) But I'm planning to go to Caesar, Nemesis, Endymion, and possibly some others. Should be fun....and my friend already told me I can stash the stuff up in her attic with her other beads and misc. throws from the last 3 years. :rotfl:

So um DisneyTiger...I slipped up the other day and said "y'all" again. Got the same reaction AGAIN. I'm laughing though because one of them is going to Atlanta next week. I wonder if she knows that's the south?

WHAAAT??? You must see it on your next trip. It really is an awesome show. Just don't go to the first showing:) I'm glad you are taking a break. Remember how obsessive over planning my trip? I couldn't sleep. It was fun but it's nice to sit back for a bit and not think about things so much! But all of your planning will pay off, I'm sure!

I would love to check out your PTR. There was no link attached to your title though. Do you know how to do that? Or just paste the actual link in a post. I can tell you how to do it if you don't know how. Can't wait to check it out!

We really don't have any MG plans yet. We may go to Spanish Town this weekend but not sure. My in-laws have a hotel room on Bourbon but it's just so much trouble to get down there. Finding a babysitter and all that stuff. We may just stay home!

My best friend's mom is from Mamou. I don't know her maiden name but her married name is Jacqueline LaBat. Maybe you know her?? She's also the disciplinarian at St. Joseph's Academy here in BR.

You're going to have fun. I wish I could just click my heels and be in New Orleans for MG. It's just so hard for us to get down there. I will live vicariously through you.

It's cracking me up that you are saying y'all! I bet everyone loves that up there!

I don't think "loves" is the correct word! :rotfl: And I don't MEAN to say it (usually...sometimes I do it just to be a pain because I know it annoys them! :lmao: )

This was not intended to be a Mardi Gras trip but it just got timed right for that! (It's a reconnaissance trip! SHHHHHH :rolleyes1 )

Pssst....I don't want to spoil the ending, but I think she goes home at the end. ;)

I'm going to go try to find your trip report. Both Disney Tiger and coteau_chick are getting on my case about how long I'm taking to get my TR up. I took a trip in mid-December! I wrote an outline for the TR while on Jury Duty. The OUTLINE for it is 5 notebook pages long. :rolleyes1

It's that Bronx in me ... can't help it sometimes! :lmao: You just lucky I only been up here about 4 years. :rotfl:

Yeah I lost my TR notes...I'm going to look for them tonight, and start uploading the pictures to my computer. My DH had to gut my computer a couple of weeks ago and the WDW trip from December is still on my camera memory cards. I need to clear those out for my trip next week, so I can photograph things like trees and grass and birds and stuff like that.

I did Spanish Town with my daughter one year when she was a Jr in High School. I was the parental escort. It was okay but I don't think I'm going to do that again soon.

I don't know Jacqueline but I do know another teacher there. My maiden name is Landreneau. I like it much better that my married name Massey. It just has more flair.

Endymion is one of my favorites! They usually get really good stars for this one! I hope you have a fab time! We may go to New Orleans the Sunday before. Still haven't decided.

Well, it took me several days of reading when I had a few minutes to myself, but I was able to read your trip report! :thumbsup2 I really loved hearing all about your trip with little ones. We are currently planning our baby girl's first trip for December - she'll be 15 months on the trip. We are also planning on staying at a BWV - it sounds like a great idea to walk thru Epcot for the monorail to the MK - we'll definitely have to keep that in mind! ;)

I'd love to hear more about the campfire at the BC - did you just go the one night? Were they showing a movie in addition to the campfire? :)

My Godparents last name is Massey! Small world!

Hi, thanks so much for reading my report! I'm excited that you're coming along for the ride! I absolutely LOVED the Beach Club:love: Walking to Epcot and the monorail was such a perk. You are going to love it. We did the campfire only one night but it was really fun. We did it our first night there. The other nights, we were just too beat to do it. They were showing a movie the night of the campfire. It was all like out of a movie or something. So surreal. Perfect. That's the best way to describe it. I would recommend if you can, bring your own marshmallows, chocolate, and grahm crackers. They were charging an arm and a leg for them there. But I guess that is the Disney way:rotfl:

Thanks again for reading along:)

Hi everyone. Wow, it's been a long week and a half for me. I started having a really bad cough last week that I thought was going away, but it kept getting worse. I mean, the only way to describe this cough is violent. I really thought my head was going to explode at one point. Anywho, long story short, I finally went to the doctor today and I was diagnosed with, get this, pnemonia!!! I mean, this is just crazy! I really don't feel that bad it's just this cough. I am starting some potent antibiotics tonight so hopefully things will get better soon. I'm still in shock! I was told to take it easy so it's a perfect time for me to catch up on my TR!!! We all win:thumbsup2

Alright, so when I last left you, Aubrey and I were just finishing up attending a not so rousing FOTLK show. We headed out of the auditorium and found Jason and Brendan. Jason looked a little frazzled so we decided to let the kids burn off a little bit of energy in the Bone Yard. This place was so cool. I've never really noticed it before I guess because it kind of looks like a construction area. Let me tell you, we could have stayed in there all day. Here are Brendan and Dad hanging out ...

We spent a good bit of time here and the kids played everywhere. Their favorite spot in the whole place was this small set of slides off to the right when you walk in. Here is Brendan, up the stairs, down the slide. Repeat about 100 times!

And then my little princess in her princess dress. So ladylike!

animalkingdom069.jpg

I was so suprised that she had kept this dress on for so long. After a while, it was time for a potty break so I took Aubrey off to the closest restroom. This would be a perfect time to take off her dress and put on her cute matching red t shirt that I had put so much time and effort into making. Well, she would have no part of it. I stood my ground and got it on her after much bargaining. Oh well, we sure looked cute though didn't we???

By this time, the kids were tired and hungry and so were we. We headed over to Flame Tree for lunch. Jason and I shared the BBQ beef and chicken breast salad. It was really yummy. Aubrey kept trying to feed the ducks even though there are signs everywhere saying "Please don't feed the birds" The couple next to us had small kids and were really fussing at their kids for giving the birds french fries. I have to say, I really didn't care if my kids dropped a fry or two but I felt pressured by the do gooder parents so I took their lead and fussed at my kids too:rolleyes: After they left, I let Aubrey sneak a few fries to a very hungry looking white bird:rolleyes1

It was now time to head back to the hotel. This was it. Our last few moments in the park. I was sad. Jason and I loaded the kids in the stroller and quietly made our way to the front of the park. The kids were falling asleep so we took our time and soaked in our last few minutes. A photopass photograher stopped us and asked if we wanted to take a grown up picture. Why not??

By the time we got to the gates, the kids were out...

Getting two sleeping kids, a stroller and all that goes along with us onto a bus is no easy feat. We did it though. Here we are on the way back to the hotel...
