I am sorry I was MIA this week. I have been sick for ten days with bronchitis. I have been to the doctor three times in a week. I am feeling much better now. I am not all the way back to myself yet but I have made a big improvement. I did read the updates I was just too sick to comment. I love the ice cream pictures.

Uhhh, I am so sorry to hear that. At least you're feeling a little better. I hope you had some help taking care of Grace. There is nothing worse than having to take care of a baby when you feel bad:sick: Hope I could provide some entertainment for you while you were sick. Hope you feel all the way better soon:hug:

Exploring the countries in Epcot is one of my most favorite things to do of all time. Jason and I just love taking in the scenery and trying the different foods and drinks. While we were wandering around, we came across this...

We were so happy to see that our state had been chosen to represented in the food and wine fest! It was so exciting to see vendors from our area. There was a great zydeco band playing. Not in this pic because they were on a break. It felt like we were home!

After hanging out in Louisiana, we headed over to the American Pavillion. They had some sort of homage to pears going on. Random, but cute...

We then were ready to go in and hear one of "must sees" each time we visit Epcot... Voices of Liberty. This is an a capella group that sings classic Americana music. They also do a Christmas show which is AMAZING. Their voices are incredible. The soprano in particular, blows my mind. Some of the notes she hits are just unreal. This video is a little shakey but you have to listen to the whole thing, especially the last note.

They blow my mind each time, and always make me cry. Brendan was much too restless to sit through the whole show so unfortunately Jason had to miss it:sad2: Aubrey, on the other hand, was absolute glued to them for the entire performance. In fact, we went back to see them again later in the trip. I was hoping they would sing Happy Birthday to her, but it didn't happen. I think they ran out of time. It was still amazing. I recommend looking them up on youtube. There are tons of videos. I love them!

I love the pear pictures. We have never got to hear Voices of Liberty. The first time we went Courtney was throwing a fit because she said she was bored and she made us miss it. On our last trip when we got to that part of world showcase we had just missed the last performance of the day by about fifteen minutes.

Oh by the way I didn't have help. My MIL had to work at the courthouse for early voters and my mom was sick too. Faron did let Courtney stay home from school one day to help. I just couldn't go anymore. I had a temp of 101 for six days straight. Thank God Grace wasn't that bad and when Brennan would come home from school he helped me too. I just layed on the couch and didn't get up unless it was very necessary. You don't miss your good health until you loose it for a few days. I am so glad to be getting back to normal.

Bummer that you missed their last performance. You should really check them out next time. The show only lasts about 10 or 15 minutes so it doesn't take up a lot of time!

I can't believe you were that sick. Fever every day??? Wow. At least Grace wasn't too much trouble. I know what you mean about not missing your health until it's gone. And moms don't get to take sick days!!! Glad you're feeling better.

What did you think about the Louisiana pavillion? It was too cool. Guess what they were handing out??? Mardi Gras beads! There was a line a mile long for them. So funny. I did get one eventually for my scrap book. Alrighty, off to post. Have a good day:cutie:

After we left Voices of Liberty, we crossed the street and heard a little bit of the concert going on - Sheena Easton! Blast from the past. The kids were not into sitting still at this moment so we kept moving. We walked through Morocco and saw these guys coming towards us...

disneyday3-2012.jpg

It was probaby not a good idea to point them out to Aubrey because she had been asking to see Aladdin all day. Needless to say, when they walked by without stopping, she was not happy. Aladdin did say hello. He actually said their names since they were on their shirts. She got a kick out of that. I got a kick out of the fact that he sounded exactly like the real Aladdin! It was kinda freaky!

The sun was starting to set and it was almost time for our ADR at San Angel.

disneyday3-2086.jpg

I had been very excited about this dinner because we've never eaten here before. I had heard mixed reviews about the food but the atmosphere was just so beautiful. I was a little leary about this meal though because of what happened the night before at Sci-Fi. The kids hadn't napped and it was well past their dinner time (it was not around 7:30) almost their bed time actually! I was having second thoughts about taking them to a sit down restaurant but Jason was gung ho! We parked the stroller outside the temple and walked up the steps. The kids loved the marketplace. There were tons of things for them to get in to. Yay. Here's a pic. I swear I do not have one non-blurry picture of this place. Oh well...

disneyday3-2088.jpg

We checked in at San Angel and had just enough time to ride the Grand Fiesta Tour. I think that's what it's called right?? It was ok. This is probably my least favorite ride in all of the world. It seems to be a mixture of a few different rides, Maelstrom, IASM, the Land. I don't know. Just kind of seems like an after thought to me. Sorry GFT lovers! When we got off the boat, we still had a few minutes to kill. I saw that there was a pressed penny machine. I showed Aubrey and she really didn't get it. We put the money in and the pressed penny came out. Woo hoo. She didn't care. So this was the only pressed penny experience of the trip! And to think, I scrubbed all those pennies for nothing! Oh well, they're still in their tube so we will have them for our next trip. Now it was time for dinner. Uhhhhh, Aubrey was already acting up. Thankfully, we got a table in the back corner and a were seated by an VERY patient waiter. He could see that I was stressed out and without saying so, I could tell that he was trying to tell me everything was alright and he dealt with this kind of thing all day long! Jason was excited to be there. I was still trying to figure out if we were going to stay or not. He was insistant and ordered me a margarita the size of my head to take the edge off. We each got one actually and they were delicious! Here's Jason with his!

disneyday3-2099.jpg

We ordered our food. I was craving a steak so I got the Filete Motulzeno. Jason got the Filete a los tres chiles. These words mean nothing to me. Thankfully Jason speaks spanish and was able to translate. My steak came sitting on a tortilla and was covered with yumminess. Jason's came sitting on a bed of roasted corn and was covered with chilies. Mine was absolutely delish. His, not so much. It tasted very roasted. Like, it had been hanging over an open campfire for an hour. It wasn't very good but he ate it anyway. We actually shared so he could enjoy mine too.

Here's a pic of his food...
disneyday3-2105.jpg

And mine...
disneyday3-2106.jpg

Mine also came with plantains. Ummmmm, my favorite!!!

Brendan was still sick so he was living on bland foods. He at a bunch of chips which probably wasn't the best thing for him but it was about the only thing that made him happy. He cried a lot, but the margarita was kicking in and I started getting punchy. This was the only thing that would make him stop crying...

disneyday3-2103-1.jpg

Ok, ok. Just kidding. Please don't call CPS on me! I told you the tequilla was kicking in! Aubrey was also acting up. Shocker, I know. She didn't want any real food for dinner. Want to know what she ate????

disneyday3-2107.jpg

Suckers and chips. Yes, mother of the year I know. Hey, you do what you gotta go right???

So dinner was pretty painless. We finished our meals and headed out. Actually, I left before Jason with the kids because they were getting too restless. By this time, it was completely dark outside. The WS is so beautiful at night. I couldn't wait for the kids to see Illuminations. So I loaded them into the stroller and started walking back towards France. We had planned on watching the fireworks from the bridge so we could walk "Home" right after they were done. I saw that all of the other kids had their glow toys out. Well, as we all know from my PTR, I was well prepared for this. I pulled out glow object after glow object for the kids to play with. They loved it but ended up wanting to play with their new glow toys that I had bought earlier in the day. Cool pic...

disneyday3-2120.jpg

I had told Jason to meet me in France but I hadn't even made it out of Mexico yet! I was texting him and found out that he was already almost to France and had passed us right up. Side note... I was going through my text conversations on my phone yesterday, and the texts from Disney are still there! I was reading through all of them and getting a littly teary eyed. I want to go back, now! I will never erase that conversations. Sad, isn't it!

Anyway, Jason had to double back to meet up with us. We met somewhere around Morocco I think. We parked the stroller as the lights dimmed. Jason was holding Brendan while I sat on the ground next to Aubrey. I wasn't able to see Brendan's reactions, but Aubrey's made up for that. She absolutely loved this show!!! I shed my first official tear of the night. I actually watched her more than I watched the fireworks. This was another moment that I will never forget! Here are some pics of her reactions...

disneyday3-2133-1.jpg

She was so excited and it warmed my heart to be sharing this with her. I've mentioned this before but I will share this story again. Our first trip to WDW was in November of 2002, a year after my dad passed away suddenly. When I saw Illuminations for the first time, it was on the anniversary of his death. It was a very emotional moment for me. I don't know how to explain it. This show is an emotional one to begin with, but for some reason, I just felt close to my dad watching all of the beautiful fireworks and hearing the touching music. To this day, it reminds me of my dad. I really believe he is there with me watching it each time. And now I was sharing it with my babies. Double wammy. The tears were a flowin'!

The show ended with a boom, literally!, and we headed back to our room. What a day. It was awesome. The kids were beyond tired and so were we. I couldn't wait to curl up on the couch and relax.

When we got back to the room, I discovered this on the floor...

disneyday3-2138.jpg

What could it be??? My mind started racing! Dream fast passes? An invitation to stay in the castle?? Hey, a girl can dream can't she?? It turned out to be a precious birthday card for Aubrey! It seemed Emily at the front desk had actuallly heard me say that we were celebrating Aubrey's birthday and had this card sent up for us.

disneyday3-2140.jpg

Aubrey was very excited. She hopped on her computer to post it on her blog...

disneyday3-2002.jpg

Hee hee, just kidding. We gave them baths at the speed of light and put Brendan down in his crib. Aubrey had her milk on the couch and fell asleep. This is something that she NEVER does so I knew she must have been exhausted.

We didn't have to wake up super early the next day because the plan was to go to Typhoon Lagoon and it doesn't open until 10:00. I was very excited about this because we had never been there. Everyone got settled in their beds and it was off to sleep.

Up next... TL and a perfect afternoon for mom!

What did you think about the Louisiana pavillion? It was too cool. Guess what they were handing out??? Mardi Gras beads! There was a line a mile long for them. So funny. I did get one eventually for my scrap book. Alrighty, off to post. Have a good day:cutie:

The Louisiana pavilion is cute. I like the boat. I saw one that looked kind of like it...cept the one I saw in New Orleans was a real boat not a fake one LOL. So they were throwing the beads or handing them out? :confused3 I got one strand of beads in New Orleans Square in Disneyland in April. I promptly broke them too....maybe I'm just not a good candidate for Mardi Gras! :rotfl:

I like Voices of Liberty too. They have such good voices and the rotunda has good acoustics which helps too.

Those photos of Aubrey watching Illuminations are great, especially that last one! My family would almost always stay (3 out of 4 trips) at the YC/BC complex when we went to WDW. My dad and I would always go to watch Illuminations together, even if my mom and brother didn't to watch with us. It's like "our thing". Now every time I see Illuminations (I've gone on 3 other WDW trips), I think of my dad! :goodvibes

Great pictures of Aubrey at illuminations. I must have missed the story about your dad because I didn't know that. I am sorry. We have eaten at San Angel twice we liked it. The first time we ate there in 2006 I burned my finger on one of the candels on the table. I ate my entire meal with my finger in my sprite glass.

They were handing out the beads in a very orderly fashion. Nothing like Mardi Gras! Trust me, if you ever make it down for Mardi Gras, you will leave with a ton of beads. It's a blast.

I love Illuminations and sharing it with Aubrey made the top 10 list of my favorite moments from this trip. I think it's neat that you and your dad watch it together on your trips. What special memories. I hope to create the same kind of memories with our kids!

Now that I think about it, I don't think I have told that story about my dad in this report. I think I posted it somewhere else. So you didn't miss it. I love the show. I could watch it over and over. And that song at the end, that just gets me every time!

Ok, I'm laughing out loud right now picturing you with your finger in the sprite:lmao: That's hysterical! Hope it wasn't too bad of an injury!

Like most of you, our family was busy last night celebrating the first Halloween in ages to fall on a Friday night! We had a blast. There were so many people out. My sister lives in a great neighborhood with lots of kids so we always go there to trick or treat. I just had to post some pictures from the evening...

Here is Aubrey and my mom in the car on the way to my sisters. I thought this picture was hilarious. My mom cracks me up...
halloween044.jpg

Here's Aubrey in her costume. She was a witch. She of course would not stand still for me to take her picture so here this is an action shot. I actually caught her mid jump so it looks like she's flying. Just needs her little broom!
halloween056.jpg

Here's Brendan. He was a rock star. His hair naturally stands up so I figured I would gel it up and go with it. Everyone said he looked like Billy Idol.
halloween051.jpg

Check out the crowd. My nephew builds a really cool haunted house every year that draws in tons of people. This year it was extra crazy since it was a Friday night. We probably had close to 500 people come through! This is a shot on the driveway right after trick or treating started!
halloween070.jpg

It was so funny because my sister who shares my same love of Disney came up to me and said she felt like she was in Fantasyland. I laughed because I had just asked Jason "which way to IASM?":lmao: It was crazy!

Here is a cute shot of Aubrey and her cousin. They were matching witches...
halloween077.jpg

Hope everyone had a great night! Now, time to start Christmas shopping:scared1:  :sad2: :scared:

It was so nice to be able to sleep in a bit this morning. We all certainly needed it! We woke up around 8 or 8:30 - no sunrise this morning! We took our time eating breakfast and started to get ready for the day. Here is Brendan being silly with Dad's hat. Too cute...
firstcharactermeal004.jpg

I was so excited to get going because we had never been to either water park. I knew that we weren't going to be able to do much with the kids but I was eager to check out Ketchakiddie Creek. It looked so cool online and I just knew the kids would love it. I was also anxious to check out the lazy river since Brendan seemed to love it at SAB. He was feeling much better today, by the way. Almost back to his normal self. Good and bad. He was now much more, eh, active and acting like your typical 18 mo old boy. Yay. So here is a pic of Jason ready to go!

misc005.jpg

The bus ride was cute. They had the tropical music playing and everyone was in their suits. I was getting really excited. We pull up to the park and got off the bus. It was so weird to be in a new park. I am so used to being on auto pilot and walking straight to where we need to go. This time, we actually had to stop and read signs to see where we needed to go. It was exciting. Sometimes I wish I could erase my memory so I could have the 1st park experience over and over again!

So we had arrived...
misc010.jpg

misc009.jpg

It was a pretty overcast day which was good. I didn't feel like being in the hot sun and it felt great outside. We walked into the park and I noticed that Jason had on his tennis shoes:confused3 He informed me that he had forgotten to pack flip flops. We passed a croc stand and he looked like he wanted to buy a pair. Jason never wants to buy anything, ever! He picked out a brown pair and I kind of cringed when they rang up for $40!!! Oh well, he's worth it I suppose:laughing: As we headed into the park, I stopped to snap a few pics. I didn't take a lot of picures here because I didn't want the camera to get wet. I figured there would be photopass people around and since I had pre-paid for the CD, I would be set. Right?? Not so, more on that later. Here are a few pics...

misc006.jpg

misc008.jpg

We needed to rent a locker and get some towels so I headed over to the rental counter. Much to my dismay, the CM's working there did not have the magical attitude that is expeced from Disney employees. As I have mentioned, I had never been to this park before and did not know how it all worked. I needed to rent a locker and there were aparantly two different sizes. Asking the CM to describe the sizes of the lockers was like asking for her first born. So sorry to disturb you locker rental lady. I moved onto the guy who rented towels. $6 a towel!!! Our total for the locker and 2 towels was $16!! What!!! Ok, whatever. Then I asked for life jackets for the kids. Another outlandish request. I wasn't sure what size to get the kids so again, I had to ask:scared1: Oh well, we got what we needed and was on our way. We loaded all of our stuff in the locker but decided to keep the stroller with us. There was a lot of walking to do and I was not in the mood to carry the kids. I handed Jason the key to the locker and we were off. Trusting Jason with the key later turned out to not be the best plan:scared:

We found our way to Ketchakiddie creek and it was just as cute as it looked online. The water, however, was frigid!!!!! Aubrey and her dad are not fans of cold water. Jason would swim in a giant bathtub filled with hot water if he could. I and Brendan, on the other hand, didn't mind. We had a blast playing in all of the fountains. Jason looked miserable. He was freezing and Aubrey was not having fun either. This was not looking good. They looked so cute though playing in their bathing suits. If only I had my camera! Ah ha! I spotted a photopass guy! There were not a lot of people there so I hoped he could spend some time with us and take some pics. We struck up a conversation with him. He was very friendly but there was one problem, he would not take any pictures!!! Was this something I had to ask for? I mean, he's there with a waterproof camera and I'm pretty sure taking pictures was his only purpose of being there, right? I was hinting around saying that the kids looked so cute and I how that would be a neat picture. Nothing got through to this guy. So I finally just asked. He said that he wasn't taking pictures of them because they looked fussy. I informed him that I had pre-paid for the CD so it wasn't a big deal if he took some shots that didn't come out very well. I just wanted something of them! Here's what we got...

image75.jpg

image74.jpg

Annie Leibovitz he was not. I mean, really. These are the only photopass pics that I have from TL. After he took these two award winning shots, Brendan fell and scraped his toe and started crying. Photopass guy actually looked at me and said "See, they're fussy." Uhhh, I was so aggrevated. Didn't he realize t hat you kind of just have to roll with the punches here. It's not like we were going to be coming back next week and we could get better pics then. This was it. Oh well, I was over it. Now that Brendan had hurt his toe, he was done too. We decided to head over to the lazy river and relax. Yeah right. We managed to load ourselves onto a double float but the kids were not having it. Brendan cried the entire time. We got off halfway around, which put us on the opposite side of the park from our stroller:scared1: Just an FYI, TL is filled with bridges and stairs so it is not stroller friendly at all. It also does not make carrying two 35lb wet kids easy. We finally made it back to the stroller and it was time for lunch.

We walked over to Leaning Palms and ordered our food. Jason got a hawiian pizza, I got a hamburger and fries, and Aubrey and Brendan shared a hotdog. The food was pretty bad. First of all, it was soggy. Literally. The tray must have had some water on it or something because the food was wet. My hamburger was not good. It tasted like it had been sitting out for hours and it was only 11:30! Oh well. I ate it because I was starving. After we finished our food, we decided that our short trip to TL was now over. The kids were tired and it was nap time. We made it back to our locker and I asked Jason for the key. He then gave me that deer in headlights look and I realized he had no clue where it was. Nice. He went to get a CM and a few minutes later he returned with 3 CM's!!! Aparantly, losing you locker key was a big deal. There needed to be a CM there and a manager and a CM to be a witness. :confused3 They asked if I had anything in the locker with my name on it that would prove these were my things. The only thing I had in there was my phone with a picture of Aubrey as the screensaver. Her blankey was also in there. As soon as they opened it up, she screamed "Blankey" and snatched it up. If that wasn't a positive ID I don't know what else they needed:laughing: They were very nice about it and sent us on our way. We did, however, not get our deposit back for the locker since we lost the key:headache:

So that was our TL adventure. It wasn't quite as magical as I had hoped but oh well. All in all, I had a good time.

Up next, nap time for the kids and fun time for mom!

Hi Talissa! Happy Belated Halloween! I'm glad to see y'all had a great time last night. Love the kids' costumes! I am saving your TL update for later when we come back after Jake's Bday Party at LaserZone. :goodvibes

Yeah...the Sprite story had me giggling a bit too...I can just picture your finger in that sticky stuff all night!

I'm still trying to figure out plane tickets and stuff for Mardi Gras. We have the week before off in 2009 but in 2010 President's Day is the day before Mardi Gras. (Thank you to the plastic cup with the Mardi Gras dates on it...)

I like your Halloween pictures. I had no trick or treaters. This is my 4th Halloween here and I've had a grand total of 0 over 4 years.

I also like your Typhoon photos. I haven't been there since 1992! Maybe it's about time to go back!

I have a Laser Tag party to go to tomorrow! I actually love those parties. They let the adults play for free. It's fun!

Happy Halloween to you too. Hope y'all had a good night!

I hope it works out that you can plan a trip down for MG. Too funny about the dates on the cup! They do come in handy! And you'd think they were made of solid gold the way people fight for them at parades!

Bummer that you had no trick or treaters. We certainly could have spared some!

Yes, yes. Definitely time to go back:thumbsup2

Ok, I just had to hop online and do a quick post because I just did something very naughty.

Jen - this is all your fault!!!

Ok, so my great DIS friend Jen aka Jake&SamsMom planted this seed in my head and it has been growing like a weed over the last week or so. See, Jen is a PT and recently went to a course in Orlando and of course visited Disney while she was there. Well, Jason is a PT also and needs 4 more hours this year to renew his PT license. I asked Jen to send me the info on courses that are offered in Orlando. She sent me the website and lo and behold, there is one on Friday, Dec 19th. Want to know what that date is??? Ummm, my birthday!!! So yes, the wheels starting turning and I actually told Jason what I was thinking. He didn't say no. Actually, his face lit up in a way that made me want to go more than ever!

So fastforward to last night. I was sitting around having some drinks with my sisters and jokingly asked if any of them would be interested in watching our kids for my birthday weekend. One of them, without hesitating, said she would do it! Woo hoo!

So wanna know what I just did??? I made an ADR at Jiko for my birthday! I mean, nothing is set in stone at this point but I've always wanted to eat there and figured I needed to get on the books if this were to actually happen. IF we do go, we would drive:scared: but I think it would be fun to have some alone time with DH. I don't know if any of this is going to happen but I just had to share the possibility with my friends who would so understand how exciting even the tought of a spontaneous trip to Disney would be. Thanks for indulging me and I will keep y'all posted:)

Awww, great costumes!! Those witch dresses are adorable.

I am sorry Typhoon Lagoon didn't turn out as you expected it to. I wasn't great for us either. Grace was too cold to go in the water. I can't believe the photopass guy didn't take more pictures. Maybe when your kids are older they will like it better. I don't think we will go back next time.

I hope you get to spend the weekend at Disney for your birthday. That would be so cool. I haven't been around much because I still don't feel better. I hope I am not having a relaps. I enjoyed the update. Thanks.

I hope it works out that you can plan a trip down for MG. Too funny about the dates on the cup! They do come in handy! And you'd think they were made of solid gold the way people fight for them at parades!

Yes, yes. Definitely time to go back:thumbsup2

Somehow I missed your 2nd update...I must have been typing my reply when you were doing the 2nd TL post. Bummer that it wasn't as great as you were hoping. Good thing the Beach Club has a great pool!

Yeah the cup is sitting here. I have about 15 and I didn't have to fight for them. My friends were like TAKE SOME. TAKE MORE! TAKE ALL YOU WANT!! :rotfl: I went through all of them to pick my favorites.

That'd be cool if you got to go to WDW on your birthday! I'll be in WDW the 12-14th of December and I'm really looking forward to it, even though it's a SHORT trip! I'm staying at the Fake French Quarter, er, Port Orleans French Quarter....and friends from all over the country are meeting up in the parks...I can't wait!

A couple of weeks ago I told you I was going to post a picture of Courtney all dressed up for homecoming. I am late with the pictures because I was sick but here they are.

I forgot to tell you that Courtney had trouble pinning Lance's flower so I decided to help her. I snapped the rose right off. Courtney was so mad at me. I tried to hot glue the flower back together but it didn't work. Faron fixed it with a long straight pin.
