Turning 30?!?! Of course we're going to Disney!!! Update 6/26

Great Update! DH was reading and looking along and I was commenting how nice the pictures were, and you have the camera I was looking at. He just keeps saying... "yeah, but she didn't drop hers in the sand while stalking a wedding." Then I'd go to say one more thing, and he'd repeat himself--and that's the only phrase he's used in the past 5 minutes. Wahhh--the new camera is due in the mail tomorrow (RIP Canon SD1400IS). Someday I'll have a fancy cam. Until then--I'll live thru your pictures!! Keep them coming!!

-So for some reason, that picture of the giraffe thing made me laugh out loud. I think I’m suffering from exhaustion.
-Bah!! How old were they? A lot of old ladies just do what they want.
-I love the Boardwalk at night. Sigh.

We noticed that Kory's shirt was a little more blue than my dress, my dress was greener, but in the picture you can't really tell. I can't wait to see more. Ooh...wedding crasher...I like it! He said no because he didn't want a rehearsal on property and that it was too expensive for his parents. But Bahama Breeze didn't turn out to be any cheaper and I wanted everything to be Disney..boo!

It's not noticeable enough to matter IMO. Yall still looked amazing. I keep checking Regina's FB for more pic updates!

I do remember you posting about that in your PJ/TR. I tend to be forgetful sometimes. You just have to remind me.

Thanks! LOL!! That sounds exactly like something Charley would do and say! I just wish I could learn how to use the damn thing properly!! :rotfl2: We don't have the little classes and stuff like that around here. Until then, internet research it is!

Are you doing a TR for the new trip??

-That pic was from the Chimpanzee movie display thingy... You know!
-How old was the couple that happened to be stealing plant life from Epcot?? They appeared to be in their late 50's maybe? I'm a terrible at judging someone's age.
-I know!! That's why I'm so mad that we didn't get a wedding pic there... even though we were married at 10am, I wanted that damn pic at night! LOL

5-6-12

"Oh Jennifer...why do you make early reservations on vacation??!!"

I don't know people! Sometimes I don't use the good sense that God gave me!!

Our breakfast reservations were around 8:30am at 1900 Park Fare. I know, I know. You're saying "Another character meal.. didn't you just turn 30??" Yes. Yes, I did. And your point is???

You would assume that the early return to the room the night before made it a lot easier to get out of the bed. This was soooo not the case here. It's quite possible that I stayed up again playing on the Kindle. In my defense, my Disbride friends are just so awesome, I can't stop talking to them!! ;) Charley, of course, was asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. What is it about guys that enables them to do this??? Or is it just my husband?! Anyway, I dragged myself out of the bed and into the shower. Charley... slept more.. Unfortunately I forgot to take something in the bathroom with me, and he had to get up to bring it to me. Oops??

Eventually we were both showered and dressed. We grabbed our mugs and took off! Then I turned right back around and went back to the room. You can't forget the camera when you're going to a character breakfast! DUH!! We refilled the mugs and made our way to the Grand Floridian.

The Grand Floridian isn't my favorite resort in Disney, but it's gorgeous. It seems to grow on us more and more, each time we go. We were early, so much so that restaurant wasn't open yet. We went upstairs and circled around. We circled around downstairs. Then it was time to check in. Woohoo!!

We were seated in the main dining room, at a small 2 seated table. Blah! The CM was there right away to pour our juice. Nice! She wished me a Happy Birthday and told us to hit the buffet. You don't have to tell me twice! As soon as we made it back to the table, she was back with a little present.
815.jpg

It's sooo pretty! (like they don't all look the same!) I put it to the side, so I could enjoy the real food! I LOVE breakfast food. Charley isn't as big of a fan as I am, but he tolerates it for me. Everyone should be super duper proud of me, because I took a pic of my plate. AND it was BEFORE I had taken a bite out of ANYTHING!! (If you read my wedding/HM TR, you know what I'm talking about!)

In all it's glory!
817.jpg

Here's Charley with his plate.
818.jpg

Man, that sure makes me hungry right now!!! We ate as the characters made their rounds. First up was Charley's old pal Tigger!

Apparently he forgot about their love affair, because he was barely touching him!
823.jpg

And because Tigger loves me
824.jpg

And because my husband sometimes thinks I'm just holding the camera..
828.jpg
830.jpg

The characters were taking forever to come around. Charley and I were both done eating, and Tigger was the only pic we had gotten. I told Charley I wasn't about to leave without pics with EVERYBODY! I'm 30 and depressed. Give me my pics! LOL

While we were waiting for the next arrival, I took pics of my cupcake. I won't bore you with all of them.
833.jpg

Pooh finally decided he was ready to have his pic taken with me. We sort of clashed with each other.. but it's alright.
834.jpg

I'm pretty sure he's trying to ask me something hear.. I just don't speak Pooh bear.
838.jpg

I thought this pic was funny. The guy in the background looks quite surprised.
839.jpg

And just because Pooh likes having his pic taken..
842.jpg

I figured now would be a good time to eat my cupcake.
850.jpg

No, it doesn't taste bad. I was making faces at Charley, and he seems to be able to time a crappy pic!

"AHHHH, Don't bite my ears off!!"
855.jpg

And for some reason, Tigger kept hopping all over the place! He was being hilarious and running all over the place. The restaurant was in between seating people, so there were lots of empty tables. I guess they were just hanging out.
868.jpg

Charley was trying to settle the check, but Tigger needed to borrow some money!

And then I saw something I thought Charley would be very interested in! I told him to turn around, and he was greeted by this..
870.jpg

I'm such a good wife!!!

Continuing in new post..

5-6-12 (cont)

Up next, Charley's favorite, Mary Poppins!! Little did we know, it was scary eyes Mary!! AAAHHHH
874.jpg

878.jpg

I don't know if you can tell from the pics, but she had really scary eyes. She looked surprised the WHOLE time. Creepy!

Here she is creeping through the bushes!
862.jpg

Not long after, Alice arrived. I love Alice!
883.jpg

And she's even taller than I am!
888.jpg

And then the Mad Hatter made it around. I will say, we've had better looking Mad Hatters than this one. No offense..
894.jpg

895.jpg

We finally had all of our character pics! Since Charley had already taken care of the bill, we were on our way!

The pretty chandelier and a pretty bride!
900.jpg
901.jpg

At this point, we had to walk back to the parking lot. By nature, I stay cold. STAY COLD! That's why you see me wearing jeans at 1900 PF. I may, or may not have changed in the parking lot of the Grand Floridian. Don't judge me. There were NO kids in sight, and I stayed in the car. I'm glad I did this though. It was scorching already!!

We made our way back inside and upstairs to the monorail. We were off to Magic Kingdom!! Yay!!!

Finally!!
902.jpg

We strutted our stuff down Main Street. Can I just point out that giant eyesore that houses the entrance to the bakery? It blocked my view, and I didn't like it. lol
903.jpg

We walked around some, riding the things we wanted to ride. (I say this now, because I can't remember what we did! There's a huge gap in the times on my pics.. alien abduction??)

One of the goals for Magic Kingdom was a Disbride meet up. We were pretty much wasting time until we had to head over to Aloha Isle. I know at some point we grabbed fast passes for Space Mountain. The wait was too long for me. I start to freak out if I'm in those lines too long. My panic attacks set in, and I don't want to look like a looney hyperventilating! LOL

I took a few pics while we were walking around doing so much fun stuff, that I can't even remember it!

Because you can never have too many pics of a sign.
904.jpg

I know I'm not the only one who takes a memory card full of pics of just the castle.. (not really, but it seems that way sometimes.)
905.jpg
907.jpg

Charley told me to take one facing back up Main Street. I don't really think I was able to capture whatever it was he wanted me to capture...
910.jpg

By now, it was almost time for our meet up!! I was starting to get nervous. I'm a very outgoing person. Sometimes a little too much. I just have a hard time with new people at first. Either I don't say anything, or I don't shut up. There's not really a happy medium.

As we were walking along, I noticed a bride and groom with their 'Just Married' buttons on. Since I loved being congratulated on our honeymoon, I returned the favor to this lovely couple. Charley and I kept going on our merry way... Something just didn't seem right though. This random bride looked too familiar to be random. I turned around about the same time she turned around. We looked at each other, and we both had that look when you realize you actually recognize someone. We sort of fumbled for a minute and made intros. It was one of my Disbride pals Kristen and her new husband Doug. So together, we headed over to meet the rest of the girls.

It didn't take long for them to start trickling in. We all stood around chatting in the heat. We were having a dole whip meet up, and I think 2 of the girls bought dole whips! lol I STILL haven't had one. One day I'll remember. Just like the Mickey pretzel.

Morgan had to leave for her wedding rehearsal, so we had the guys take a few pics of us all together.
912.jpg
926.jpg
940.jpg

I guess nobody thought to tell me to take off those gigantic ears, so I wouldn't block people! You can't even see poor Deena's head in most of the pics! Sorry Deena!!!! You should've slapped those ears off my head! LOL!

We were hot and tired of standing, so Sarah led us to Tortuga Tavern. By some small miracle we were able to get enough tables to fit everyone. We sat around chatting about what else.. WEDDING STUFF!! LOL! I chatted with Andrea about our next meet up at the end of the month. We were excited about that one as well. All in all, I think we hung out a little over an hour. Everyone said their goodbyes and scattered.

Charley and I made our way over to Space Mountain. Those fast passes were burning a hole in our pockets!

As we were walking, I took this pic of Kristen and Doug
948.jpg

Snapping away as go..
949.jpg

I'm coming Space Mountain!
950.jpg

951.jpg

The ride was awesome, as it usually is. It was soooooooooo hot, and we were sooooooooo tired. We decided to head back to the room and nap for a while. Magic Kingdom had EMH later that night, and we were going to attempt to stay late.

We monorailed it back to the GF and jumped in our hot car. On the way back to the room, we refilled our mugs. Pomegranate lemonade.. gotta love it!!

Unlike the other times we rested.. I actually rested this time. I was really tired from walking in that heat, and it's something I'm used to living in So. GA!

Up next: EMH? I know we can make it past 10pm.

Sorry if some of the pics are huge.. I promise I resized!

* One thing I didn't do on our honeymoon was any early morning breakfasts. I don't think DH would've been happy with that! We did 1900 park fare breakfast too, but it was at 10:45 ;)
* I love Tigger! The pictures of him are so funny! When we ate there he was miming to us something, and we finally figured out he was trying to tell us that he had cooked all the food himself! Haha!
* Wow, that really is scary eyes Mary. Super creepy! The one of her through the bushes is freaking me out!
* Alice is super sweet. I've never been a huge fan of the movie, but all the Alices we've met in Disney have always been really nice.
* I like that picture of the Sir Mickey's sign! It's a cute shop.
* So sorry to hear you deal with panic attacks. I've started having them too occasionally, but luckily haven't at Disney.
* Awesome DisBrides meet up! I can't wait to meet you and many of the others! I tend to be a little quiet at first too when I meet someone for the first time, so I'll have to come out of my shell!

~I'm older than you by a little bit and still love the character pics, so it's all good!
~That Mary Poppins was scary!
~ I thought they always had the same characters for breakfast, but I guess not! We had Tigger, Piglet, Mary Poppins, Alice, and Belle. I was hoping for Cinderella's stepmother and sisters but I was happy about Belle (although I didn't think she was a good one)
~And I'm always freeezing too! Yesterday with Kory's family, I wore shorts at Epcot. Then we went to dinner at Whispering Canyon and I brought jeans to change into in the car after everyone left too!
~Yay for Disbride meet up!

-We had a few early reservations for our honeymoon last year, but we're used to getting up at 4:15am. Being able to sleep in until 8 or 9am was awesome!! lol
-Tigger was CRAZY!!
-I seriously didn't want to take a pic with scary eyes Mary. I didn't want to offend her though...
-I've always been a big fan of Alice... more so the Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter! FYI: this was the same Alice we saw at 1900 Park Fare while on our honeymoon. I thought it was her, but I wasn't sure. I checked our pics when we got home, and it was her.
-Thanks. I hope you're dealing with them ok. Panic attacks really suck! I've gotten a lot better at dealing with them though. Quiet spaces and deep breathing usually help me.
-I can't wait for Feb! It's going to be so much fun!! I think I'll be shy too. We have a lot of girls that will be attending!

-My sister is the same age as you. :)
-Yes scary Mary!
-We've never seen Belle there. (we've been twice. lol) I think the stepmothers and sisters are there at night.
-haha!! Well I won't be the only one freezing then! When we were there last Christmas, I was soooo cold!!
-Yay! Can't wait for another one!

UGH! I told yall my memory is horrible. I really should refer back to my timeline on Facebook. It really does help remember where we went and when! I guess Timeline is good for something!

While at MK earlier in the day, we rode a few more rides that I forgot about. We rode Buzz Lightyear. Normally I suck and never win. Weeeeeelllllll....
Buzz.jpg

Heck yeah!! I was so proud of myself!! I can't believe I almost left that out!

We also went to Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor. I LOVE Monsters Inc. I used to babysit my nieces YEARS ago. They watched it so much that their movie started dragging, and my sis had to get them another one.

We went on PeopleMover. It was very relaxing and nice to take a break from walking around.
PeopleMover.jpg

We rode Space Mountain before we left the park to go nap at the resort. I really, really, really LOVE Space Mountain. It was as awesome as it normally is.

According to Facebook Timeline (LOL!), we were back at the resort at 5pm.

Soooo... back to getting ready for Magic Kingdom-EMH!

I really need to finish this TR. We're leaving for Orlando Sat. morning, so I'm waaaayyyy behind!

So we were at Pop hanging out and napping and hanging out. Nothing too dramatic or interesting. We didn't want to get to the MK too early. We were trying to give the crowds some time to clear out. I started to get antsy, so we decided to get ready and head on over there.

We ended up making it to the park before the fireworks. We went straight to Space Mountain for FPs. I'm pretty sure we ate at Cosmic Ray's after that. I love the BBQ sandwiches there.

We decided to stop on the bridge going into Tomorrowland to watch the fireworks. Well, I ended up getting pissed because tall people kept stepping in front of me.. so I stormed off!! haha I'm 4'10.5", so everybody's tall to me! We ended up back by Cosmic Ray's, and we stood there watching the rest of the fireworks.

After the fireworks, we went to ride Space Mountain! WOOHOO!!!
SpaceMountain.jpg

I wanted to ride the tea cups, so we went there next.

MadHatterJennifer.jpg

We could tell when we stepped off our saucer that we wouldn't make it until closing! We walked around a for a little bit longer. I really wanted to stay later, since it was our last night.. I just couldn't do it though. Charley would've stayed until 6am if I had asked him to. He's awesome like that! :)

We said our goodbyes to the castle. We knew we would be returning for Memorial weekend, but it doesn't make leaving any easier. We made it to the car, and then we were back at the Pop. Charley went to sleep immediately, and I FBed and watched tv for a bit. We had to get up early for EMH at AK! Yay animals!!

6-7-12

Today was our last day at Disney. BOO!! It makes me soooo sad to leave. We wanted to make the most out of the day, but we still wanted to be on the road at a decent time. We got up early, so we could go to AK for EMH. I think it was around 6am.

We both showered and dressed, but we took our time. We filled our mugs on the way out and made our way to AK.

I LOVE the animals!! I know a lot of people don't care for this park (Jackie.. Andrea), but I love it. Yes, it's hot and muggy... BUT did you see the animals!?!?!

962.jpg

Naturally, I wanted to get on one of the first safaris. We weren't too far behind that first one. We were going to get a FP, but the wait time said 10 mins. Of course the park just opened, so that definitely wasn't accurate. Our driver was ok. I'm pretty sure it was a female, but I can't really remember. I should just take pics of them on my into the jeep or getting out of the jeep.

So the following is just going to be pics from the safari. I always take hundreds and hundreds of the same stuff... just like everybody else does.

963.jpg

965.jpg

We love going to AK first thing in the morning. It's not as muggy and more of the animals are usually out on the safari!!!

So the following pics are from a sequence I took of the rhino running towards the water. Apparently he was very thirsty.

As you can see, I love taking pics while on the safari. Aaaannnnddd since nobody is really reading this, I can post all the pics I want. So it's really a win-win situation for me.

More pics to come.

Hey I'm reading!!

I have a TON of AK pix. Same animals, and more and more pictures. It never gets old. The fireworks pix came out well--very nice!

It is crazy hot at AK--and lots of walking, especially uphill. I didn't go at all last week... but don't tell Lilly the gorilla... she'll think I don't love her anymore!! I just didn't want to walk in the rain!!

I am reading, too!! I know, I really should comment more, call me l-a-z-y!

Your pictures are ALWAYS beautiful!!

DH and I love the safari in AK! Another favorite in the AK is Mt. Everest!! Last year we rode it 4 times in about a half hour!

Have fun in Disney this weekend!

I am going to attempt to send you a message, I have a question for you.

I'm reading as well!! And I'm also a huge lover of both AK and the safari. I love taking tons of animal pics! Yours come out so good!

I'm back and reading! Oh, and while we were in Colorado, we saw some animals that looked like the antelope one that you posted above. And I asked if it was the same kind like in the Animal Kingdom and I got laughed at! Hmph! They looked the same to me!

-No, Chris falls asleep super quickly too. Actually, he’s asleep now. So is Smokey!
-Mmmm I want a cupcake. I don’t even like those cupcakes but I want one.
-Charley’s hand looks all dainty in that pic.
-LOL!!! MORE BUTT PICS
-Mary is terrifying me.
-OMG MARY IN THE BUSHES IS EVEN SCARIER
-That picture of the clock on the castle is really good, honey boo!
-Holy awkward Kristen moment, Batman
-You and Andrea were mostly just excited to meet me.
-Fun Fact: Detroit has a Peoplemover. Did you know that?
-If I ever stay AKL-Concierge on my points, I am going to bring you on the Sunrise Safari and you will love me forever.

YOU’RE SOOOO CLOSE TO FINISHING!!!
