Turning 3 at Sea????????

I am thinking about taking a Disney cruise for my DD 3rd Birthday. We are thinking about 3land/4sea she would turn 3 at sea. Will I have to pay for her? I really don't want to have to pay for park passes when she should be free. Would she be allowed to take part in the onboard activities if she isn't 3 until the last day? Please help.

that pricing depends on the age of the child on the first day of your trip. So, if she is two at the start of your trip, she's "two" for the entire trip, even if you make a big deal about her 3rd b-day party.

I know that if you book a WDW vacation and she's turns three while you're there, she won't be charged. I'm not sure how it works with a land/sea but it'll probably work the same way.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'onboard activities'. If she's potty trained, she should be able to use the Oceaneer's Club - usually they are flexible if the child is within one month of their birthday.

Is the fare for a cruise different for a child over 3 than under 3?

There is no fare for children under 3, but you still have to pay port charges.

I was talking about the Oceaneer's Club because on Disney web site they say 3 and potty trained. We will be travelling with an older child and my DD would be dissappointed if she couldn't go to the OC too.

We did this with our daughter. You do not have to pay anything but port charges. We were able to get our daughter into OC, but they do it on a "trial" basis. I don't know what the trial was, but she was able to participate the entire week. You are not guaranteed a spot in the OC in this situation. That being said, Disney usually does all they can to accommodate you, so I would not be too worried. Also, don't try and sneak her in as a three year old, they will know when her birthday is.
