TURNED 30 AT THE WORLD!!Our 10 night/11 day trip w/ lots of Pics!*COMPLETE 8/11**

Day 8 Part 1

Today started off like any other day…. With a little slower going in the morning since we had a light plan for today…. We’d done what we really wanted to do on other days…. Just needed some Thrill… and Bugs!

We drove over to Animal Kingdom… as we had been doing for quite a few days… driving to the parks that is…

Parked in a decent spot… walked to the park… tram seemed as it would take longer so what the heck… and we were right… we got there before it did…

The usual stuff getting into the parks… sorry to be so boring… but we were late… no rope drop… no rushing the crowds… just a leisurely walk to “It’s tough to be a bug” We parked the stroller… DH carried Ry while I held Mini’s hand walking thru to get to the theatre… I swear it didn’t seem like such a walk the year before… maybe because we were stuck in line forever so we didn’t notice?? Thanks to DIS and TGM I knew best when to go to not wait this time!!

We got to the theatre and only had to wait about 5 minutes before we were let into the show…. Quite a crowd had gathered behind us… but not much of one…. We let a lot go past us… so we could get a middle seat… and it worked… YIPEE!

The show was wonderful as always…. Minus a really not so nice smelling bug… but other than that it was wonderful… and Air Conditioned… which is very nice … especially at Animal Kingdom!!!

After our jaunt at ITTBAB we headed over to EE so DH and Forest could ride it again….and they did… pretty quick this time….

The babies and I held back in Dinoland and walked around while we waited for them… it was pretty quick so we were not even in Dino long enough to do much… which wasn’t a big deal for me…. Games to expensive for toys we didn’t really want… and rides ones the babies could really go on just yet…


Lets get t he heck out of here!!! And out of this park too!!! We are Coloradans dang it… it’s too hot at Animal Kingdom for us!!

So we left…. Got to the Van… turned the AC on high… and drove back to Pop Century!!

Day 8 Part 2

With our quick morning at Animal Kingdom under our belts we decided we should get our cheap souvenir shopping done.. so we went to a shop we had found the past year… on the strip… to pick up some cheap stuff… not necessarily Disney… but stuff none the less…. DH got some bandana thingies for his head and a muscle shirt… I got 2 muscle shirts… Forest got a shirt or something and we got some souvies for family and friends that we didn’t see anything we’d like for them in the parks…

After we paid for our “loot” and returned to the van we decided to head back to the hotel for some rest… .we’d be doing Fantasmic later this evening so we wanted to be sure the babies didn’t fall asleep before it started….

As I recall DH and Forest went to the arcade while I hung out in the room and watched soaps while the babies slept…. Mini in the stroller…. Ry in his portable swing we’d brought him…. I never did mention that did I? Well we had this cool little swing that would fold dang near flat that we’d decided to bring just in case… turned out to be a godsend because Ry didn’t like sleeping in the crib with others awake… but the swing would put him out instantly… That’s where he spent his nights for the most part…. And naps too….

Feeling completely refreshed… we headed off…in the van of course… to MGM…

We got a decent spot so we decided no tram needed and walked up to the entrance area… bags got checked… family waited for me to get this done…. We all went in… cards handed back to me once everyone thru…. And we made our way…. DH ran off to get some FP for RnR for after our dinner… while the rest of us walked… All the way to the back of the park… to Mama Melrose… they said our whole party had to be there for us to check in… so we waited… not long… but waited…. Till DH arrived…. And we were seated… all the way in the back of the restaurant…


Service there was mediocre at best… our waiter took forever to bring us anything and it seemed like the dinner lasted forever!! I wasn’t too pleased with the food… everything tasted slightly burnt to me… so I didn’t eat all of my food… and marked it off of the must do list for future trips…

After the not so yummy dinner we headed off to Star Tours… our favorite ride… DH and Forest went first… they were pretty quick…. Then Forest and I went while DH said he’d make his way to RnR and wait for us there….

For whatever reason our ride seemed to take a bit longer…. And then Forest wanted to spend some of his Disney dollars that he’d gotten before the trip… and he took forever!!! I don’t even remember now what he got…

By the time we had made our way over to RnR DH was none to happy that it took us so long…. I didn’t hesitate at all in pointing the finger at the culprit…. DH wasn’t really shocked once I explained that Forest was “shopping” because he always takes forever when it is “his” money.

Since we’d taken so long DH took many pictures of mini while he waited…. Here she is “striking a pose”

I took a few more while we waited but that was the best of all...

Now it was my turn… to ride my favorite ride … for the 2nd time this trip I believe… Forest and I had a blast as always… DH had come into the dump shop to look around while he waited… so I took the opportunity to purchase a Mickey beanie to match the Minnie I’d gotten the year before… DS purchased a hat while we were there…. Then it was time to do another MGM favorite of ours…

ToT!!! We love us some Tower of Terror!! DH went first… as we would always do… we take turns… we’re fair and plus the previous time we were there he’d lost his chance because it closed just after Forest and I boarded...

They had a great time and said their picture was really funny… but no redneck photos… sorry… didn’t know about them until after I’d read many TR this year… after the trip.

DS an I then went on… in a rush because it was time for us to return to the Fantasmic Dinner Package entrance so we could sit in our “reserved” seats….

We had a blast on ToT and we hurried to meet up with DH so we could get some good seats…

Once we made our way to the entrance… which is near the entrance to the park… gave them our “ticket” and made our way all the way up the path to get to the arena… after parking the stroller about half way up… we found enough seats for us… in the 2nd row!! Wickid!

Now we wait… and wait… and wait…

Those who have done Fantasmic know what I’m talking about…. So we took some pictures…

Once the show began… DH took the pictures while I sat back holding Ry… and just took it all in…

When all was said and done… we went out the way we’d come in…. and made our way quickly to the van… and got out of dodge before the place got clogged by the masses!!

Off to PC… for some sleep… Arcade and swim for the boys of course… but I wasn’t awake so who knows for sure

Day 9 Part 1

Mini and I are on a mission!!! We want to get to MGM as close to opening as we can... why?? Because my beautiful Mini is a Doodlebop fan!! In the biggest sense of the word!! As much as mommy loves her some Motley Crue... Mini loves her some Doodlebops... So in no way I was going to deny her from seeing them 1 more time!

Upoun DH request the night before ... to let the boys sleep in.... Mini and I quietly got ready and made out way to the bus stop... MGM HERE WE COME!!

Upon arrival at MGM we went thru straight over to the ticket lines... Mommy thought ahead today and knew we'd only be gone a few hours... so I brought my ticket... and my debit card... and that's it! We were in like flynn!! Made our way to where we'd gotten tickets the day before and scored us another!! The desk had nobody waiting... we got the 10am show!! 1st show of the day!! YIPEE!!!

Since we had an hour to kill we just played around the lake there while we waited and got into the waiting area early.... so we could sit where we knew we'd have to be to sit front row!

Upon the doors opening Mini and I quickly moved to the front row... and there was only 1 seat... no matter... she wouldn't be sitting in it anyways!! We quickly clamed it as ours and waited 5-10 minutes for the show to start!!! We SCORED BIGTIME!! FRONT ROW BABY!!! Mini was head over heels happy!!

During the show I took many pictures again... here are a few

And the next picture is Mini's favorite of the whole trip! Since we were in the front row when the Doodles came around to shake hands Mini reached hers up and got to hold DeeDee's hand!!! She was on cloud 9!! Ever since she sees the pic and says... Look mommy!! DeeDee held my hand!!!!

Successful show in hand... we exited as we'd done the day before... after the masses... and I bought Mini a Doodlebops CD... we contemplated the costumes but I decided against.... too hot here.... and we had months till Halloween so it'd be ruined by then.

With a great morning under our belt... Mini and I headed back to Pop Century... alone on the bus... to tell the boys all about her and DeeDee!!

Up Next.... Dude!!! It was like Tooootally .... Epcot!!

Day 9 part 2

After our triumphant return to tell everyone about our Doodle adventure... and some rest... we finally have the boys ready and are on our way out the door... headed on over to Epcot....

We were able to get there and thru the gates at 3pm... since we'd already done what we wanted to as far as Mission Space and Test Track we decided it was time to head on over to The Living Seas to catch our favorite turtle... Crush...Duuude!!.... and see some of his fishy friends...

Before going in we took a quick break in the "leaf water" area...

After the break we went on in and did the kidcot real quick because we could see the HUGE line for Turtle Talk... so we were waiting to see if it would go down... it didn't... oh well.. . line here we come!!

We love this show... sadly this time we didn't get picked like we had at DL a year and a half before.... SIDETRACK!!... When we went to DL for New Years and did TT there Crush picked Forest... and he wanted to talk to his parent.. so DH talked to him... and when Crush asked him his name and DH gave the same answer as DS did Crush just stared.... silent... and then said "who.... that's crazy dude!!" So since then we always make a stop to see him... if the line isn't more than 30 min that is...

Afterwards everyone but me got eaten by Bruce!!!! LOL... sorta...

We looked around the Living seas a bit more... checked out the dolphin tank and then headed back out for some more leaf water time... While we were out there we saw this tiny guy

I kid you not he was sooooo sooo tiny!! I was lucky enough he didn't move so I could get a closeup


Now it's time to grab some grub.... not Timon and Pumba grub.... but grub none the less...

We took the Friendship Boat so while re were going across DH took some shots of the World Showcase

When we got off the boat we headed directly to France... we really wanted to see Beast...

It looks like you had a blast. I love that you got to see the DoodleBops 2x! That Rocks! My lil'l Tink would go nuts. We brought her to see them here this spring. She had a total blast dancing on my lap.

Keep it coming...I understand it can be difficult to write 1 report, let alone 2...

Day 9 Part 3

**sidenote**Sorry I cut out early on you all on the previous post... I wanted to get home...lol and then got busy w/ sis coming over, bff coming over... and IMing w/ my new pal Serina lol... ok... back to the story***


So we were waiting in a hallway.... for Belle and Beast... who were inside the bookstore in France....


With all the bad luck in the world.... the sky opens up!!! We are getting poured on... luckily it was a covered hallway!! But the bad part.... they would be leaving... now... and wouldn't be back since it was already late... almost 6.... so our plan go see the beastie had been thwarted by mother nature!!!

So we hid out for a few minutes and decided we were too hungry to wait.... and the rain was lightening up a bit... so we headed to Morocco... when the sky opened up again! Dag nab it!!! So we hung out in the Turkish bath looking area and watched the rain fall in the center of it....

Only being able to take that for so long we decided to peruse the stores and see what kind of cool stuff they had.... Really pretty stuff I must say!!

It was still sprinkling but we decided to just go for it and made our way towards Mexico...

LOOK THE CANDY LADY!!! I had seen much about her on other trippies before we went so we watched for a minute ... boy is she good!!!

We were feeling a bit hungry so we went over to the American pavilion and got us some funnel cake!!! Man is that stuff goood!!!! Mini and Ry seemed to really love it too!

After our Funnel cake we looked around Italy for a bit and decided to head towards Canada to see if LeCellier would take us early.... No dice!

What to do in Canada when you are waiting for your ADR??? We went to see O'Canada... very very very dated movie... but really nice... I love the 360 view... messes with your head!!

After we exited we walked around the waterfall area and took this picture

Then we headed over to LeCellier ... 10 minutes till ADR we can check in now!!!! So we did!

We only waited 15 minutes or so before it was our turn.... We went on in and were seated near the front in a cute little area.... got our breads... YUM... got the cheese soup... DOUBLE TRIPLE YUM!! and got our Steaks.. YUM YUM YUM... hands down this was our whole family's favorite of the trip.... Forest and I shared here as we'd done at Primetime and still both left full!!

After dinner Illuminations had already been over... Our ADR in case you were wondering was at 8:30.... so we took a quiet stroll to the main gates... got in the van... and headed "home"... to Pop that is!! lol

We did the normal night routine... got the kids to bed and DH and I hung out by the pool while Forest stayed in the room with his sleeping brother and sister for a little.... as soon as I came back he suited up and joined daddy for a swim...

UP NEXT.... We just want 1 day... on 1 of the tickets!!!

Day 10 Part 1

So today would be our free day… what do we do???


We wake up early and get our hineys over to Animal Kingdom so the boys can get the free photo picture done at Expedition Everest that I had earned when I played the EE game a few months earlier… and we kept forgetting it every other time…

We got there… got into the crowds just after rope drop and made our way through security… but I had something to take care of…. I had a problem…. I had used a day on our rest day on my ticket… and after today I would be out of days… and we had 1 more day!!! So I was told to go to guest relations and see about adding a day…. And to have them change that “coupon” into a voucher for the picture at EE

Only there was one BIG problem…. We had 10 day tickets… and that’s the highest they go (I don’t know if that is still the case… but it was then) so rather than paying a few dollars I had to pay 70something to get a 1 day non hopper for our final day!!!

Whatever… I am not going home early… so I handed over the dough!! Not happily… but handed over nonetheless…

And then I wait… and wait… and wait… FOREVER!!! It took forever for the guy to get the ticket done… and then get me charged for it.. If I recall he charged me twice so I then had to wait for him to run a cancel of one of the charges…

Luckily he used his Disney magic and made it up by giving me a paper that gave us a fastpass for 5 to use at ANY ride in Animal Kingdom… and what would that ride be??

YUP!! You guessed it!!

EXPEDITION EVEREST!!!

So the wee ones and I headed over to meet up with the boys… who.. mind you… neglected to grab the coupon before they went on their way… so had already ridden it once using single rider line while they waited… and thought I’d gotten lost…

So as luck would have it for them… they’d get to go again!! But wait.. the FP is for 5…. So we looked around… and saw a mother and her 2 boys trying to talk dad into going… but he was having none of it… So DH and Forest went up to them and said they had a FP for 5 but only would be using 2 of the spaces… did they want to go with them???

Well DUH!! They said yes… thanked them profusely and they all headed on in for their ride… YAY!! Pixie dusted someone else!! Great job boys!!!

Mini, Ry and I waited for them to return… which was pretty quick… got their picture # and then DH took the kids outside while I went to the photo counter to get the photo…. I though they’d have to ship to me or something… he said if I wait just a few minutes I could pick it up at a counter across the way…

I kid you not when I say how FAST it was!!! We were out of there after just a few minutes… Just in time to see our favorite show!!

Festival of the Lion King!!! We’d missed it the other day and it was too hot to wait for the next show… and we REFUSE… and I mean REFUSE… not to see it at least once a trip!

We were pretty close to the front when they opened the doors and were seated in the Elephant section. I always wish I was in lion… but it wasn’t bad

We thoroughly enjoyed the show… and I took a picture of my favorite part….

And of course… had to get a shot of Simba :-D

After the show we waited for some of the crowd to get out then made our way out too… and out of AK… we’d conquered what we wanted to do and didn’t see the need to stay… TOO HOT!!!!

Once we exited the gates we saw Wes Palm… so Forest just had to get a picture with him!!!

That is a total bummer that you had to spend an extra $70 for 1 day. If that happens again, maybe try to get yourself a non expiry ticket with more days. Then to top it off the man over charged you...bummer! But hey the no stop at go pass for EE was great!

If I recall correct it was that much because it was a 1 day hopper .... not sure... so long ago...
