Not sure, probably last week of sept? I've been researching when they usually offer free dining...we want to take part in the Halloween fun!

HDDMR looks so great we already had this on our list of adrs but I wasn't sure I would like it.........now I can't wait thanks for the report!

Good! Glad to reassure you! It was so wonderful, my mouth is watering thinking of it!

Oh yeah, sorry just made it over here to read your update and it was worth the wait.

I am not a huge fan of the Nemo show and agree that Dinoland is not my favorite. My DS (9) would not go on the dinosaur ride because all the warnings on the lines freaked him out so I give Olivia lots of credit. My 11 year old can't even be seen in the picture because she is hiding. LOL.

I LOVE that picture of Olivia with Pocahontas. Soooo cute. How cool that she got picked for the show. :)

I am so glad you guys had fun at HDDR. We enjoyed HDDR when we went two years ago. It is cool to hear that both Maddie and Olivia enjoyed the show. You worked out the transportation to a T.

And best of all you have another trip in the works!!!!!

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip (and the next one too)

Wow... I swear I replied to your updates? But I don't see my replies anywhere. BUmmer.

I love seeing the girls - the magic and excitement on their faces is just the most precious thing ever. You have so many great years ahead of you to enjoy the magic - I hope you'll continue to write TRs for all of your trips, it just brings such happy memories for me.

It looks like you had a fantastic AK day!

And HDDR is definately on our must-do list... I really want to try it for our upcoming Sweet 16 trip.

Great updates!!

D~

Good morning... I know I am a bit early - but I won't have time to do this tomorrow. So, I hope you (and your adorable family) have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Rise and shine! It was 7am and time to get moving, because today we were headed back to THE MAGIC KINGDOM!! There was so much we didn’t get to see last time we were there! We never made it to Adventureland or Tomorrowland, so clearly we had a lot of ground to cover today!!

This morning was also one we had been looking most forward too, because today Olivia would finally live out her dream of being transformed into a REAL princess! Our appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique wasn’t until 10, but we still wanted to be there for park opening. The in-laws were feeling the exhaustion, so they decided they would meet up with us before lunch and catch up on rest. It worked out great, because we ended up having the most perfect morning with the four of us, and it was nice to have some moments with my little family.

So anyway, we woke up at 7, had breakfast in the room, and we were out the door and at the bus stop by 7:45! It wasn’t too crowded today, EMH’s were at a different park, so again, our bus and line wasn’t bad at all! By 8:25 we were at the MK and standing near the entry ready to watch the opening show and make a beeline for Adventureland! With a bit of time to kill before our BBB appointment we decided to get another very important character M&G taken care of…TINKERBELL!

As soon as the gates opened we were on our way, we were the second or third family in line to meet the fairies, and they had cartoons playing for the kids while we waited for the M&G’s to start. After about 15 minutes, they started letting us through and in no time we were meeting these lovely little pixies!!

First up, was Vanellope, we weren’t too excited, I can’t lie, because Olivia didn’t know her by name, and she was more the fairy with a lot of, lets call it “attitude” on the show…so she acted the part. Boo. But still, we took our photo…

Then was Tink herself. I have to say…I am not a fan! I know she’s supposed to be pretty spunky, but on the movies I’ve watched shes also very timid and sweet. Well, this Tinkerbell WAS NOT! She was soooo loud and obnoxious, I was really turned off by her. She actually was harping on a small girl in front of us because she found out that girl had traded a Tink pin…she was like yelling at her “you traded me!!” and seriously would not let it go! It was awful. So I think Liv was a little apprehensive…

Nonetheless, she went up and hugged her and took her photo, etc..and for some unknown reason she was holding her purse like this…in every pic! Gah…lol…my child. Oh well.

So not having been too impressed by the fairies we decided to go ahead and head to the BBB, hoping they’d just let us get started early. Along the way I had to stop and take this picture!

And then a wonderful surprise appeared! The Fairy Godmother! With hardly any line! So being early, we hopped in line! No PP Photog, so we just had to snap our own pics!

The FG was AWESOME! She so looked and played the part. When she found out that Olivia was about to go the the other FG-in-training for her makeover she just gushed and gushed to her and told her to tell her FG that she said hello! So adorable, I loved her.

So finally, a tad early, about 9:45, it was time! We were here! THE BIBBIDI BOBBIDI BOUTIQUE!!!

It was early, but it was crowded! Soooo many people! We checked in and they asked which package, we did the Crown Package, which is makeup, hair, nails, face gems, and sash for $59.95 and added the dress and shows… which the dress was $65 and the shoes were $20-25. This ended up being a little cheaper than the big Castle Package, and the only difference is that includes photos and a photoshoot. But if you have PP+ you get that included free anyway! Remember that!

Olivia had made her mind up already a couple days before that she wanted to be Cinderella. I was so happy she chose to go really classic, not to mention she totally favors a mini Cindy anyway!

We only had to wait about 15 minutes and the called the princess-to-be back to her changing room. Details people! Look at this!

They even set the shoes out in the most adorable way! I LOVE IT!!!

After she got dressed we were escorted to her Fairy Godmother-in-training and she was soon being made over.

My girl was in HEAVEN! She is so cooperative when it comes to this sort of thing (she’s had a lot of practice) and her FG admittedly had a very easy job with Olivia! It was just a highlight of my life seeing her get the royal treatment. She loved EVERY SECOND of her makeover. The PP Photog seemed to enjoy her too because we seriously have like 30 pictures from her makeover! He even snapped some of Maddie, who by the way was in her Cindy outfit and shoes as well! (Disney storeclearance!)

The makeover only took about 30 minutes and soon she had her big reveal!

She loved it! I cannot stress enough how much I LOVED the BBB! It was worth every single penny! I seriously went into not knowing if it’d be worth it, and thinking we’d only let her ever do this once. But it turned out to be the best day, and I could see doing this over and over again. It was just the best thing ever. The attention she got during the makeover was phenomenal. The attention she got the rest of the day….you’ll soon see, but she was most definitely Disney royalty for the day! It was amazing.

The actual products also were just fabulous. They dresses there are so so so much better than the ones you buy at regular stores, the quality was just something else, and they are fitted so well because they come in sizes. The crown she got was great quality as well. (The small one on the bun) She also came home with the makeup pallet they used. The nail polish, a sash, and a Mickey hair clip. The hairdo lasted three days!! And it was just perfect, really. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Back on track…so after the makeover we thanked all the lovely people who worked there, and tipped our FG, and soon we were on our way. We had to make a quick stop outside the castle to take a photo of the Princess all glammed up, which I immediately posted to FB.

Now we were off to be treated like Royalty the rest of our day in the Magic Kingdom!

Up next, The one with the Teacups!

So after our makeover, we decided to head in a direction we had yet to see, and ventured off towards the Teacups! Hardly a line at all, so we hopped in it and soon we were spinning our hearts out!

I love the Teacups! My mom took me to Disneyland once that I remember at a VERY young age, and I only remember a couple things about it, and one is the Teacups! It’s just so classic Disney, and I loved getting to see the smile on the girls faces!

After our spin, we noticed right in front of the ride that Alice had just walked out! So we ran and got in line to meet her, of course!

Then something so adorable happened, I just can’t even…a small boy was in line behind us and staring at Olivia all dolled up. He finally looked up at his mom and asked her “Mom, is this who we are standing in line to meet?” Referring to Olivia! So precious!! He though she was a Princess he was waiting to see! I love it, melt my heart!

Anyway, Alice ended up being one of the best interactions of the wholeeeee trip! She was so cute and perfect. She absolutely loved Olivia and refered to her as a Princess, of course, and she took extra time talking with her. As you can see Olivia was in full Princess mode, just take a look at how she holds her hands!! Oh my, so darling. A true Princess, indeed!

Alice even asked her to dance!

I am happy to report that I filmed this one too! Yay me!

What a wonderful start to our day! Totally made up for the rude little fairies! Haha! After Alice, we headed over to take a look around Storybook Circus for a bit. We did a lot of exploring under the Big Top! Wow! That place is magnificent! The theming is so spectacular and the smell, oh my goodness, they make delicious, beautiful treats in there and I just can’t even relay how awesome it smelled in there!

We knew we wanted to meet Goofy, Minnie, Donald and Daisy in this area, and Chris had been itching to buy a Goofy shirt and he found the perfect one in here so he bought it!

After that we went and got in line to meet Minnie and Daisy first!

I have to laugh at that one, because Olivia tilts her head in photos ALL THE TIME and now I know where she gets it from, haha! :lmao:

A little disappointed that Daisy didn’t have a PP Photog with her, so we had to take a phone pic. Oh well.

After that we ran to bathrooms so Chris could change into his new shirt before meeting Goofy and Donald!

Again, another awesome moment while in line…a group of ladies behind us, they were probably from Spain or something, were just going nuts over Princess Olivia until they finally asked if they could all take pictures with her! We agreed and I even managed to snap one.

As you can imagine, Olivia was just over the moon. The makeover had already paid off in my opinion, not even an hour after having it. It’s just incredible the attention she received.

So we finally made it to the Great Goofini, and Chris also had to get a pic of him alone with him!

And then Donald, who also wanted to take Liv for a twirl!

There’s that hand again!

About this time the in-laws called to say they were in the park, so we met up with them back in the Big Top. Chris also gave into the smell, and bought a treat in honor of meeting Goofy!

Once the group settled and Mimi got some pics of her Princesses…

We went ahead and rode the Barnstormer, which Olivia LOVED! Me, not so much. Long, hot line for like 2 seconds of ride…haha, but that’s okay. And soon we were finally off to see the great Tomorrowland!

Up next, The One with the Great, Big, Beautiful (and smelly) Tomorrow!

I was so excited! We were finally getting to visit Tomorrowland! Whoo! Again, just so classic Disney, and I could not WAIT to see it!

We walked around bit and took it all in until we came across the Buzz Lightyear ride, we parked the stroller and hopped on in line.

I must say, I am not a fan. After Toy Story Mania, this ride was just blah. And I sucked at it, so that probably is affecting my opinion as well, haha! But seriously, you can’t tell where your laser is pointed! It was no fun for me, because I am competitive and I soooo lost at this one. Even my ride photo was a fail…

Normal….

Normal….

Fail!

Haha, I thought the photo was done already and I turned to tell Chris that I didn’t think my photo was going to be good and FLASH! There it went! And clearly Olivia is a wee bit too short for the ride photo! Oops! :rotfl2:

But after the ride we had a bit of fun! In the store area a CM gave Olivia a blaster to shoot Zurg and then she got to take a photo!

After protecting the Galaxy with Buzz we headed over to the Carousel of Progress to check it out. So…hmm…again, classic Disney. But for me? Booooring. But it did make for a lovely cool rest stop! So I enjoyed that. Chris actually loved it, he thought it was great. What we didn’t love??

1. Getting the song stuck in our heads….
“There’s a great, big, beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of everyday….”
2. Some point very early on in the ride Maddie must have gotten VERY comfortable and she decided to have a restroom break. ..in her diaper…and oh my, the smell…NOT GOOD! We were in the front row and I hadn’t noticed the smell until the room would turn, then it would waft down the line and we would all groan! Then the smell would settle when the show would continue and then again, as the room turned, the smell would waft. It was an ugly, ugly cycle! We were all dying laughing, because there is nowhere you can go until the ride is over. So that, I’m sure, will forever be engrained in our memories, and I have no doubts when we visit Disney when Maddie’s a teenager we will still be talking about the time she pooed in the Carousel of Progress!!

We hit up the People Mover next! This, I loved!

And just look how happy those CM’s are in the background! I love Disney!

What fun! Getting a bird’s eye view of everything! And Olivia enjoyed the dark parts! I could totally spend all day on it!

After that the littles hung with Mimi and PawPaw while Chris, Laci and I tried out Space Mountain! You have no idea how excited I was! I had been looking forward to this for MONTHS!

However, I must report, although I appear happy in the photo, this ride wasn’t all that! We rode the left track and it was PAINFUL! So jerky! We advised the M-I-L not to ride because of her neck…and I ended up with a very harsh bruise on my side. After that impact I spent the remainder of the ride with my arms wedged in beside me trying not to get banged around, boo.

But I am happy to report of some fun we found in the gift shop! A photobooth that take your PP+ card! Woo!

What fun!

It was getting to be lunch time right about here, so we decided to find someplace to eat. After my research, I already knew I wanted to try Columbia Harbour House, and I shrimp basket sounded delicious, so on we went!

The place was pretty crowded, but there were plenty of lines and tons of seating upstairs, so it only took us about 10 minutes or so and we were already finding seats.

Turns out, Chris and I both ordered the shrimp baskets but they accidently gave him fish baskets so they let us keep those and still gave us our shrimp plates! So basically we ended up with TONS of food!

And Maddie’s face upon seeing a table FULL of food… :bitelip:

Everything was great. Nothing real spectacular about it, but very superb for theme park food, I would say. I have zero complaints. The fries and cole slaw were both great as well. The desserts were just okay, but that might be because I was so full!!

All in all, I will most likely end up eating here time after time. I liked the seating and space. Food was good, especially for a quick service. And the service was excellent.

We needed to let our food settle a bit, so after lunch we opted to do a must do from Chris and Olivia’s list…The Hall of Presidents! Yes, I did just say this was on my four year olds must do list. She loves presidents! We often study them, and her faves are Honest Abe and George Washington. Again, this was a great rest time for Maddie, cool and dark, and a real moving show for the rest of us. I am so glad that Walt had a vision for all these amazing things. It was just to cool.

After our little break and some exploring in this area we thought we could hear someone calling out to us…it kinda sounded like “yo ho, yo ho..”

I bet you can guess where we were headed!

Up next, The One with the Best Discovery EVER!

And the only thing about the photobooth is with the PP you dont get an actual printout, it just goes in you PP account, I dont think I mentioned that in my post, but you should know! I actually loved the Hall of Prez....but I think I will use it as a nap time from now on, once was enough, lol...

Teehee....I was wondering if me in the background of the BBB pics was obvious, we have SOOOO many of these photos I didnt even post, like TONS more, and I am in the back of so many like a creeper, lol!

She did stay in costume ALL day, we wanted to get our use from it! I was so worried about the shoes...in fact I asked her multiple time all throughout the day if her feet hurt and if she wanted to change shoes, but she INSISTED she was good and wanted to keep them on. Well....when I went to change her into her "magic" shoes, aka, her sneakers for Big Thunder I saw that she had blisters on her feet! Little stinker did not tell me at all or complain once! It was the combo of the heels and I think the sweat (her shoes were all fogged up all day, ,yuck) and poor thing, clearly it had to hurt. But she wanted to wear them! Needless to say, I MADE her stay in the sneakers after that! So she had them on in her Tiana pics. She still never once complained about her feet though, even after that day! What a trooper. She also never complained about the hair, in fact she kept that bun for 2 & half days and only took it out after swimming when it finally came undone! So I would recommend just to bring spare shoes, or buy the flat ones! The dress did great all day- no issues there. :goodvibes

We also did the pirate makeover on our last day, and you will see my thoughts on that soon, but basically I really was disappointed in it. The makeover part was fun, but within an hour her makeup had sweated off, she didnt want to keep the eye patch on and the bandana just kept sliding off! Literally like an hour after the makeover there was no sign whatsoever that she had had one!!! So that was a bummer but at least we didnt spend a lot on it! :confused3

And I totally didnt notice that kid in the back of Maddies pic! Hahah too funny! :rotfl:

So you posted a picture on Facebook and NOT HERE?!?:confused3

Eeep! It's true! :scared1:

I maaaay have posted a couple of photos only to my FB....but every single night of my trip I picked out 4-5 pics that best summed up our day and posted them on here for everyone to see! It was quite a feat considering it was so flippin' late every night we got back! So dont be angry, I love my DIs-ers!!!!! :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

So I am sure you guessed it, we were now headed over to Adventureland check out The Pirates of the Carribean! pirate:

Olivia enjoyed this one a lot, mainly because of the little drop you go down, I think. But of course, it was just as I expected another great ride. We loved looking out for Captain Jack Sparrow!

[Sidenote: I was soooo not good at finding hidden Mickeys! I swear I spent a good portion of rides just scoping out obscure things, desperately searching for them, to no avail! I even had the book with me, but we were just to busy to stop and pull it out!]

While we were in the area we went ahead and took a spin on the Magic Carpets!

It was about this time we decided to go ahead and try the famed Dole Whip. I gotta say, it always looked appealing and all, but I really didn’t quite get the hype, what could be so darn alluring about some pineapple ice cream?! Well… I GET IT!! What an awesome discovery! Hands down, best snack ever at Disney, love, Love, LOVED it!! Needless to say we partook in many a dole whip during the rest of our trip!

About this time it began to POUR, so we hid out under an awning and enjoyed the delicious pineapple treat for a few minutes before deciding lines would probably be short and the rain wasn’t letting up. I did snap this quick pic of the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House, though we never went to explore it..

We figured we should just take our chances just hoofing it in our rain gear to go seek out a ride for the kiddos! We ended up at Winnie the Pooh! Again, a very cute ride, your classic dark ride fun, and naturally all the littles were extremely pleased.

Since we were nearby and the rain still wasn’t letting up we ran over to Mickey’s Philharmagic next. What fun! We were on the very last row, due to the wheel chair, but I enjoyed our seats still. I usually get awfully sick dealing with anything 3d, but this was pretty smooth and bearable for me. It was an adorable show, and Olivia especially enjoyed it immensely. She was singin’ right along with all her favorite songs. Truly a cute show and wished we could have seen it more than once!

After that we let Olivia pick what she’d like to do, and she wanted to ride the Little Mermaid again, so we happily obliged. Took some photos and stopped by Gaston’s along the way, but Gaston wasn’t out, never did see him.

I took tons of pics this time in LM!

This is Liv showing off her nails, not making cat motions!

And there’s the hand!

I tell ya, I can’t get enough of TLM! This ride is just beyond perfecting, seriously. It is so well done that I just don’t even know what to say about it. I love it, and it’s so my fave! And Olivia’s!

Rain was still drizzling, but we decide to take a chance and head back over to ride that we kept missing next…hmm wonder what it could be?? One of the mountains, perhaps?

Up next, The One with Lots and Lots of Pixie Dust!
