Turn Around and See What Happens -- It's Whoopi Time and that's a wrap 3/31; F&G add

Oh no, poor Mark falling into the bushes!! :faint: Glad he wasn't hurt though, that would have been awful, getting hurt at Disney!

Ooh I love the picture of my fountain! :lovestruc

And glad to hear the other Mark is recovering well from surgery! I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but Brandon had similar surgery in 2012, for a torn labrum in his shoulder and the recovery was awful. He was in a lot of pain for a long time, but now luckily, he seems to be fine! :thumbsup2

Kathy I am so behind with your TR but have just been catching up on the thread title reveal and Mark's little mishap with the bushes!
Thanks goodness he was OK but I must admit it made me giggle :)

I'm not going to do a PTR or TR for the two days we are at Disney during Mark's business trip in March.

I'll post our plans here and then I'll post a few pics from the trip here on this TR. I will be doing a PTR for our girls 8-night stay in May/June.

So, we will fly to Orlando on March 1 and then stop at DTD to have dinner at Earl of Sandwich before we drive to Valdosta, Georgia, to see Mark's customer on Sunday morning. From there, we drive to the Jacksonville, Florida area and will stay in Lake City for one night. We'll see a customer on Monday morning and then drive to Niceville, Florida to see a customer in Santa Rosa on Tuesday morning.

After we are done with the customer in Santa Rosa, we will drive to Disney World. We will check into the resort before dinner if time allows. We are staying here:

After checking in (hopefully), we will drive to DTD for our dinner at Raglan Road.

We may do a little window shopping before going back to the AKL.

Wednesday morning (March 5), I will be up early to sit on my balcony looking at this:

We will drive to the Poly for our breakfast ADR and then head to the Magic Kingdom. I have FP+ for Peter Pan and Winnie-the-Pooh in the morning. We will see what else we can fit in before we meet MEK (Mary Ellen and hubby, Denny) for lunch at Columbia Harbor House. I'm so glad she noticed that we were going to be there the same day and that we can hook up again (I had the pleasure of meeting Mary Ellen and Denny in June of last year).

We will continue to hang at the MK; we have one more FP+ for the Mermaid ride late in the afternoon. We will probably have dinner at Cosmic Rays, unless we hop over to the Studios.

Thursday, March 6, we will have something quick from Mara for breakfast and then head over to Epcot. We have FP+ for Living with the Land, Soarin' and Mission (for Mark). We'll only be at Epcot until 1:00 and then we drive to the Beach Club for lunch at Beaches & Cream at 1:30.

After lunch, we will drive to Naples where we will stay until Sunday. Mark has two customers he needs to see on Friday. I may or may not go with him. Unfortunately, Nicki has to work on Saturday, so she's hoping to get Friday off or part of the day and we'll go shopping. We will have dinner with Todd and Nicki on Friday night at Tommy Bahamas.

Saturday will be a pool day (we are counting on warm weather). Saturday night we will have dinner at Da Ru Ma with Todd and Nicki. We fly home Sunday morning.

I think it will be a good trip. We are seeing two customers I've not met before and a few favorites. And it's always good to get a Disney fix in there. :)

Oh my goodness...we were just in Naples visiting family a couple weeks ago and we ALWAYS go eat at Da Ru Ma!!! It's such a great place. DD loves the hibachi. What a small world!

I hope you enjoy your trip coming up so soon!

Trying to catch up!!!

I know you will post a couple of pictures from your little trip!!!

stay WARM!!!

:cool1::cool1:Joining the fun!! Today I feel like I live in Chicago and need a WDW trip. over 12 inches of snow!! And more coming down....oh a most needed day of DISing:cool1::cool1:

Glad the shoulder surgery and recovery are going well. Rolo looks like one of my dogs...they want to snuggle to the point of suffocation!

I can't believe Mark fell into the bushes! That's just one of those times that you think you're doing something so clever and it bites you! That'll teach him to try and avoid your picture taking!

/
I am playing a little catch up here so am a few posts behind.
Yummm for Yak & Yeti dinner. we ate there once and really enjoyed it. Your photos reminded me to put it on our list of places to go back to soon. Looks like the girls enjoyed it too.
Not sure what Mary's drink was called, so lets just call it "Yummy"
Great monitor lizard picture. When we were at Animal Kingdom on our get away I saw this
Ecf0Ih9OxEntXGlDLJsZJncn775t02BIpSaJkbykMFo=w639-h480-no

and thought of you right away!

Was Avery hiding on the Dinosaur ride?

great group photos with Everest in the background!!!

and yay you caught the parade! Haven't seen this parade in some time....and I like it too. It was Katie's first parade ever. I love Baloo! (huh..reading on and in between I see that its different at Christmas time. did not know that. but still it has Baloo so it has to be good!)

Oh I m so glad that you brother did not need an amputation! I hope the medication is helping and not making hiim sick again.

Nice dinner at Jiko! Its nice that the girls can be alone for short spurts -- we give Katie an hour or two at home now and then too. Helps her feel more responsible and independent and Joe and I appreciate the occasional trip to the stores and time for adult conversations!!

Glad you were able to get the shirts in time, what a lot of crap for the FeDEx driver...they should have comped your brother the cost to ship them to you. just sayin'

I'm not going to be able to read any more....too much shoveling today. I am beat! I think I'll be home tomorrow too so hopefully i can catch up then. about 12 inches of snow this morning. now ice is coming down and 3 inches more due over night. YAY. and more for Friday night. Yes, I am ready for spring!!!

I am doing really bad keeping up with everyone else's threads, let alone my own. Please forgive me. There have been some changes at the office and I can't DIS as much as I used to when I had some down time. And I am trying to pack my china and curio cabinet up as we are having the whole first floor painted while we are in Florida. And to top all of that off, we are getting my father-in-law here on Saturday until the evening of the 24th. Can you say I'm exhausted? I really want to get moving on this and am going to try to get a couple updates done over the weekend. We leave in two weeks for Florida and I have a PTR I want to get started by April 1.

Before I start replies, here is a photo I found that I missed on the last update. After their ride in space, Avery and Mark had to try on hats:

Oh my! First shower post surgery!! Good luck to both of them. :goodvibes

From what I understand, it didn't go well. Mark went to hold on to the wall or something, and the water sprayed right on his incisions.

I will make sure to tell Kira you said hello. :goodvibes

Thank you.

I bet a batch of Momma's cookies will bring magical healing powers for Mark. Hope you guys have safe and easy travels and a weekend full of family fun!

He said the cookies were as good as ever and he really enjoyed them (he was being stingy and wouldn't share. We had a fun weekend with the kids...snowy and scary driving (I don't drive in snow and had to in order for Alisha and I to get to our massages) and expensive...as we took the to lunch, dinner and breakfast.

I saw the driveway pictures on FB, and I am not one teeny tiny bit jealous of all your snow. I am pretty much always ready for winter to be over with before it even starts, and that's just what little winter we get here. I can't even imagine the dread I would have if I had to deal with what you guys have to deal with.

Caren, we are so, so tired of it. But I feel for the South and East Coast; especially the south since they are not used to it. I'm hoping we are done with the brunt of it now. It is truly depressing and exhausting.

Hope you win some furnace money! :cheer2:

Unfortunately, I barely won enough for breakfast. But there's always next time.

I have not been on the DIS all that much this past week with all that is going on. I come back and there is more happening with you than there is snow on the ground (and that's a lot). :lmao:

You don't know the half of it (my brother is back in the hospital).

I am glad that Marks surgery went well. Prayers going out that he will have a complete and quick recovery and that Alisha will have the strenth and patience these next few weeks. I'm also sure mom's homemade cookies will help speed up the recovery. ;)

Thanks, Bob. He went most of yesterday and all day today without any pain meds which is a good sign; my cookies put a smile on his face that they always do.

I hear you with the snow. I AM SO FED UP WITH THIS WINTER ALREADY. It's becoming a very easy job for a meteorologist here in N.E. Ohio; This weeeks forcast, snow, snow and more snow mixed in with frigid temperatures and blowing winds. At least your only weeks away from a return home to WDW, we won't be back until June 2nd. These four months can't come fast enough.

These next two weeks can't go fast enough. :rotfl2:

I've done my share, but overall not really a bad experience. :scratchin

I think a lot of his has to do with the patient.

What a wonderful Mom, baking her baby some chocolate chip cookies! :thumbsup2

He's my baby...no matter how old he gets or if he is married.

And good luck winning lots of new furnace $$$ ::yes::

Unfortunately, I must have wore out my luck in Florida last August.

sweet Mark is treating you and Alisha to a massage! sure he will love getting some of his mama's cookies!
safe travels this weekend and enjoy the time with the kids! good luck on hitting it big at the casino!

Isn't he a honey? It was a really nice massage too.

Hope Mark's recovery goes well - I'm sure Alisha could use a "break" and get to go back to work! Keeping all of you in my thoughts!

She went half days the first two days after the surgery, but she's back full time now. He has gotten a lot of recruiting done by being off work. He can still talk on the phone.

So sorry you got dumped on again! Very thankful that it went south of us though. I have the same problem as you posted on FB - no where to throw the snow! The snow banks along my driveway are higher than me! Yuck.

I'm so worried when it starts warming up and melting where the heck it is all going to go. I certainly hope it is not our basements.

I'll do more responses tomorrow...I promise.

I will get to responses a bit later; I have to catch up after being out of the office on Friday and our busy weekend in Dubuque.

But here's the picture after my klutz husband fell in the bushes:

I want to know how Mark stayed so clean? He really looks none the worse after his fall!

Oh my gosh Kathy! I am so laughing at Mark having fallen into the bushes. You may remember that John had a similar experience when he tried to jump and let me take a picture. Right into the bushes he went. Sounds like we gotta keep our men away from Disney foliage. :rotfl:

I knew YOU would understand. I do remember John having a similar experience. Our men need a leash, I think. ;)

As always, I'm loving the pictures of ya'll and the girls. They are all so good.

Thank you.

:rotfl2: Poor Mark! I am sure that wasn't fun to fall... but it must have been funny to watch. ;)

I hadn't laughed that hard in ages.

Love the pink hat!!

It was a cutie; Mark should have gotten it for our brutal winter.

Geez… I can't keep up with you. The kids naps have been all over the place and I have been so tired at night I can't DIS.

I'm sorry the kids are napping all over the plae. don't they have beds? :lmao::lmao:

I'm glad Mark surgery was a success. I was following on FB.

Thanks; he's doing well. Follow up with the doctor is this coming Wednesday.

------------------

Glad you got your ride on SE!

Me too.

Ooooooooohhhhhh naughty!

If I'm not mistaken, didn't you just post something about this on FB the other day?

Hope everything is going better with your mom.

She's home; I think a lot of it is in her head.

We just got 10'' topped with ice yesterday after 5'' Monday. Sunday could of been the storm of the year but it is trending out to sea. :scratchin

I can't remember a winter this bad in a long time. I hope you have all been safe, and I hope Ana hasn't missed too much school.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I know you would have been right along with me laughing up a storm.

Glad Mark was ok and didn't get seriously hurt.

The only thing hurting was his pride.

I hear some babbling coming from the bedroom… guess it's time to go back to work. :faint:

Give those babes kisses for me.

Oh man I'm giggling so bad right now, hope no one comes into my office! :rotfl2: :rotfl: I can just picture him landing in the bushes and also the panicked look that must have been on the CMs face! Mark doesn't look too dirty in the following pictures so you must have been able to brush him off pretty well!

I'm so happy that I was able to give everyone a good laugh. I figured all of my DIS freinds would enjoy it. I actually felt sorry for the CM. I think because the bushes were so full, that he missed most of the dirt.

I am sorry to admit, that picturing Mark's "spin around" had me in stitches. ;)

Do not be sorry. :rotfl2:

Looks like a fun Epcot visit! Plus double the hat models!

It was a good start to our Epcot day. Lots more to come.

I can just see mark spinning lol. Happy he wasn't hurt though

He is such a child! :goodvibes

That was really funny of Mark taking a dive in the shrubbery! It was a good thing he wasn't hurt, just embarrassed a little! Men are so like children, at least he was in a place all can be kids.

Doris, I truly wish I had been fast enough to get the camera. As he says, he may grow old, but he'll never grow up.

I know your son is probably feeling so much better after having a shower. Nothing feels so good after surgery.

He enjoyed the shower until the spray hit the area that was cut. But he is feeling a lot better this week (only one pain pill all week)

Your chocolate chip cookies will be the best medicine.

He enjoyed them.

I would've laughed hard too, that is hilarious!!!!

I hear you, Jen.

Oh my gosh! Poor Mark taking a tumble. You just can't help but laugh. That's like when I told Em to lean over so I could take a photo at Le Cellier and she wasn't out of the way enough so I told her move more and she fell out of her chair. Argh!

Now, you've met, Mark, Brenda. Would you expect anything less? I could see Michael pullingi the same stunt. Poor Em. ;)

I bought one of my DIL's that pink fuzzy hat. I have to say that it does look good on Mark too! :lmao:

It's a great hat; it looks really warm.

I saw your cookie baking efforts on FB! What a nice treat for your son. Glad to hear he is doing well. Looks like Rolo is content too.

Thanks; he enjoyed the cookies (as did a few of the wrestlers he shared with). Rolo gets in that chair every time Mark gets up to go to the bathroom. But he has now figured out how to get him out. He turns on the massage button and is scares the you know what out of poor Rolo. :rotfl::rotfl:

Poor Mark! I would have been laughing too :rotfl2:

The more laughter the better!

So glad to see my faves-the funny hat pics. :thumbsup2

We might have more hat photos in the next update (can't remember for sure from when I typed it).

Drive carefully this weekend. Bry says we're getting more. He heard somewhere that we've gotten something like 59 inches this winter??

The last I heard, we have had 62.1 inches this season. This has been the worse winter in a very, very long time.

LOL about Mark... Glad he wasn't hurt - but I would have been LOLing too.

D, it was not hard NOT to laugh.

Loved seeing the rest of your day - it looks like you were able to accomplish a lot.

That was just the start; we have lots more to go on this day.

Hope Mark is doing better today.

D~

Mark is doing much better. He is getting itchy to take off the sling, but he knows he can't for another 4 weeks.

Poor Mark!! I’m sure his graceful fall looked funny as all heck! Happy to hear only his dignity was slightly bruised. And a mickey bar can certainly go a long way to feeling better. :goodvibes

I told him it served him right. I said he had to grow up at some point. :rotfl:

Love the hat pix – and yes, tell Mark real men can wear pink! :thumbsup2

And purple. :)

Very thoughtful that Mark is treating you and Alisha to massages! :flower3: (and your homemade cookies will certainly hit the spot with him). :)

He has a heart of gold that son of mine. He didn't want us to be bored while at wrestling. I told him that we could never be bored as long as there was shopping close by.

Be careful driving this weekend – and hope you hit big at the casinos! :cool1:

Thanks; the drive there and home was fine. The driving in Dubuque on Saturday morning...not so much. I don't drive in snow. I'm petrified of it and drive like a 90-year old woman. Well, last Saturday, I had no choice. Mark was driving Mark to wrestling and Alisha doesn't drive in snow either. Let's just say that by the time we got to the massage, I needed it.

Oh my goodness! Poor Mark! Hope nothing more than his pride was injured.

Nah...just a couple of little scratches on his knee and shin.

Fun morning at Epcot!

It was a fun morning.

Continued good thoughts and prayers for Mark's recovery. So sweet of you to bake cookies for him. Tell him to behave, do what he is told for resting it and then therapy so he can have the best outcome possible.

I think Mark finds out at the doctor on Wednesday when he can start therapy.

All right, I'm getting all caught up from vacation!

Hi, Danielle. Good to have you back.

I completely agree with just enjoying the fireworks and not taking too many pictures. Plus, for me, I can never get great pictures of the fireworks anyway, so I've just stopped bothering.

Sometimes, you just have to sit, relax and take it all in. I figured I could always borrow pictures from another trip...the fireworks are always the same. ;)

Love BTMRR at night! It's my favorite time to ride it!

I so agree with you.

Great PP pictures! You guys look so happy. :goodvibes

Thank you.

Good choice in the chocolate chip croissant. Mmmmm.

Mark said it was quite yummy.

Wow, good to know about the last row of the safari. I've never been in that row before! Super bumpy. Duly noted.

Yes, definitely would NOT be my choice of seat in the future.

Yak and Yeti isn't an every trip meal, but every time I've eaten there I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

We hadn't done it since it opened it in 2008, so it was good to get back. I'm going with the girls again in June, but we will skip it in September and go to Flame Tree.

Hahaha, good thing Mark was thoroughly warned so he wasn't surprised by what he thought could possibly be a random person hugging him! :rotfl: Gotta love our DIS community.

I wish I had seen it; I would have snapped a picture.

Well let's remember...in my world it IS called Primeval Hurl. ;)

From now on it is in mine too.

JIKO! So good. I love that place.

We enjoyed it, but there are others I want to try first (Flying Fish will be a first timer for us in September).

Awwww, such good girls calling you during dinner to tell you that they were behaving. I love eating at new places too! We tried Flying Fish in January, and Via Napoli is one of my absolute favorites! I really hope you enjoy them.

So good to hear that. Suggestions for Flying Fish? I haven't a clue what to order.

What a hassle with the package! I can't stand the post office. I'm really glad that you got the shirts though.

It was, but I'm just hapy in the end we got them.

I'll have to remember if we eat at Whispering Canyon in the future to ask for Jeffro. :thumbsup2

He was the best. :thumbsup2

I'm so sad we're missing each other in May!!!!!

Me too; I'll have to let you know when are next going to Gurnee Mills. Maybe we can hook up.

That's awesome that Andy and Des are going to Ireland! It's on my bucket list. :goodvibes

I think they'll have a blast.

Okay, insurance companies are such a joke, aren't they? I can't believe the MRI isn't covered! I'm sorry to hear about your Mom. :( I'm really glad everything went well with Mark's surgery.

Don't I know it. I hate dealing with them. Luckily, everything in Iowa is cheaper, and they only owe about $550 on the bill for the MRI. But still, a lot of money when he is out of work in six weeks and Alisha quits her job in August to go back to school.

Hahahahaha! Oh jeez. Mark falling in the bushes. That's EXACTLY something my Pop would do! "Oh look, I'm so funny AAAAAHHHHHH!" I'm glad he only had a minor injury. But I would also be loving like you and would have just laughed......

I bet your Pop and my DH would have a blast together. We might get to the point we'd have to separate them.

A Mickey bar is the perfect way to reward yourself after going on Mission: Space.

It certainly is. In my case, I'd need several slushes though.

Catching up. Sorry to hear Mark had a rough night. Lack of sleep is another reason he does not need to rush back to work. You feel so out of it.

Yeah; he slept 20 of 24 hours the first night, but the next couple he had more trouble. He's doing much better now and busily doing all of his recruiting stuff while he sits in front of the TV and watches Rolo chase his tail.

Holy cow - Mark fell in the bushes. Not sure if I would have :rotfl2:
or :scared1:

Oh, I definitely think you would have :rotfl:

Glad no harm was done except to maybe his ego...;)

His ego didn't take that big of a hit.

What a cute picture!

Isn't she a cutie?

Nothing wrong with a little pet therapy!

Puppy love is the best.

You don't need a picture of Mark falling into the buses. Your description was good enough. I am still laughing. :rotfl2: Poor Mark. I'm sure he was a good sport about it.

Oh he was, once he got over the fact that I laughed at him and didn't help him up right away. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Catching up!! Rare weekends when I have to work are the only opportunity i have for uninterrupted DIS time! Your trip sound fun and I'm so jealous of your mini March trip! I am dying to move to Florida so job searching has begun, I wish I could drive around and pick a city :rotfl2: I was going to do a quickie trip in April but decided to take the plunge and go tp Disneyland instead!

P.S. I can't bring myself to ride the hurl ride either :rotfl2:

:wave2:; good to see you. Good for you on going to Disneyland. We are doing that next year so I will need lots and lots of hints. No more hurl ever again for me.

Poor Mark falling into the bushes. It's so embarrassing when that happens in front of people.

It was quite the sight. It is embarrassing, but he brought it on himself. :rolleyes2

I am loving this trip report. I would have laughed too about Mark falling in the shrubs, how couldn't you?

:wave2: Tracy, thanks for coming over. It was impossible not to laugh...scouts honor.

It was so great to get to meet you in person, you both are such wonderful people. I can't wait to read more.

It was a pleasure meeting you and Bill. I'm so glad you could make the meet.

That was totally NOT where I thought your title came from. I was guessing someone was going to say "Turn Around" and you would run into a DIS friend.

Seriously, my husband has given me more good juice for titles of TR's!

Poor Mark! But sometimes you just have to suffer for your art.

Yes, yes you do; I'm waiting for him to try on that one hat that says, "I can't do this anymore."

I'm so glad he was ok, and you have a fun story to tell that didn't end in EPCOT First Aid

The CM may have had to take him as much as Mary and I were laughing.

The pink fuzzy hat is extremely cute. Does it have a Disney tie-in?

Maybe Frozen? I have no idea. I just remember them picking them up and putting them on.

You guys have done a lot of fun stuff that morning!

We got quite a lot done.

Oh no, poor Mark!!! If you only you had managed to grab a picture....

I so wish I had one. Although if I had, I think he might kill me if I had posted it here.

Pretty blue sky, palm trees, and the spray of water - wish I was standing there right now!

You and me both.

Nice update. Brooklynn, Bella, and I will probably spend plenty of time a The Seas when we have our special days at Epcot in July. There are so many things to see and do in there, and Brooklynn especially loves it, as you are familiar with her love of animals.

It's a good place to spend time when you love animals.

I bet Mark was sore the day after his fall. I 'face planted' at Hollywood Studios one night as we were leaving Fantasmic. I reached to throw something in a trash can and just caught the curb wrong with one foot. Down I went. I started laughing, and after Jill saw that I was fine, she was laughing, too. I had sidewalk burns across my cheek and nose for several days after that. I know people wondered how and old lady got her face messed up like that. :upsidedow

Actually, he never complained (perhaps he was too embarrassed to admit he was aching ;)). I'm glad you were okay. There are situations like these where you just have to laugh.

I'm glad you are having some special family time this weekend. You look quite happy in the FB picture. :)

Thank you; I love spending time with those kids and seeing their love shine.

Poor Mark falling in the bushes. I would have laughed too but then again I am usually the one falling so I have learned to laugh at myself.

Laughter is the best medicine.

Love Imagination and Living Seas. I'll have to hope for some alone time in May a my traveling companion doesn't like them as much as I do. We take break from each other at least one day so I go to them during that time.

Good; glad you won't miss them.

I love the fuzzy pink hat, so Mark. Jim just doesn't do well with hat pics.

We all have Mark for hat pictures as I know many don't like trying them on.

No picture of Mark falling into the bushes? Can you actually say it really happened??? :confused3 Regardless, your description is hilarious and I'm sure I would have joined you and Mary laughing! :rotfl2: Well, until I felt guilty for laughing and went to see if he was hurt or needed help.......

At my age, I'm too slow to think and grab a camera at the same time. I hoped my description gave all a pretty good "picture."

Love the matching hat pictures with Mark and Cayley! :woohoo:

They are so cute, aren't they?

So glad Markie looks like he is recovering! :thumbsup2

He is doing well; thank you.

What a pain! I now see that Mark had his surgery, and is recovering well - I'm so happy to hear it. I'll bet those cookies helped a lot! I hope some day all this insurance stuff gets fixed, but I am thinking it will get worse before it gets better - many docs who can are retiring early not to deal with it, and encouraging young ones not to pursue medicine. It will be hard to find a doc some day.

It truly is sad. I have to find a new doctor because mine left her practice and started a new group, but you had to pay $2100 a year or something like that and you'd get more time with her, etc. I just want to see a doctor for my annual check-up or if I'm sick. I don't need social time.

Okay, now on to your TR! I don't know how I got this far behind - I have had a really busy 2 weeks at work, and I've been so exhausted, I just start to read one TR and fall asleep, so I'm not making much progress.:rotfl: I'm all caught up here, though - sorry I've been MIA.

Trust me, I know how it is. It's so hard to keep up some days and my DIS time at the office has been cut back. :(

Your day at AK looks so fun! I really want to see the Jingle parade one of these days. So cool you got to have an adult dinner and the girls were so responsible!

That parade, in case you missed it, will be ending in June and they are not replacing it or bringing it back.

Too funny about Mark falling in the bushes! :lmao: I'm glad nothing was hurt but his pride. Love the pink furry hat, but I think it looks best on Cayley!:cutie:

The man is a goof in every sense of the word. It definitely looks better on Cayley.

Glad his surgery went well. Thanks, Scott.

That is too funny about Mark falling into the bushes. Glad he was okay but I would have been crying from laughing.

It was hysterical. I'm surprised I didn't have to run to the bathroom from laughing so hard.

Love Figment and Nemo. Fun day so far, for most. LOL

Yes, it was!

OHHHHHHHH No!!!! Poor guy!!! yet i would have been laughing right with you.. So the pictures of Mark afterwards look OK.. How was the bush??? :lmao:

The bush was a little bruised. :lmao::lmao:

Mark looks like he is on the mend! Puppies always make things better...

Yes they do, and this is one overgrown puppy.

so good you were able to take a ride out to the kids house! Did he like his cookies?!?!

He loved his cookies. He always tells me no one can bake cookies like his mommy.

:sad2: That would have been a great one too. :rolleyes1

It sure would have; I'm sure he'll do it again and I'll try to be quicker on the draw.

:headache: The stars just weren't aligning. At least you'll always have the memory of Mark doing a face plant though. :confused3 :lmao:

As you know, photo found.

Obviously. :rotfl2:

I hope he's recovering well. :thumbsup2

He is; and Rolo lays with him on the chair (or pushes Mark out of the chair ;)).

Great Updates Kathy !!I LOVE Figment too !! Rolo remind me of Snoopy , he just plonks down wherever he is comfortable:rotfl2:See I knew Mark and I had stuff in common!! His Flower Bed Dive was unrecorded as was my Torpedoing down the bleaches at Fantasmic:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:Te worse thing hurt is your pride !!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thanks, Rosie. Dogs love their comfy spots. I dont' recall the story of you torpedoing down the bleachers. UGH!

It took me way too long, but I'm here and all caught up!

Hi, Nory. It's good to see you hear. I have so much catching up to do. I'm determined to try to get to it this weekend while my father-in-law and husband watch westerns all weekend.

So much to comment on (yes, I took notes):

Awww...that is so sweet.

-My DH always says no more 7:30 AM flights, too...and I continue to book them anyway! It's the best time of day to fly!

Yes, I figure I just am not going to listen to him...most times (although I did book an 11:00 a.m. flight for our September trip arrival night only because we have no plans but swimming and dinner that night since we will be buying park tickets as our AP's will expire.

-I love the Boardwalk! If only it were somehow connected to SAB...

I was surprised how much I did love it.

-Sorry to hear you had such rotten service at the Plaza. That drives me nuts, whenever you have to wait even though there are plenty of open tables.

I really think they were shorthanded at a lot of the restaurants.

-I love your pictures with Pooh, in front of that storybook. What a nice background!

Thank you; I really liked that area and we had never done it there before.

-Did you ever make it on the Jingle Cruise? From everything I heard, it sounded a little underwhelming.

No, we never did; and I heard the same thing too.

-I've had an equal number of good and bad meals at Yak & Yeti, so I can't decide anymore if I like them or not. Glad your meal was one of the good ones!

We've hit god twice. I'm hoping we do so again in June on our girls trip.

-I've never done Primeval Hurl/Whirl, or Rafiki's. With a little one in tow, I'm sure that will change eventually. Do you think Primeval Whirl is bad even for someone who loves roller coasters?

Yes, I'm sure it will. Rafiki's is especially fun for the little ones with the petty zoo. I think it is the spinning on Hurl that gets me (although EE does the same thing to me now too...probably mya ge.

-I love Jiko, even though I haven't been there in ages. My husband's Ethiopian, though, so I'm pretty used to a lot of the spices.

I'm glad we tried it, and I'm sure we will go back somewhere down the road.

-You mentioned that you don't like staying at WL...can I pry and ask why not? I only stayed there once and really wanted to love it, but I didn't...my room was in desperate need of a refurb, and I got really sick of long waits for the boats (plus it was a chilly January, and spending so much time waiting for and on boats left me feeling never quite warm enough). But I really want to like it there...the lobby and grounds sure are beautiful!

We had a very bad run in with a CM there several years ago who lied to our faces; it didn't sit well with me and totally turned me off the resort. Plus it looks too much like the lodges in Wisconsin that we used to pass ALL of the time going to wrestling.

-I, too, loved Whispering Canyon for breakfast, even though I was nervous about shenanigans (I was there alone, didn't want to deal with any craziness). But I remember the food being delicious, and shenanigan-free!

Yep, good food and no shenanigans...my kind of place when I've not had my coffee yet.

-Since I caught up using links and missed all the comments, I may have missed this...have you shared your feelings about FP+?

I was quite impressed with it; we had absolutely no issues. I'm still not crazy about the limited number you can get and only at one park per day. But the concept works otherwise.

-So glad Mark's surgery went well...I hope his recovery is speedy!

Thank you; I am too. It will be hard on him "not wrestling" for six months during rehab, but in the long run, it was best for him to get it now before he and his wife have babies.

I'm all caught up once again. The ice storm left me way behind. Hope Mark Jr is doing well.

Hi, sweetie. I hope you guys have thawed out some by now. Thank you...Markie is doing much better.

Awww. Poor Mr. Mark. :rotfl: Bless his heart he was trying to be the fun loving guy he is and he toppled over into the flowers.

Oh, the man is all about fun. I just don't think he quite expected that.

I can't even imagine what the CM must have been thinking. :rotfl2:
Can you imagine what the CM's must see day in and day out? Especially on the weekend nights or during F&W and F&GF?!? Oh my goodness!!

She had such a look of fright on her face; I actually felt bad for her. I can only imagine what it is like during F&W with the drunks.

Okay....I know I have more replies, but I'm not too far behind now. Mark and I have some shopping to do tonight before his dad comes over tomorrow for nine days. But I will get back here tonight to finish replies and hopefully post the next update. Thanks for being patient with me.

Oh no, poor Mark falling into the bushes!! :faint: Glad he wasn't hurt though, that would have been awful, getting hurt at Disney!

Yes it would have been awful...but he also would have deserved it for being so silly. :rotfl2:

Ooh I love the picture of my fountain! :lovestruc

I always think of you and Brook when I take a picture of the fountain.

:thumbsup2

Mark is feeling pretty good; only one pain pill this week. I don't know if once he starts the therapy he might have to go back on them. I guess we will find out when he goes for his follow up next week.

Great pics! :)

Thank you. :thumbsup2

Kathy I am so behind with your TR but have just been catching up on the thread title reveal and Mark's little mishap with the bushes!

No worries, Linda. I'm behind everywhere, including here.

Thanks goodness he was OK but I must admit it made me giggle :)

It deserved a giggle (or a roar like Mary and I let out).

Oh my goodness...we were just in Naples visiting family a couple weeks ago and we ALWAYS go eat at Da Ru Ma!!! It's such a great place. DD loves the hibachi. What a small world!

Da Ru Ma has become our "farewell" dinner with Todd and Nicki (who in case you didn't know...we met here on the DIS and they are now our best friends). We love the place. That's awesome that you were just there. :)

I hope you enjoy your trip coming up so soon!

Thank you; two weeks and we will be in Florida...can't wait.

Trying to catch up!!!

Mo, me too...and I have no idea how I'm going to.

I know you will post a couple of pictures from your little trip!!!

I'll add pictures to this TR from our mini-trip since this TR will definitely NOT be done before we go.

stay WARM!!!

You too; I hope you are feeling better.

:cool1::cool1:Joining the fun!! Today I feel like I live in Chicago and need a WDW trip. over 12 inches of snow!! And more coming down....oh a most needed day of DISing:cool1::cool1:

:welcome::welcome: thank you for joining. I hope it helped you on your snowy day. How much did you end up with after the 12 inches. Hope you are all safe.

Glad the shoulder surgery and recovery are going well. Rolo looks like one of my dogs...they want to snuggle to the point of suffocation!

Thank you; yes, Rolo is like that (he also thinks he can sleep with me when he is visiting here...NOT happening.

I can't believe Mark fell into the bushes! That's just one of those times that you think you're doing something so clever and it bites you! That'll teach him to try and avoid your picture taking!

I certainly hope he learned his lesson. ;)

I am playing a little catch up here so am a few posts behind. I'm not sure I'll ever catch up.

Yummm for Yak & Yeti dinner. we ate there once and really enjoyed it. Your photos reminded me to put it on our list of places to go back to soon. Looks like the girls enjoyed it too.

Oh, I do hope you get back soon. We all enjoyed it immensely.

Not sure what Mary's drink was called, so lets just call it "Yummy"

She sure thought it was.

Great monitor lizard picture.

Thanks.

When we were at Animal Kingdom on our get away I saw this
Ecf0Ih9OxEntXGlDLJsZJncn775t02BIpSaJkbykMFo=w639-h480-no

and thought of you right away!

I forgot you could do that. Well, I think I'll stay outside anyway.

Was Avery hiding on the Dinosaur ride?

Yes she was. I'm not sure she plans on going with me again in May? :confused3

great group photos with Everest in the background!!!

Thank you; it turned out really well.

and yay you caught the parade! Haven't seen this parade in some time....and I like it too. It was Katie's first parade ever. I love Baloo! (huh..reading on and in between I see that its different at Christmas time. did not know that. but still it has Baloo so it has to be good!)

I hate to break it to you...but the parade is leaving in June and NOT coming back. :sad2:

Oh I m so glad that you brother did not need an amputation! I hope the medication is helping and not making hiim sick again.

He has so many issues health wise, I'm not sure what meds help and which make matters worse.

Nice dinner at Jiko! Its nice that the girls can be alone for short spurts -- we give Katie an hour or two at home now and then too. Helps her feel more responsible and independent and Joe and I appreciate the occasional trip to the stores and time for adult conversations!!

We were very proud of them.

Glad you were able to get the shirts in time, what a lot of crap for the FeDEx driver...they should have comped your brother the cost to ship them to you. just sayin'

It wasn't Fed Ex's fault; that is who we used to finally get them. The fault laid entirely with the post office.

I'm so sorry you got all of that snow. Theya re predicting a little bit for us tomorrow and Monday and then up to the 50's by the end of the week BEFORE going back down to the 20's the following week. :scared1:

I want to know how Mark stayed so clean? He really looks none the worse after his fall!

I think the bushes blocked his upper part from the dirt; but his knee and shins got it pretty good. :lmao::lmao:

Before I start this update, I had to share this with you.

For those of you who don't know it, D (DMGeurts here on the DIS), makes "Disney bags" among other things. She has become so popular that she has to have people post when she is ready to take orders and the first 10 or 20 (I don't remember exactly) who post on her FB page, are her next custom orders. She also does auction items as well.

I was lucky enough to be able to get a D original which arrived in the mail today. She asked if there was anything particular I wanted and all I said to her was make it "Dumbo" related. And here it is:

And I LOVE it. As does my husband. And if he wasn't such a "man" he might carry it too. D, THANK YOU very much. I truly love it and can't wait to use it on my girls trip in May/June.

Okay, moving on to an update. I think it's about time as it has been 8 days since the last one. I have never been that far behind.

We had just finished shopping at MouseGears and trying on hats and were headed here:

Hmmm...you don't know where here is? Does this help?

How about now?

Yes, we were at the new and unimproved (in our opinion) Test Track. Here was the other car:

(at this point, I'm not sure who had which one...I'm thinking the girls had the pink one).

I tried a few pictures inside the ride, and this is the best I got:

Everyone...move to Europe immediately. Cayley is at the wheel:

From there we moved on to World Showcase for awhile before our lunch ADR. Look at this cutie:

Epcot Tree:

Some photos as we walked along:

Mark had a beer:

While we were in France, we saw Princess Aurora. Avery didn't want to see her and Cayley all of a sudden came became shy. Trust me, Cayley is NOT shy. So she asked me to go with her.

Up next, some culture?

I missed a photopass shoot we had when we first arrived at Epcot and before we got on Spaceship Earth. Mark and I don't see this cute guy often without a long line, so we hopped over as there were only two people in line:

I promise to catch up on everyone else's threads this weekend.

Those girls are sure growing up! It looks like a lovely afternoon in Epcot!

Hope you guys are surviving the nasty weather. I just rode out the storm in Philly Thursday...glad to be back in the mountains and my 60 degree weather. :)

Jill in CO

Hi Kathy! Cute bag! Maybe you can let Mark borrow it a time or two. :rotfl:

How did the girls like the new TT compared to the old one?

Love the photopass pics! Pluto is just to cuddly and fun!
