We have ordered Thanksgiving dinner pickup from local, great restaurant the past few years, so no leftovers. I do like some of these suggestions though for maybe some day in the future.
But did want to stop and say hello, Saphire. It's been ages. Great to see you. Best wishes for a continued great holiday season for you and family.
Normally I'm all about doctoring up a sandwich, but after Thanksgiving I want white bread, mayo and salt OR hot turkey and gravy on white bread. I buy a loaf of white bread once a year so I can indulge!!
Aww, thank you Dan! And warm holiday wishes to you and yours.
Well I was just too tired last night to make that turkey sandwich, however I just finished a hearty sandwich for lunch. Big soft white roll, mayo, cranberry, stuffing, turkey, salt and pepper. YUM! Enjoy your leftovers, everyone!
Seeded Rye Bread with plenty of mayo (Hellman's), thick slices of mixed dark and white meat, cranberry sauce. I made patties and fried some leftover stuffing in butter to put on the side and they were pretty good.
Because of childhood nostalgia I have to make, at least once, my dad's post-Thanksgiving sandwich of warm turkey on cheap, white bread with mayo and Lowry's Seasoned Salt However, today I made warm sliders from dinner rolls with turkey, stuffing mixed with gravy (kind of like the "moist maker" from Friends!), and cranberry sauce. Mashed potatoes and gravy on the side for dipping. So good!!
When I was a kid we always had Thanksgiving dinner early and then sandwiches later in the evening. This was at my grandparents' house. It was always turkey on soft rye bread with mustard.
Small turkey parts, mixed with buffalo ranch sauce, with melted parmesan cheese, with avocado on regular wheat bread or French bread. I have also made turkey, homemade cranberry sauce, Gouda cheese, on regular bread.
